  1. I believe the Bills are in wait n see mode with a couple guys . The Bills will go hard for a pass rushing DE if we sign 1 we will cut Addison. We got enough money now to be flexible in free agency and there's still money that can be freed up . So as we go kind of situation.
  2. I love me some Reddick especially when he was coming out of Temple University. With that being said I much rather sign Carl Lawson he's a better fit for this D.
  3. Call me greedy and I believe with the right maneuvering with the cap which I believe we have at our disposal I want any combination of Lawson with either Hendrickson or Okwara . Okwara deal from what you saying is very doable and I believe Lawson as well as Hendrickson will get the same type of deals. So it's not gonna kill our cap especially if we make the space via cuts and restructing of other deals. Which would also free up enough space to add a couple Olineman and fill the rest of our holes that we have. RE - Lawson, Hughes 1Tech- Star, Phillips, Draft Pick 3 Tech - Oliver, Zimmer, Add Cheap Vet LE- Hendrickson/Okwara , Epenesa
  4. If u look at the best defenses over the yrs that ran 4-3 zone they all were built on speed & physicality especially in the front 7. The Seahawks, Bucs, Colts & Rams are just a few that come to mind they won the Superbowl with these types of defenses. If we're being honest the Bills D as currently constructed are not built in this fashion especially on the edges . We need to add some juice to this defensive line group and players like Lawson and Reddick can add that demension we've been missing. The interesting thing is like the Bills those teams I mentioned other then Tampa had some high octane offenses and it just seemed like that style of D complemented there offenses very well. We desperately need some more speed and athletic ability added to this D.
  5. I agree but with Star return our run D should get much better. We also need a viable bkup at the 1tech either someone in the draft like Shelvin or McNeil or via free agency .
  6. I don't know i seen a good 7 sacks were he blew away the Tackle blocking him. There's always going to be coverage sacks anyone with 10 sacks on a season would have at least 4-5 of those. Look at tape of the leading sack player and u will see the same thing . I watched TJ Watt sacks at least half of them were coverage sacks or the rush leading the QB his way. I agree he's my favorite he's gotten 95 total pressures the last 2yrs combined and has a 79 PFF grade the last 2 seasons as well. Now think about that stat for a sec , 95 pressures on a team that's usually losing the majority of the time. That's very impressive . I wouldn't mind Carl The Lawman at about 11mil per I think he's the next Shaq Barrett type.
  7. I won't mind signing Turner to a 1yr prove it deal for about 3mil with incentives. Anything more then that is not a good idea. Guards are starting to load up in free agency that should bring the market down with the lack of cap space available league wide.
  8. I like your idea I would just like to add to it forget about Boettger unless u want to sign him to be a bkup. Also no Fluker instead give 4mil to Denzel Good to play RG . DG got his chance to play last yr and was a force for the Raiders on there line. He can also play multiple positions on the line and he's familiar with Bobby Johnson from his time in Indy.
  9. I'd take Gabe but it depends on the price he's seeking. If it's in the 4-6mil range with incentives why not but for more then that no way. I want him hungry that's when he seems to play at his best. 2 yrs in a row his play has dipped in the wrong direction. Maybe he got comfortable with his money or maybe he was dealing with injuries that slowed him down. Either the Bills should proceed with caution with Gabe.
  10. I'll tell u what picking off the Vikings tree is much better then the Panthers, 😂. I'm in.
  11. I agree it was late 3rd & early 4th quarter on the 2 pancake blocks by Bates and the game was out of hand but Van Ginkel and Wilkins looked to be still playing hard on those plays and he still got destroyed. With that being said I wonder if there's a spot on this line for Bates as a starting option . I know he graded out very well in his limited action from last season and it was on a limited playing time but he looks the part out there. I realize he has limitations with his short arm length but some lineman are able overcome that limitation and have strong careers. I hope Mcd and Johnson give Bates every chance to be a starter next season whether it's at RT, G or C find a spot for him.
  12. Btw check out Wr Tj Vasher from Texas Tech I'm hearing he's gonna be a late rd pk or even UDFA . To me he got crazy skills and is huge 6'6 220lbs just needs to refine his gm some route running etc etc.
  13. I give your draft a solid B . Free agency I would gone about it pretty much the same but with different players. I would love Carl Lawson instead Okwara but Okwara is also a nice player. I wouldn't mind either one. Morse u could have made him a post June 1st cut and saved 8.2 mil off the cap. I'm surprised u kept Matekavish and his 3.5 mil cap number. That's a little hefty for a team with cap issues. All in all I respect your plan. I takes hard work to put this together. I commend the effort.
