  1. My thoughts exactly. I think what he does now is little bit diva-ish (though nothing too bothering), but above all, I am pretty sure he will not be a diva on football field. So I'd like him to come on reasonable terms. I think he goes to GB though.
  2. I always wanted to ask - why 20/20? I mean I get the meaning of the phrase (i.e. that with later knowledge you know what you should've done in the past), but I don't understand that 20/20 part. Should it mean that you have like 20 pieces of info out of 20 possible later? Not a native speaker ofc. And I googled and didn't find explanation.
  3. How the hell are we not on this list at all? I mean he is more likely to go to Patriots than us? Or Titans who were in his division?
  4. Well then go and watch again. He was throwing some freaking lasers and then he was also throwing some innacurate balls. He also had pretty bad pocket movement quite often. I blame this mostly on his injury, but still. And he while he was chased at times, it wasn't purely on OLine and it wasn't that bad. There were some busted screen plays for example.
  5. I fully agree with this. The Chiefs are still great, but the difference between them and Bills (or anybody else, for that matter), is not as big as it seemed from AFCCG. We were good matchup for them and we had bad gameplan. It is not like that they were playing close games during season since they were bored, and suddenly turned on playoff mode vs us. We just were not ready. There are still many people I know talking about how good Mahomes is and how he can win 5 rings or more (I already have a bet about this lol). I don't see it. I think they don't win next year and then suddenly people will need to realize that after 5 years in the league he has exactly one ring, no matter how good he is. Oh and I rewatched SB. Yes Oline sucked, but Mahomes didn't play well too. He had worst pocket movement I've ever seen from him. He stepped into pressure couple of times, he failed to take checkdowns when they were clearly best options (or took them late), he turned into wrong direction against pressure couple of times (2-3 times he just turned directly into the rusher). He had also couple of overthrows and got finally caught with his INT-worthy throws. He was incredible sometimes, and still very good overall, but definitely not great. I am pretty sure that his injury is partly to blame though.
  6. I am confused tbh. Why would we take CB in round 1? I mean everything is possible, but besides QB and S I can hardly find a position which I find less problematic right now. We need to upgade OL, we need solid TE, speedy RB, we could use some speed at WR, we need 1 tech DT, edge, we might need to solve LB if Milano walks... Could we upgrade CB2? Sure. Could we use some depth? Sure. But is it bigger need than those other positions? I don't think so. I'd be shocked if we took CB round 1, but not from reasons you mention. Looking at mocks there seem to be value on most positions where we really need some upgrade.
  7. That Foster TD vs Jags in year 1 was a thing of beauty.
  8. Like I said check out Tampa's schedule. They will be huge favorites for no. 1 seed in NFC. 2021 has Bills - Bucs SB written all over it.
  9. It will not happen but I'd like it. Open the season vs Tampa in Tampa, close the season vs Tampa in LA.
  10. Brady is past. Mahomes is future. But you are probably right that age might play a role.
  11. It is not hard to understand this position but I'd be willing to bet that you will be singing different song after next season. As for the OP, it doesn't make any sense to Jags. Maybe if you suggested our 1st round pick this year, they would not hang up the call in 5 seconds. They would still hang up and question Beane's mental health though.
  12. Well I think that is sort of a point. Be bad, draft high.
  13. Didn't have time to go throught the thread, so sorry if this was discussed... Anybody has a clue if it is realistic for Lions to trade Goff now? Does it create any dead cap for them? I swear I educate myself on these matters this offseason.
  14. You are excluding Colts because they are in division? What about Bears, Patriots, Giants?
  15. It is hard for me to judge this situation since we miss a ton of info, but still - what a vast difference between Watson and Watt handling similar situations. I'd love to hear what J.J. thinks about this.
  16. This seems correct, and it also seems that they now know it. Last year they realized we need WR1, and we got Diggs. This offseason I fully expect them to redo Dline and do their best to get a gamechanger. Problem is that there are so few of them.
  17. Thanks for the link, I didn't find this one. There is at least some answer to my question: "Time will tell what the league chooses to do. Although a projected cap typically is shared with all owners in December, the final decision isn’t made until late February or early March, through negotiations with the NFL Players Association. By then, the league will know more about whether the vaccine is being distributed and working properly, setting the stage for coffers being restored via ticket revenue in 2021." If they really decide on cap in early March, I am curious if FA starts as usual. Last year it was 18 March. That gives GMs much less time to calculate things. Will be fun offseason.
  18. Anyway, when will we find out what the salary cap for next season is? I googled and still have no idea. I find it weird that it is end of January, FA starts in month and half or so and we still have no idea what the cap will be.
  19. @Zerovoltz Aren't you missing Flank Clark in your first post? He is also under contract. Anyway, whoever thinks that Chiefs will have cap space problem in coming years are just fooling themselves. As said by Zero and Gunner above they have some top paid players and will fill other spots by rookies, cheap veterans and JAGs. Surely, once Mahomes big money really kicks in (which happens in 2023) they might start to be tight, but there is always a way. Maybe eventually it will catch them like it happened to Saints this year, but by that time they can have quite a lot rings in their pockets. We need to find a way to beat them on the field
  20. I just hope we never draft RB in round 1. No matter how good he may be, value is never there.
  21. Fully agree on bolded. But would love to hear your thoughts who do you consider premier pass rusher these days. How many of them you can count? Can you name them? Thing is that these guys are hard to get
  22. @MAJBobby Taron Johnson, Cam Lewis and Josh Thomas (who?) need to be bolded and separated. I also liked how you colored rookies in other thread so it is clear they are new. So I read all your defense primers, and you basically suggest getting rid of old guys at DL, getting two DL top players, drafting a rookie here and there and keeping everything else intact (if Milano stays for reasonable price). I like it. But like a said, I expect something big to happen at our LB corps.
