  1. Maybe Joe wanted to link up with Deshaun Watson and show him just how shiesty a QB can be… I mean the two will have a load of time on their hands given the circumstances.
  2. Money doesn’t surpercede pressure and expectations from other people let alone yourself. Can be overwhelmed and “out of it” with any amount of monetary value you're being paid…
  3. November seems to be a month we drop a couple games. At least for the last few seasons. I think 2020 we lost 1 but the year after Rex was rough… we lost 3 out of 4 if I remember correctly.
  4. If Fitz, like some have implied, would be unlikely to leave a comfortable gig hosting TNF then why would Peyton leave the slew of things he has with ESPN and Omaha Productions??? It would be awesome if possible but that’s as much of a long shot as McClap getting canned tomorrow…
  5. Ok. And there was no limb to go out on other than he’s played better than a portion or players who are starters, which is actually saying something... But if you’re implying career path, well, that’s a tough task to do when his action is limited and his play is spotty.
  6. I can. I did. He plays better than a decent amount of guys out there but could be upgraded… for right now. That isn’t me making an absolute that he is garbage or an all star. That is exactly what he’s shown, sporty play for a rookie. Some good, some bad.
  7. When will we see a shotgun run from 3rd and short or at the goal line with few yards to go… I need to know!
  8. See a guy who can start in the league but can still be upgraded. Not half bad for a rookie but I wouldn’t hang my hat on him just yet.
  9. Heard something about Ed Wang a few years back reading posts and comments from fans. He actually was a pretty big gamer on XBOX with Stevie, both played with my son a couple times on Gears of War. Players is about the only people actively taking an interest in any message board or communications from fans.
  10. You’re right, there is a shortage of quality starting QBs in the league. I’ll agree with you there.
  11. Plenty of time for the masseuse parlors now! Absolute scumbag. How many people doubted Josh Dobbs going to Arizona and then to Minnesota…? I was certainly one of them but dude is playing very well. Sometimes a back up can come in and do well. Maybe PJ Walker or that Robinson-Thompson kid can do just enough for them to make some noise… For Cleveland fans I hope they do and realize maybe Watson isn’t the answer.
  12. I get it, I do. McDermott has done a great job rebuilding this franchise from where it was but that’s also down to a QB and new ownership wiling to spend the money. You could do just as good, if not better with a replacement. Sure you’ll say you could do worse but a change is inevitable if not needed.
  13. There’s a reason the guy has never been hired and forced his way into a very similar position in Washington. Have to believe he takes the reigns there whenever they decide to can Rivera. Given the overhaul of their “core” players on deadline day, the new owners are willing to move on from under-performers.
  14. Come on John. Everything can run it’s course… McDermott and his tenure have done just that. Season’s fizzle out in an underwhelming fashion under this guy.
  15. To me, struggling to reduce or negate turnovers is in-fact struggling offensively. Throughout this season that is the sole reason we’ve lost games… starting slow and turning the bal over isn’t winning formula. Defense has had let down moments but the offense has had far more. Dorsey was the start to fix the problem, let’s see what else unfolds.
  16. You’re right. The NFL product has and always will sell. That isn’t changing any time soon.
  17. Maybe it’s the vice-versa effect… We’ve had great regular season play and very sub-par play in every post season under McClap with the exception of the Patriots blowout… Maybe, just maybe, we perform in the playoffs after stumbling through the regular season???
  18. Eh, it’s only one more game. Most teams have a mini-bye now with all the Thursday night games. Isn’t as big of an issue as you would believe. Especially with all the advancements in sports medicine and rehab.
  19. Apparently they have one of, if not the, best facilities for that kind of stuff… Injuries happen, especially when you have a team built of older, veteran players.
  20. This is the only way McD could potentially save his job… Scapegoat, yes. But that change was likely to come.
  21. Got to keep DaQuan IMO. If not, a tangible upgrade which may be hard to get for that value.
  22. BITTEN KNEECAPS I SAY, BITTEN KNEECAPS!!!
  23. That last TD drive started at midfield man… Another ST let down. Sure they could have done better but they were on fringe scoring to start. Sideline to Perine and the short pass to Sutton on 3rd & 4 were the only absolute failings by the defense on that drive… They converted that due to coverage design.
  24. The minute Sutton scored that wonder tap TD I knew Denver came to play. Every facet, offense/defense/special teams, had some funky and underwhelming moments. we didn’t run the ball against porous run defense, special teams made many blunders; kick offs, punt coverage and of course the 12 men on the field, and then to top it off the defense itself missed many crucial tackles and let a QB who’s been unable to gain yards on the ground scramble for a decent chunk of yards. I’ve never been in the fire McDermott camp but he needs to go at seasons end unless this team makes a miracle 180° turnaround… it’s consistent errors from his game management. Like many others point out, this guy has invested heavily into a defensive line that rarely shows up for massive cap space, roster spots and a heavy rotation. The stats are convoluted to a handful of games. I think the defense isn’t half as bad as some may think as they are on the field a lot by stalled drives, turnovers and spotty play choices from an offense. Offense is what wins you games and I, personally, feel we need to shift a coaching regime to that end of the field. Josh has played some head scratching games this year but he still has otherworldly talent that you can harness easy success from… 2¢
  25. He’s been saying that before. Nothing new other than phrased a little different. Personally, I don’t like this sort of stuff even as a joke being posted on socials. Especially from someone with close ties to said player. Causes unnecessary drama and dialogue going forward…
