Eagles hiring Nick Sirianni as HC
Man with No Name replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fran is my neighbor. Love him. I'll ask him about this the next time we're out doing yard work at the same time. He and his wife have been to almost every game Nick has coached since starting with the Chiefs. Until COVID-19. -

fun fact: Sirianni was wide receivers coach in KC while Daboll was Offensive Coordinator. -

it speaks for well for you when people want to take you with them. Even more impressive is when the people who hire you leave, and the next guy keeps you on. Sirianni was first hired by Haley in KC. When he left, Crennel kept him on with the team. Then moved on to SD. WOrked with Reich. Reich left the team, and then pulled out the rolodex to bring him back in the fold when he got his own team. people will cry that he got a job over BIenemy, but he has paid more dues and made more contacts to vouch for him, imo. -

I actually forgot about the Colts thing. I think that is more disqualifying than anything. I really think he could have and probably did learn from what happened in Denver. He was ridiculously young at the time. I think you can change stripes at an early age. But the Colts thing was absolutely not good. -

yup. i think a guy like McDaniels deserves a second chance. He's put in the time. He is still young. But most of these guys have shown their stripes. This one was interesting because we had been hearing about the Colts D Coordinator with Philly, but I hadn't heard Nick's name mentioned in a couple years. Maybe I just missed it. -

Chargers to Hire Brandon Staley as HC (not Daboll)
Man with No Name replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Houston's problem is that Cal McNair is Ralph Wilson, Al Davis, James Dolan, etc. He needs to fire easterby. Let Caserio run the franchise. and get the hell out of the way. -

So the Lamar excuses start????
Man with No Name replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think you give lamar what watson got. maybe throw an extra 10 million in there for the MVP. I think Watson is a bit underpaid. that contract would be appropriate for Lamar -
Kudos to Lamar & Josh

yup. even the intentional grounding was a very heads up play by lamar. -
i think it was something along of the lines of "what people don't know about lamar jackson is that he is a pocket passer. if you go back and watch his tape from Louisville..." I do think the NBC production was bad last night. Missed a lot of replays that should've been shown. And I also think some of the insight and/or talking points we expect from the guys is supposed to come from the guys in production.

man, you are playing with fire thinking about installing a modern passing offense with him in there. maybe he figures it out and it's great. we don't know if he can read defenses, go through progressions, etc. that stuff does not happen over night. how much patience are they going to have waiting for him to possibly master those things when they know they can go with tried and true and win a lot of ball games. in any case, i would guess they need somebody better than roman to try to integrate a real offense, while still hanging on to what makes them successful right now. is andy reid available? lol if they shift their focus to proper pass blocking, it will almost definitely cost them something in the run game. we have seen it with the bills. this will be a big riddle for them to solve, and they will need somebody special to put in the work to teach the guys. -
Frazier a “Serious Candidate” for Texans HC gig.
Man with No Name replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The texans need a leader of men, not an offensive guru or whatever. getting a true leader comes first. i think frazier can be that guy. but he definitely needs to bring a good o coordinator with him. i would trust that between him and caserio they can find a guy.
