  1. Always knew Andy liked nuggies!
  2. Eh. To an extent but you need a run game or some form of misdirection to keep the defense from just sitting in a 2 deep or cover 4 shell and forcing Josh to lose his patience with dunking and dunking all night long. Everyone and their mother knows that. 2020 & 2021 (Josh’s best IMO) there was so much motion and misdirection it is peculiar that we haven’t revisited it more frequently if the run game via tailbacks can’t be established. San Fran’, KC, Philly, Detroit and even us too. The only one similar is Philly who make their QB the primary runner.
  3. 😂 6>3 Win>Tie/OT
  4. “I trust the process!” 🫠
  5. I don’t know about this take. I’m in the boat that feels Josh seemed to make better decisions under Daboll. That isn’t to say Dorsey can’t become a decent OC but the track record prior to Josh becoming Josh doesn’t say he can develop a QB into an elite passer. Some people just work better with others. Daboll and Josh were a match and seemed to fit perfectly those years together and is certainly the reason Josh developed from a raw prospect into the MVP type player he is. Did he make mistakes those 4 years? Absolutely but he developed and improved in his decision making. Some of the decisions and turnovers by Josh last season and opening night are totally bizarre… This is what leads people to question Dorsey. Either way, that’s a personal take. Wrong to some, maybe right to others. Who cares about the preference of the OC? Point is you cite metrics but turnovers are up and far more frequent in the past 19 games from Josh… That is under Ken Dorsey as OC. 🤷‍♂️
  6. Chiefs didn’t look that bad at all… They played well at the position of importance; QB Dont think their loss showed anything other than that defense needs Chris Jones and the offense is better with Kelce. Something anyone could tell you, even the most casual football fan. Our loss is ahead of them by a margin purely due to Jets losing Rodgers. Once we were up 10 @ the half, there is no reason they should be losing to a Zach Wilson led team. Josh absolutely lost it but 3rd down defense when it mattered wasn’t that good again which concerns me given our HC.
  7. Well it’s either the Bills or the watered down version in NYG…
  8. A lot of the errors Josh made were his own choices. Call it whatever you want; arrogance or greed. Josh has a tendency to go with whatever he feels is the right play some times. Can’t do that when your goal as a franchise is a SB. Scratch that. Expectation is a SB. Would an upgraded OLine make him better? Absolutely. It does any QB. But there’s a lot left on the table that’s head scratchers because of Josh and Josh alone. Agree to a point. Josh does frequently take the open routes… he did on Monday night. He unfortunately isn’t willing to do it all game if that’s what he’s given. At some point you can sense and feel he’s frustrated with just chipping away at teams. He wants that grand slam home run or liver shot to the opposing team… For all his talk of accountability or things being “on him” it is perplexing that these same problems crop up again and again. That being a consistency, as in many posts from myself and others, comes down to a coaching issue.
  9. Dude seriously… the QB made it work. To boot, the Pats had 2 solid offensive coordinators running the show with Brady in Charlie Wei’s & McDaniels… O’Brien was no slouch calling plays for Tommy either. Point is you need a guy who compliments, understands and accentuates your guy under center in the best possible ways and positions for success consistently. Is Ken Dorsey that guy? I am leaning towards probably not… Carolina was nothing to write home about other than their running game. Cam’s only decent passing year; statistically with what is the norm in terms of scoring, was the MVP season in 2015. The other years, Carolina’s passing game was pretty average under Dorsey as his QB coach. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Don’t usually like Colin Cowherd but he said two things that got me thinking… ”Josh is a heavyweight fighter who lost his cornerman…” “The greatest talents need someone in the sidecar…” This isn’t a Daboll retread comment but something went wrong when those two separated. Josh is rather sloppy with his mechanics by the general consensus of gurus. There is a major concern here that after the past few outings the wheels are starting to vibrate. God help this franchise again if they come off… Something needs to be done. Maybe he goes back to working with Jordan Palmer? Maybe we bring in some seasoned and regimented offensive coordination? Either way, Josh needs something different in his corner cause this past year of football has way too many ups and downs in his play.
