  1. Kid always intrigued me. Thielen/Terrence Marshall/Shenault/Chark with Hayden Hurst/Tommy Tremble, on paper, has so much potential.
  2. Don’t believe it’s any team or teams per sé but rather the two bolded points in general. Fixing the OLine to the standards KC, Philly, Cinci and Detroit have done (big ticket FAs and/or high draft picks over multiple years) is a tough task and not possible to what they want. There are Two to Four (depending on how you look at it) pieces on the OLine that can be upgraded. Tough task to fix in one year. Josh improves other players. Time to start helping him and the longevity of his career. An all-pro WR is a substantially quicker fix for the “Win now” consensus.
  3. Appreciate the effort you put into the polls and the informational post that accompanies them. Props to you! Many thanks!
  4. Makes sense… All 3 lines of work can or do deal with 💩
  5. JSN isn’t making out of the top 15. Would be surprised if he makes it out of top 10. Perfectly noted. This trade has to be a success over the next 2 years. SB appearance or consecutive AFC Championships at absolute worst.
  6. I don’t think he’s getting close to Hardman. Not at all. Was ball parking the $4.25m he got on the one year deal from LA. He will want more than Berrios’ $3.5m/1yr. Without hesitation. That to me is rather high. He’s relatively fresh off his knee injury and really just looked malcontent the majority of his last 2 years of football prior to his LA move… one where he was playing with his boys in Landry & Baker.
  7. He’s the signee. #WinWin
  8. Biggest concern is that if they are in on Hopkins and don’t pull it off that they settle for OBJ’s high priced demands.
  9. If the compensation is similar or slightly better than what Dallas have for Cooks; cool. If the compensation is a decent salary, a decent draft pick and a core player; cool… but they have to get to the dance. Completing the latter of the two and not making it to the Super Bowl in 2 years or consecutive AFC Championships (where they don’t get run over and remain competitive in) would be an absolute failure. Ditto.
  10. Is Rodgers even going to make it as a NYJ? If so, yes. As it stands? Miami has to be the opponent for an in-division prime time game given the 3 games were all respectively competitive. Bills were flat the second meeting @ Orchard Park. Still a shout but that’s only contingent on A-Rod getting there. 2¢
  11. You’re right. My bad. Retract that then. First 4 are the viable options
  12. Regarding Hopkins though… if it comes down to the options of Bills/Chiefs, would put money on the Chiefs. Fresh off the SB, clear cut #1 WR on the depth chart and play calling that will have him open and not forced to beat his man in contested coverage more often than not. He has the personal success… Has to be all about a ring for him now? 2 Lombardi’s in the past 4 seasons versus 0 appearances for Buffalo…
  13. For viewing him highly it’s rather odd not even players from his own team are advocating him receiving a deal that keeps him there long term.
  14. One would think the most likely are Eagles/Chiefs/Bengals/Dolphins. Maybe the Jets if it’s flexed that way. Cowboys could be the late Thanksgiving?
  15. Why? Got a lot of questions surrounding the offense after Josh, Diggs and Dawkins. My issue isn’t trading any draft pick for a player. It’s the player, contract and future. If Hopkins was fresh off his first contract or even at the end of the second; like HOU to AZ. Wouldn’t be as much of a concern.
  16. Isn’t Taiwan the same guy who spoke candidly about the 13 seconds meltdown and informational errors on the sideline during a podcast appearance? YUP.
  17. Loved Hopkins his last year in HOU and first in AZ. Pretty much his whole career has been legit. Just feel as though he’s going to start declining sooner rather than later… Trading away assets that turn into future players on team friendly deals is a rough gamble for a guy heading into his eleventh year. Could be wrong and he plays to that 2017-20 stretch again… Who knows. That’s my 2¢ OK. For those picks I’d be down for. A second and more? No thanks.
  18. No way Jack makes more than the $3.2m from last year… Draft or one of the remaining carcasses is it then 😂
  19. Myles Jack is interesting. Cheaper alternative to Wagner.
  20. Looking at his game log for Baylor over 4 years isn’t that inspiring. 3 INTs and 0 FF over 42 games. 55% of his tackles were on his own. Sounds, like Edmunds. The only difference I’m seeing is he was pretty decent and pressuring and getting to the QB. With minimal splash plays against mediocre teams led me to wonder how he became a top #90 pick. Hope it works out for Bernard and the Bills but I’m not convinced and if they go LB first 2 days again… Neither is the FO.
  21. Totally disagree on the drafting part… you are WAY off. Every year after Brady in 2000 that team drafted starters or major contributors to the Patriots somewhere in the draft until Brady’s departure. The only exceptions were their ‘06, ‘07 & ‘08 classes… ‘07 being the worst. Those drafts, respectively, still netted them; Gostkowski, Brandon Merriweather, Matt Slater and Jerod Mayo. All of which had significant contributions to the organization. WR may be the only complete flop at a position they had during that period in terms of drafting… Though one is a HOF Special Teamer and the other 2 (Edelman and Malcom Mitchell) are the sole reason they completed the largest comeback in Super Bowl History. You’re right in essence however… It was the system with a HOF QB. And more. They cheated multiple times to gain a competitive edge. That had to have made the difference here or there. The drafting though? The drafting was top notch for nearly 20 years. Multiple lengthy contributors virtually every year. Playing garbage opponents 6 times a year for decades was the icing on the cake.
  22. I get the fascination for Evans and Hopkins, I really do. But I have to believe if you’re trading for a WR who you’ll have to rework a contract with and give up assets then why not do it for a younger guy with less mileage and a longer future.
  23. 😂 In terms of statistical game logs, it was his best of the year….
  24. He’s a starter and key player on defense (whether or not he meets the expectations required). Not more important but still importance to the team overall.
