  1. no reason to get sensitive about it, but allen is better than aaron rodgers RIGHT NOW
  2. Well, Lamar has already been told no and the Bengals are cash poor, so likely not happening for Burrow either. Market getting set back to normal. It happens all the time. A-Rod signed for 250 million in 2000. It wasn't until 2019 that A-Rod was topped!
  3. yup. i remember thinking romo was overstating the issues caused by the elbow. now it kind of seems like maybe Romo actually had a lot more information than the rest of us
  4. well, i root for any team that is not the buffalo bills to make bad decisions. show that man the money!
  5. i just can't see there being a huge market for him if the giants let him go. over 40, really?
  6. i agree. he is a freak athlete, and those guys are just built differently. I'd prefer to not see him until close to christmas. we just need 4 great games from him. that's it.
  7. top 4 is allen mahomes burrow hurts (no particular order there). no questions asked
  8. mcdermott is fine, but we need a steady leader on offense. if we can't have that without having an offensive minded hC, he might need to go. we need a tom moore, but tom moore does not grow on trees. even if dorsey was great, he would be gone in a year or two. can we really afford to go through that every 2 to 3 years?
  9. as others have said, best coaches this year are sirianni, shanahan, and reid. kind of a weird award given with fuzzy logic.
  10. Good for him on a job well done, but there are at least 4 coaches who did a better job than him this year. a silly, somewhat arbitrary award.
  11. Here's what I know about Josh Allen. He is coachable. Giving information does not mean you are TEACHING it well.
  12. so many people don't seem to understand a coach's job is not just calling plays, but TEACHING players to execute plays.
  13. even if it is mcdermott's d, he needs a new person to put his mind together with. I believe it is ultimately mcdermott's fault, but he is a good leader of men, so he stays and continues to lead. He needs to do a better job of filling the gaps on Xs and Os
  14. the chiefs have a system that works. I always thought they would be severely weakened when they lost the threat of having the fastest open field WR in the league, but they didn't seem to miss him much once they got moving. I don't know what our issue is, but we do not fire on all cylinders the way KC does. There are just too many problems to start pointing fingers and imagine we are solving problems. I give up. Expectations were just higher than we were worth this year. Maybe next year will be more fun coming from the position of a dog.
  15. he's not getting any more than low 30s. should be 15-20 maybe. he is replacement level for anybody but the giants, where he has a little more value because he knows the system.
  16. hard to tell what our passing game is capable of with this terrible o-line. as it is, we schemed like doo doo to work around that weakness, and the receivers certainly did not pick up the slack
  17. once we get to the playoffs, it appears we have either all replacement level players on D, or a terrible scheme. Right now we might as well be lighting money on fire.
  18. McDermott should just be de facto d coordinator/head coach. can hire a new d coordinator just for that fresh set of eyes and ears. bring in an o coordinator with full autonomy. I don't know who that can be. A great coordinator who has shown to be a failed head coach would be nice. somebody who we know isn't going anywhere. I have no idea who that is or if it exists.
  19. so i guess we need to ask ourselves why a mediocre team like baltimore can almost beat them while we get rolled by them. And it wasn't just a bad day. The MNF game started out exactly the same. We have matchup problems with them, players and/or scheme, and they aren't going anywhere. so we need to change in a big way.
  20. It is McD's defense. Im not sure if getting rid of frazier will help, but I KNOW that Frazier and Mcdermott together does not work. Have to take a chance with somebody else. Need a fresh set of eyes and ears in the building, if nothing else.
  21. Tom Moore was Peyton's o coordinator his whole time in Indy. Peyton of course had a to of influence himself. very possibly more than any player ever. Indy was finally able to get over the hump because their defense gelled together towards the end of that season. Bob Sanders was finally healthy, and they had Mathis and Freeney who could get to the qb at will when the moment called for it.
  22. and the music city miracle. not more, but close to the same.
  23. Last year broke my heart. This was not unexpected. Despite all the people quoting stats from last year to this year, we are not as good as we were then. We have not show the ability to dominate in over three months. we are capable of beating any team on any given sunday, but the stars would really have to have been aligned for us to take it all the way.
