  1. Wasnt specifying last year. Was a general observation. We can disagree but a downvote comment because of opinion but doesn’t make it inaccurate. There has been several times where we’ve not shown up and been inept over the course of the past few years. Every team has a lapse here or there. But, going simply by last year, that is exactly how we ended it. Inept football in a playoff game. Make an excuse for injuries but our cornerstone players in Diggs and Allen were there and fine. Both have been the sole reason we won many games.
  2. Don’t think we lose but there is going to be plenty of inept football played this year. A whole half? Who knows but we have put out whole games of inept football several times with Big Blue. 😓
  3. You can be confident that the player is there but are you confident with the play and results that choice will provide…? Most, I believe, aren’t going to be confident in that. If Tremaine caught flak then god help the guy who’ll be worse.
  4. You’re right, grouping him in that rite section was silly of me. He was rather supposed to be explosive 4.4 chess piece that could get on top of DBs quickly. Maybe I’m just missing it.
  5. I’m seeing it all over the place about trading him but it makes zero sense. He is a capable boundary corner who has played decent when asked to. That position is something we may have questions still unresolved come mid season and afterward. It’s Tre and who? Dane Jackson. Meh; an exclusive zone DB and McD’s guy. Benford? Small sample size but decent. Even with all that, the play after Tre’s return was very sub par for what the salary was/is. That question becomes even bigger if the play carries over and becomes the standard for him. Might be another thing that they are relying on less purely designated ST’ers and want back up players to fill that void so the roster is kept with more players they believe have value to the team as a whole and not just for ST coverage. 🤷‍♂️
  6. Also, I’m not seeing this elite speed from Harty & Sherfield…
  7. Liked what i saw again from Jamarcus Ingram. Hope he sticks around in Buffalo, if not, pretty sure someone picks him up.
  8. Could be a blow out for one or the other. That Rodgers/Wilson looks very promising for this season.
  9. Eh that was a typo, meant to say worse. Edited.
  10. I think Lynch is the only questionable thing there. A lot of the talk and recruitment comes directly from Shanny. The draft choices are directly the York’s and Lynch.
  11. With this talent on the team there is absolutely zero excuse for being 9-8. But this is the NFL and several teams on our schedule have made presumptive improvements. Couple of slip ups or underwhelming performances and we could, tragically, be looking at 9-8 come season’s end. Do I think it happens? No. I believe it’ll be no less than a 11 win season but not by leaps and bounds.
  12. Fair point but the statistics on defense say that he played on 98% of Atlanta’s defensive snaps last year with well over a third of them being in a passing (presumably nickel) personnel. It isn’t looking pretty with anything we have on the roster. A cast off isn’t going to be worse and for a defense that lines up in a pass defensive unit more often than not, the biggest changes are for those at the front for gap control and technique. I’d rather they exhaust all options. He produced in Atlanta last year and did collegiately. We’ve seen it in the past where we’ve struggled to get off the field or make stops at crucial times in crucial games with this core staff and roster… with the way the LB play is looking, that might be rearing it’s head again. I am not, like most fans I’m sure, asking not expecting an All-Pro LB to be slotted into the need we have but there has to be an upgrade out there these coming weeks who is available for the team.
  13. Same can be said for Floyd… had no problem scooping him up for less of a pressing need.
  14. So regarding linebacker, which is looking to be a serious need and potential problem for the year (outside Milano), is there anyone that is a potential cut we could pick up? I liked Rahsaan Evans coming out of Bama and figured he’d have a reasonable career but is a FA. What’s the deal there? He had a decent year in Atlanta in 2022… wants too much $$$???
  15. Man, I like Morris. Just don’t think there’s anything he does great which is what’s going to potentially keep him from making the final roster.
  16. You’re absolutely right bro. A QB can carry and elevate a team. It’s no surprise that some coaches piggy back, stick around or find success because of the position. Roster talent was always an issue for a long period here. Think the nail is hit on the head when referencing what previous failed coaches could have done with these rosters and Josh… at the very least playoffs and crash.
  17. Listen, I appreciate and like McD. I really do but the window is small and who knows how long our boy is going to be carrying the franchise before the possibility of QB purgatory comes back to Buffalo… If he has another failed and horrible exit from the playoffs or even misses it entirely, then you have to consider cutting ways with him. I’m not saying you do by any way shape or form just that you at least have to consider it. This IS a SB quality team with Josh at the helm. All possibilities must be examined before the team does in fact quit all together on not just the coach but one another.
  18. Is that their new OC? Never heard of him.
  19. Rashee Rice and Overshown were two prospects that I was hoping Buffalo would consider. Both are playing well for their respective teams two weeks in a row. 😔
  20. A positive takeaway; There was only one mention of the McD/Tomlin William & Mary connection… 😮‍💨
  21. Certainly looks like a lot of Cast Aways on the team.
  22. So we all, unknowingly, have the same expression?
