  1. the fumbles don't bother me, outside of the issues with backup centers. he had some oddly terrible INTs this season. hope those go away. I love you, Josh Allen!
  2. not saying it's saturday's fault, but the team is a reflection of their leader. He needs to be aware of that and make changes in his team's culture. not saying it can happen over night, but it's up to him to make it happen. or it will be up to somebody else next year.
  3. McD is a leader of men and i hope we have him forever. I also hope he is self-aware and does his best to hire guys who can compensate where he falls short.
  4. booger and Clark really shined. as others have said, booger really found his niche because he sucked in the mnf booth. schefter maybe wasn't great but you could see that he was legitimately shaken. great job by everybody overall. we all forget these are all humans and none of us are perfect
  5. There is logic to what you guys are proposing, but "if it ain't broke..." no reason for the NFL to make a move like this. you can't make the system fair. the best team does not always win the super bowl. and yet we have the most popular game in America. and with all that said, given enough time, the cream will rise.
  6. it makes perfect sense. the nflpa wants as much guaranteed money as possible. https://nflpa.com/posts/setting-a-new-standard-for-guaranteed-contracts
  7. He is basically being represented by the NFLPA, which is terrible for him. Their goal is not to do what is good for Lamar, but to set the qb market at the most ridiculous level possible.
  8. ALlen not the mvp. he is showing himself to be more of a top 5 qb than a no.1 this year. mistakes that can't be blamed on Dorsey. What he offers is play making ability to give a chance in any situation for a long, long time. His best is better than anybody else's best. I don't know if he can ever be "the best" for a full 17 game season. Nobody I'd rather have though. I just don't think he has it in him to have that "perfect season" Maybe im wrong. Even Favre was close to it in that one regular season with Minnesota.
  9. i hate to talk like this about human beings, but he should be cut. unless the team believes him to be completely irreplaceable.
  10. Good coordinators can write scripts that score automatic points at the start of the game and after half time. Great coordinators make adjustments when the other team catches on. Daboll was good. He could script the hell out of the first qtr. Was often slow to adjust when things weren't working. Dorsey doesn't script or adjust. Doesn't seem to have the right feel for the game. Sorry to all the but, but, but we are 11-3 people. The points shouldn't be this hard to come by. We were supposed to be the best team in the NFL this year.
  11. a few thoughts. I like McKEnzie and Davis a lot. Unfortunately, they are incredibly unreliable. I think Davis deserves another year. I would be sad to see McKenzie go, but I would understand. We absolutely messed up not getting a dome. The passing game is our strength. When weather is crappy, our stength is NEUTRALIZED. It is not a case of "both teams have to play in it" It is not 1985 anymore. There is no home field advantage to playing in garbage weather. Can't believe we are burning 1.4 billion and can't get a roof with that.
  12. These things blow over in a week or two. Our society has given into bullying though. This is the result.
  13. Men and women are often very different kinds of fans. But he didn't say it very nicely and he did it in a public forum. I don't believe he should lose his job for it, but it's the world we live in. Most of us understand that by now. Add in that nobody likes the guy anyways, and you have yourself a freshly unemployed writer.
  14. There is validity to most opinions in some form or another, especially to the holder of the opinion. Those feelings come from somewhere real, misguided or not. It doesn't make the opinion right or wrong. it's an opinion. BUT there are opinions you can't share publicly. You can't say them out loud. And if you do, the result will be what it is always going to be. Difficult to feel bad for people who cross that line. I hope Jerry has put his money away and will be able to have a reasonable retirement if that is the direction he chooses (or is chosen for him)
  15. 1 normal redshirt year, then a covid year. makes sense.
  16. on a running play, the ball is live until a td is scored or a whistle is blown. not the same as a pass play. i think this is a catch though. 3 feet. shouldn't even matter if he loses the ball after that, right?
  17. I would accept whatever gene steratore has to say about this. To me, 3 steps makes it a catch. He had 2 clear steps then a bit of a dragging, and starting to tuck as he went to the knee. not so sure he was tucked before knee hit. This is a really close call, and the video I watched wasn't slow motion enough for me to be clear.
  18. He has some rough edges to smooth out, but one thing I appreciate about him, is that he will question and speculate on calls made by the officials. drives me crazy how many announcers will just gloss over or ignore bad calls and no calls. There's almost no acknowledgement at all.
  19. maybe we are dealing with a good athlete who had his hand held by a very good teacher and coach for a long time. can't function without that perfect match. happened to donovan mcnabb as well.
