  1. Cool concept but that image is awful… Sorry.
  2. Think Dodson comes away with it to begin with then underperforming play leads to Williams being out into that role.
  3. Tough ask to make a roster period as a late round pick or a UDFA but if Gouraige is on par with Quessenberry, you have to take him IMO given his experience at both Tackle and Guard. Furthermore, if Brown plays to the level of the past 2 years and the guard play next to him is improved will they be willing to love on from the incumbent hope of his turning the corner and actually address it to a serious extent ASAP?
  4. I get that. Didn’t suggest Shorter wasn’t going to make it at all but rather questioned the similarity and how they, in scouting reports, excel at ST which is why I proposed if both can make it…
  5. Will be exciting to see what happens between Shavers and Shorter. Same position, similar build and potentially both are prized for an ST role at a minimum. Makes you wonder if both can make it…?
  6. Well we are about to find out real quick if Dodson just hasn’t had his moment to shine in confidence going into his 4th year… There was no way Milano and Edmunds were going to be leapfrogged regardless of how much people disliked the latter.
  7. Gouraige and Vincent are the most intriguing to me. Think Gouriage makes it if he can beat out Quessenberry and/or Doyle. Or maybe they have him competing against Bates, Boettger and Broeker for a guard spot? He did after all play a lot of games at left guard for the Gators so the position flexibility on the line is there.
  8. So moral of your story is: Don’t smell your own farts. 🧠
  9. Thought maybe he might have specified before or after what positional groups he was happy with the draft complete. Obviously we all feel defensive line is going to be one of the two but I wonder if both or there’s another group he feels needs an extra presence to push, mentor or be a safety net if what they have doesn’t work out.
  10. Any guesses as to whom they are? Or was it a generalised statement?
  11. Maybe some more Offensive Line help? Isaiah Wynn is an interesting one to me… Not going to happen as the number is probably too high.
  12. Every year there’s literally hundreds of candidates that are projected to produce for their drafted team and wrongly so. It’s all perspective I guess to some the Lions were successful and to others they weren’t. That’s the beauty of everything that can accompany existence; the diversification Poor use of draft capital, to me, is trading future high picks to draft a questionable or unsuccessful talent at QB. Realistically that, again to me, in terms of team building is the only thing you trade future high picks for; unless you are legitimately fresh off a SB or conference loss and are at most - two players away from what you believe would get you all the way.
  13. Branch, Hooker and Campbell are all pretty good picks who I think play well for them down the road. Draft is whether the selections you make contribute well for your team, irrespective of where they were drafted.
  14. Personally the only problem I had with Houston’s draft was, as has been highlighted elsewhere multiple times, the gouging to move up to 3 from 12 in comparison for a simple one pick trade for AZ to get back up the board to 6.
  15. How so? They got decent value in most of their picks. The only questionable one was Gibbs @ 9 who either way is now their #1 after Swift to Philly. What’s your 2¢ that puts you in amazement of “chatter”?
  16. Think every team in the division has improved to be honest. Jets made additions to the only thing that held them back last year… QB play. They also added Mecole Hardman and Lazard to pair with some good skill position players. Then Izzy in the draft today who I think could do great things in a limited role. New England made improvements too. JuJu is a solid pick up for them, as was Gesicki and Robinson. They retained most of their Free Agents from the defensive side and had a pretty solid draft to boot. Miami and Buffalo are honestly slightly ahead of where they were at the end of the season, but ahead nonetheless.
  17. 😂 Just asked this in the draft day thread. Lions/Steelers for me personally. Texans and Eagles are right there with them though. Titans closely follow. A few teams had great drafts.
  18. Seeing as the draft is pretty much wrapped up, does anyone reading have a consensus winner of the draft? Personally, it’s between 4 teams: Lions, Steelers, Eagles and Texans. Tempted to say that Tennessee is in that mix too but fall short due to how well those other teams, at least to me, drafted.
  19. Anyone else think Daboll and the Giants had a nice draft?
  20. Neither did the 2 teams in the Super Bowl…. One had a historic pass rush…
  21. Ooof. Fair enough. Thought he’d be a flyer in the last couple of rounds TBH.
  22. If they go safety, what about Ronnie Hickman? I watched a few OSU games this year and always thought he was decent
