Welp, what are you gonna do ? We have a punchers chance with Josh Allen and Cook. I’m not giving up on the season. The Bills need to A) get in the playoffs B) get hot. That’s it. We just have to hope the Bills can coast on their offense to win enough regular season games and hope McDermott figures out the Safety position by the postseason. Very uncharacteristic of him as he usual gets the most from his defensive backfield. I don’t play fantasy football so I couldn’t care less about stats & rankings. The good thing is the AFC is just a bunch of very good teams, but no one really jumps out as “elite” to me YET.

Wait - The Falcons Were Coming Off Their Bye
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely. The Falcons were also able to blueprint whatever the Patriots were doing to stop James Cook. There was no way he would’ve been able to maintain that level of production from the first 4 games. It was bound to come to an end. The Bills usually come out of the offseason with a massively successful offense, it gets figured out by week 5, they lose a couple games, and now time to regroup. Atlanta had a big advantage coming out of the bye week and being a slower starter than the Bills who shot their offensive load early. -
Will McD ever have a coaching tree?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is my point. You can have the right coach (Bowles) and/or the right QB (Sam Darnold or even Rodgers) yet that’s still not a guarantee to turn things around. -

Miracle ? The Bills handled business against Miami in week 17 and won the necessary games to get in as the Wildcard. Only because it was one of the last games of the regular season the Bengals game was so dramatic. It would’ve been the same result if it happened in week 9. I don’t think people hear how difficult it is to change the culture of a historically losing franchise. Go ask the Jets how much they would love a coach like McDermott. I get the criticism, but I hate when people try to take away his accomplishments. -

Ending a 17 year playoff drought is not changing the game? The Bills have been a heavy hitter in the AFC ever since. I feel like McDermott is an important character in the story of the game. Is his welcome run out ? Maybe, but I don’t doubt for a minute that he wouldn’t have sustained success with another team. -
Was Drake Maye THAT good yesterday?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. I am impressed with Maye and I think he has a future as a starter, but the Bills & Allen are gunning for their 6th straight AFC East title. We aren’t even halfway through the season yet and it’s not like the Pats are up by multiple games. Even if they do win it this year it will still be a fluke until they can do it 2 years in a row. Patriots have an incredibly easy schedule compared to the Bills. -
The Bills aren’t a consensus top 1 or 2 team in the AFC like I initially thought the first 4 weeks of the season. They are what they are at this point. Part of a handful of AFC teams that you can interchange. There really is no top AFC team IMO. The Colts are great, but I don’t think they are the juggernaut the media portrays. I think the representing team for the AFC in the SB will be whichever team gets hot in the postseason and stays relatively healthy. It could be a blessing in disguise to have all of these injuries early and the DTs returning from suspension this week.

1) WR 2) WR 3) WR Buffalo needs to splurge for a receiver with some real speed. Look at what this has done for KC having Rashee Rice back. I hope Beane makes serious inquiries into a potential younger guy who could have a serious future here, but in a SB window I am open for a year rental if the price is right.

Bills “Rally Day”(farewell to the stadium
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
The last day will be emotional. I hope whatever game it is will be a win. -
I have no freaking clue what the offensive identity is the past 2 weeks. I guess put the game on Josh Allen and hope for the best. The defensive identity is to let the other team march down the field with time consuming touchdown drives while converting impossible 3rd and longs in the process. I call it the “bend AND break” Tampon 2 defense.

Bills and Knicks: very similar story
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m a die hard Knicks and Bills fan. It could be much worse. It could be the 2000s. First of all, I don’t think Buffalo is the “doomed” sports city that people try to portray it as. The city has had success in 3 major sports at one time or another. People dismiss the AFL championships, but count the championships for NFL teams before the merger? Knicks have 2 ships in the 70s and like the Bills were one of the premier 90s teams w/ major star power allover both rosters. People think just because you don’t win a championship means the seasons a waste. Watching Josh Allen is like watching Barry Sanders or Dan Marino. I can appreciate their individual success just as much as the teams. -
Because he’s a smart veteran that knows what to do when a play breaks down especially from playing w/ Russ all of those years. I just want a guy that can play the perimeter, has reliable hands, doesn’t make mental errors, and knows exactly where to be. He might’ve lost a step, but he’s better than Keon Coleman. Maybe he can possibly mentor him. Not a bad idea to learn from a SB winning WR and to have him on the roster. I’m not normally a “sign everybody” guy, but Buffalo seems like they’ve reached a make or break moment. Gotta own up to those mistakes in the draft and do what you gotta do to fix them.

Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can’t believe we’re going into 2026 and Jordan Poyer is on the verge of starting. Guy is damn near as old as me. But welcome news I guess. Rapp is been a complete disaster and one of the worst Beane pickups in recent memory. From Injuring fellow players, terrible in coverage, injured, slow, etc he’s been a failure here minus a few plays here & there. -
I was debating the other day who was the worst QB destination of all time. I narrowed it down to Chicago and New York (Jets.) Just absolute pitiful lineup. Even their GOATs are mediocre. Regardless, they should’ve kept in Fields to secure that #1 pick (that they’ll eventually ruin anyway.) They should just concentrate on building a beast running game and defense.