  11. Perfectly said.
  12. Nah. Cam Newton was Cam Newton. He had one legit season as an all around QB. Dorsey isn’t it brother. Anyone with a basic concept of play calling can have a 4000+ / 25TD QB when you got the talent Josh has….
  13. You’re right for the most part for last year and, by the looks of it, this year too. This team lives and dies at the hand of Josh. Has been since he came into his own year 3…. Difference was the level of coaching our previous offensive coordinator worked with… Guy learned under the most successful NFL coach in todays game and the most successful college coach in todays game. Belly and Saban. Dorsey? Can’t say the same. He was pulled from Carolina with the rest of McD’s vision. I want him to work but I’m just not seeing it. Josh is a 4000/25TD QB regardless of who is dialing up plays. He’s just that talented. Team needs to turn the direction like they did with Frazier at the end of this season and hire someone with actually quality in the history of offenses they have coached and built… We know Terry would be willing to pay. Someone on this board mentioned yesterday about the problem being Josh seeing Ken as a peer because he was “his choice”. Makes a little sense that the relationship is a little loose and free. We’ve heard Josh and coaches be accountable with the “need to do better etc etc”. Gonna have to see better now. A few of the plays last night were not Josh… 13 seconds was the worst in every facet that happened to this team… For Josh’s competitive ego scoring that much in a short span of time against a heated rival and the cream of the NFL… Also, for as we know, the team as a whole; that was our hypothetical Super Bowl. Anyone who has played sports competitively knows you can get a hangover when expectations are not met… Expectations are not being met. Still believe in our guy under center. Need to see better from him though… Last night was soul destroying for SB aspirations.
  14. Absolutely. Feel a few low end teams would have folded after their marquee signing and short term savior only lasted 4 plays before being finished for, at the time, the game. Resultant effort. Whitehead won the game. Josh lost it. As simple as that. Being from Pittsburgh area I’m going to hear it from a few people with ties to Whitehead. If only Robert Foster was still a Bill that regional ties could be cancelled out.
  15. Disagree. Wilson had a few epic throws and moments himself for being a low end option at QB. Josh is better, should have been better and is expected to be what he’s shown. No excuses for #17. Very few losses have ever been solely on him but this one, unfortunately, was.
  16. Curious as to how many fans feel this loss is worse than the Bengals no show to end last season…
  17. Shouldn’t have made that much difference. No difference than when Josh punted the ball to the NYJ 4 and Hall found a crease for 83 yards…
  18. This team is built for being ahead. Hopefully the offensive showing today isn’t the norm’ for the year otherwise we may not get to see that tandem live up to its potential. Think we should try a “NASCAR” package of Von/Epenesa/Groot/Floyd a few times and see if there’s anything there. Jets had a lot of trouble blocking the explosive players (which is foreseeable).
  19. You better be f-ing right.
  20. I know this topic is common trend but initially I didn’t think Daboll leaving would be that detrimental to Josh’s play but after certain key games last year and this debacle maybe he would of in fact been the better option to make a HC here or give him more seniority? Assistant HC? Some things just work. Josh and Daboll definitely were a great symbiosis.
  21. Seemed to be the premise of at least half of the run plays called. Very peculiar. The talk however will be more Josh’s decision making over Dorsey’s play calling.
  22. The series would no longer be Madden. “I can’t wait to play Allen 28”
  23. Excuses man. All those throws that led to INTs were inexcusable. As was taking his eyes off the ball on the snap fumble.
  24. No way man. Josh is my guy and I defend him more often than not but there no way the potential best player in the league puts his team in this position…
  25. Oh well. It was a nice start to the game. Don’t know what happened. Maybe someone switched from a PlayStation to an Xbox and button mashed?
