  1. So he’ll go from sounding like Kermit to Ms. Piggy…? 🤔
  2. That was my thought before all of this went down… No way we sign or trade for any of those guys; Khalil, Hunter, Ngakoue, Leonard Williams, Chase Young…. Now with the Wilkins & Greenard deals I don’t know how we’re paying any of them if Floyd was a foregone conclusion that he’d priced himself out of our budget. AJE, Huff and Chaisson in terms of the other younger guys might even be on that list with the way things are going. Might have to look at Barnett or someone who’s underperformed or of the older vet who’s not picked up in the flurry.
  3. Whilst I’m not a fan of it, if they get the use out of him like he’s shown he can do; great receiving back with a chance to play all 3 downs, then props to them. He might end up worth the money they pay. They need a RB badly and would probably end up paying more per year for Saquon, Henry, Ekeler, Jacobs or Pollard…
  4. If King Cade didn’t show what he did last season, sure. The kid looks to be a legit threat in the RZ and middle of the field. Need to get the prototypical X or Z.
  5. Um. Yeah. That’s why it would be back to back years of giving away their top pick if indeed it’s a first rounder included in that deal for Aiyuk… 🤷‍♂️ Elon strikes me as a guy who would enjoy watching the world burn as long as he is or continues to do whatever it is he wants… Which, with being one of the wealthiest public figures in history, he is probably more than capable of doing regardless of how sideways things could go.
  6. I’d be shocked if it’s a first rounder. Back to back years of giving away your top pick isn’t a good strategy. Probably a 2nd and a 3rd. Maybe split over 2024/25.
  7. He isn’t round 1 or early 2 in most leagues after the end to last season. Still a solid option for your number 1 guy though. As much as it pains me to admit, in my big money league I drafted Hill with my first selection followed by Josh with the back to back pick @ 13. Ended pretty well and came second overall; Josh, Hill, Amon, Gibbs and Kyren Williams were all home run hitters. Lost to the guy who had Pickens, Zay Flowers, Puka & CMC. They all balled out that Championship week… Amon and Josh were the only guys who showed up with 20+ points for me. Christ, the guy’s kicker (Sanders) had like 25 lol Either way, I’d look at Diggs just like he is on this team going into this season… low end 1, high end 2.
  8. Would guess to have, with Tre’s offset, around $20m in room for FAs and picks.
  9. Yeah, I’m with you. Appreciate Levi but he isn’t a solution.
  10. Can’t recruit top end talent for peanuts unless you’re in the position of KC; winning Superbowls or a guarantee that you’re at least making it. We are playoff bound but missing pieces for that to be the case. They've made it and won it both with a stacked offense and question marks. We were pegged favorites and still came up short.
  11. Disagree. That $1.2 is no commitment. Neither would $5m. They’re bringing him in for competition, don’t think he nails it in either for the reason you stated; he wants to show people he’s willing to play. He’ll get that chance there. Pitt will be looking at these QBs if they fall to them, no doubt. Pickett isn’t the guy. The guy isn’t even on the roster. That team is just looking to win now and fix the position as they go. They have too much talent on both sides of the ball just to wait it out and hope something materializes that’s a long term fix.
  12. Living in the Pittsburgh area I’ve come to realize that the organization always has the mindset to win now irrespective of the year prior or the projection. Same with their fans. It’s actually the only way a team should think unless they are absolutely in rough shape of talent across the board. You can make a trade to get up there in the draft to grab a QB in the future but they are still in play this year for a QB… Bo Nix, McCarthy, Penix Jr. could all be someone they look to get and sit for a year or two.
  13. I had an employer one time that did just that… Except it wasn’t setting me up for life in the positive sense… Blackballing and defamation were a strong suit of his.
  14. If he doesn’t get resigned, I’m thinking he goes to either Indy, Tennessee or Seattle. Washington is another possibility but I think they go all in on rebuilding a line this off-season and grab one of the headliners @ RB.
  15. Traded to 9 but Odunze & Nabers went at 7&8, Daniels still on board Minny sent a trade that allowed a recoup of the 2024 2nd and 2025 2nd that were traded away…
  16. I still think Diggs at worst is a low-end #1/high-end #2 in this league but the bolded statement is where I completely disagree. Diggs disappeared the last 5 games of the season and didn’t do much in either playoff game he appeared in. Factor in the year prior where he had a decent game against Miami but then was a no show the following week resulting in a one score loss to KC… 2021 ended no different… Did nothing in either game against New England or KC. The last time he showed up consistently in the big games was when we went to the AFCC in the 2020 season. Since then he's played a total of 6 games; 2 each season. In those 6 big games he’s total 46/27/289/0 for an average of 7/4.5/48… Remove the Miami game (9/7/114/0) he’s at 37/20/175/0…. That ain’t showing up my brother. I love him but there needs to be someone else. There was a reason the guy everyone hated in Gabe showed up on the playoffs… Stef’ disappears.
  17. Agreed. The fact it wasn’t him or McDuffie is mind boggling. Pat was #1 in the vote followed by Kelce. Don’t even know why they bother getting the public to vote on that award anyway. It’s like the Presidential candidacy…The public portion has no real weight in the outcome. It’s decided by the group of peers that are already positioned on the sidelines… To the other point, dude has been the best player on that team the past 2 seasons. They would have been stupid to let him walk and play elsewhere.
  18. If it’s between those two DEs, you’d hope they choose Latu. Though Latu honestly reminds me of a more atheltic AJE who was successful the finals two years before declaring. This draft is going to be what they value more. There’s a top end talent at DLine and WR, after that it’s a plethora of guys who could be special. This draft could go so many ways. Pretty exciting.
  19. Eh. He’s got the talent but is a very me-first player. Very few Steeler fans pound the table for him anymore after his antics and outbursts last year… Could do just as good for significantly less.
  20. That’s a lot of money to that defense and if the transpires you’d hope it’s one that you can rely on just as much as Josh to get the team to the promised land. Hunter and Wilkins are going to see sizable contracts put their way this window. If you’re getting both of them I think signing both Chinn and Stone would be tough as awesome as it would be. Both are still young and have proven to be valuable on the back end in certain schemes. The right fit and team probably prices them out of our margins especially with a Hunter & Wilkins acquisition. The trouble when you have these massive contracts on the books in both active and dead cap is that you really are only able to go after the “usual suspects”. The usual suspects they’ve grabbed the services of haven’t exactly been bad, just a combination of injuries and/or lack of use. Defensively they’ve worked out well, Von aside, it’s the offensive skill positions that have fallen short more for the team imo… The OLine ones have paid off. I’ll take them signing those usual suspects for our defense again. Splash the cash or draft specifically for Josh.
  21. I think Savage would be perfect in Poyer’s role, very talented guy who looks to have some potential for the next few years. The last time we picked up a DB that the Packers let go, it worked out tremendously well for us. DQ resigning is one less hole to fill on that line and there’s a lot of them. Played well when he was on the field; especially pre-London. Hollywood Brown though? No thanks. Still can’t believe Baltimore squeezed a 3rd rounder and him for a 1st that in turn turned into another trade in which we selected Elam.
  22. Only a couple days into the legitimate off-season but it’s rough when you get an alert saying “Buffalo have re-signed a playmaker who’s caught 2 TDs over the past two seasons” 🫠
  23. Anything is theoretically possible, but yes it likely won’t happen. A poster made a proposition, I commented a thought about their post in response. You’re right. That’s what you clearly want to hear. Again, You. Are. Right.
  24. That would be a consolation prize if you’re unsuccessful in trading up for Nabers or Odunze… 🤔
  25. I’m guessing it must be the one they tickle the most when under his desk…