  14. I watched Bills Dolphins week 17 game a couple days ago . Man did Bates put this kid on his arse a couple of times. Ryan Bates welcomed him to the Buffalo pancakes house. 😂
  15. I hope we just take Ettiene at #30 if he's available. This offense has really good wideouts what we really need is either a difference maker at RB or TE. Now all world TE are very very hard to find it's not a direct science finding them either I think it's more about how there developed more then anything else. But backs u can find them and usually the better ones are located in first couple rds of the draft. Ettiene has a Kamara type style to him but I think he's even a better runner then Kamara. This Offense would definitely shoot to the stars with a difference making back.
  16. We missed out on the only Panther that was truly worth the signing James Bradbury was that guy is that guy. Top 5 corner in the league only signed 3yr -45 mil deal with the Giants. Imagine him and Tre on field together that would of been shutdown city. Instead we wanted to dump extra money on the DLINE with average players at best. Mof we sat Murphy and his 9mil on the bench most of the yr add in Norman deal for 6mil and u have an elite corner in Bradbury instead. Check out his numbers vs elite wrs especially in NFC south like Julio , Evans, Thomas in 2019 he shut them down.
  17. I agree with some of your premise but Samuel going to be way to expensive. Plus he plays in the slot most of the time. Now if we can get him at around 8 mil per which I highly doubt we can then yes but for 13-14 mil a yr no way. He's not a special player in think we can find similar players in the draft for much cheaper.
  18. The players I believe fit this mold and I believe the Bills will show interest in amongst others. G/T - Denzel Good DE- Carl Lawson RB- D'Onta Foreman RB - Marlon Mack Wr- John Ross FS- Malik Hooker DT- Kawan Short DE- Aldon Smith DE- Everson Griffen I'm not saying we'll add them all of course just feel like well add a couple of these guys.
  19. Plus teams especially the Bills will coveat players that were cut because they won't affect the comp formula.
  20. No love for Poyer, Hyde, Edmunds, Dawkins & Oliver. I wouldn't call them JAGs I believe where Cleveland has the advantage is because of Myles Garrett . Watt will get a ton of 1 on 1s with Myles on the other side. With us Watt would possibly be the center of attention by the opposing Offense unless Oliver takes a huge step forward this yr.
  21. I would love to sign Haason Reddick but not sure if he's a fit in Mcd scheme. Mcd seems to favor bigger DEs . I'm not sure he's a great fit at Lber either because of his lack of coverage abilities.
  22. I love me some Denzel Good from the Raiders . He finally got a chance to play last yr and was very good. He won't cost much from what the projections are 6mil per season. He can play RG or RT and is a massive man 6'5 340lbs . I don't know if he's a thug but I do know he's great at opening holes in the running . LT-Dawkins LG- Ford C-Feliciano RG-Good RT- Williams
  23. Where did I say Mcd shouldn't use a rotation? Or that he should change his scheme. Didn't we lose 4 guys from the previous yr from our front , Shaq, Star, JP and basically Murphy since he only played in 6 gms and his snap percentage was very low at that. Wouldn't u say we got worse at the Dline without those players? We downgraded and overspent. That's the truth. The point is now to realize the mistakes we made and make good with them. Jefferson, Addison and Butler did not earn there salaries. Hughes is on the downside of his career and Star is coming off a full season out. Obviously just my opinion but i predict that we will move on from at least the 3 I mentioned Addison, Butler and Jefferson.
  24. You guys are flat out amazing . We spent 51 mil on our Dline last season. Was that money well spent ? Did we return value on our investment? I can say with resounding confidence that was a horrible way to spend 50 mil . Do u realize that was 1 or 2 in the NFL on money spent on the Dline? So with a straight face who wants to sign up for that again. I gurantee u that if we bring back the same players we won't get better results. We were winning most of our games by big margins and these guys still couldn't muster pressure consistently with the front 4 . We needed to blitz to get pressure. These are the facts . For those who want to use the lack of off-season excuse your even more amazing . Everyone had to deal with that every player , coach, front office, everyone. Did that stop Josh Allen from growing as a player and leading our offense to a record 502 pts? Did that stop Daryll Williams from allowing 0 sacks on the season? Imagine what he can do with a full off-season ? If anything the Oline needs to have them reps way more then the Defensive line. So stop putting words in my mouth I didn't say blow up the whole Defense I said blow up the edges and get rid of the bkups that are getting paid 7-8 mil per yr. That's ridiculous no team in the NFL is spending that much money on rotational players. Justin Zimmer came in and stole some of these guys reps with his beautiful min salary. We need to find more guys like him to work into Mcd rotations. So keep saying I'm wrong if it suits u but u know damn well that we need to make major changes at the DE spots. So yes I would cut the fat on this line and build around Oliver, Harrison & Epenesa. Btw Harrison Phillips was the 2nd best DT in the NFL the last 6 weeks vs the run . He finally got fully healthy and we seen the results . Oliver got better this last season also and I'm looking forward to full breakout season from him in 2021 and hopefully we can add some players that can muster some consistent pressure on the edges without having to blitz . Last but not least we can get this all done without spending 50 plus mil on the Dline.
