  1. I am sure there are some Edmunds specific thread out there. But the reason people are being sarcastic here is that Edmunds is by far most discussed subject on these forum for the last two years. So you starting a thread "Let's talk about Edmunds" is sort of funny. If you are really not trolling and feel disrespected the only advice I can give you is don't start a thread on forums until you familiarize yourself with said forums first. EDIT: My take on the topic: Edmunds is not as bad as some posters here are claiming him to be, but he is certainly not a lock to get a longterm contracts. I see 3 options: 1. He gets traded during draft and we draft his replacement. I think this is unlikely since I am not sure McD want to rely on a rookie in an "Allin" year. 2. He plays 2022 on his option and is traded then (for a much lower value). Downside of this approach is that we get next to nothing for him. 3. He gets an extension. I doubt this will happen this offseason. Despite what many are saying, I think McD see his flaws and are not sold on him. And what is more important, we just can't pay everybody. So they will wait and make sure he is worth it.
  2. Same as with the first round of 2021 draft, I think it is interesting to go back and revisit our second round choice. Many of you can see their votes made shortly after the actual pick. Did past year change your mind? I voted Humphrey a year ago and it is hard to see him flourish in Kansas. I have always though that bolstering OLine should be a top priority and he seemed like an obvious option to me at 61. Apparently Basham was way higher on Bills board. I wasn't hating the pick and I am still hopefull that he will be solid player for us for years to come.
  3. With 2022 draft being in two days I think it is interesting to go back and revisit 2021. Many of you can see their votes made shortly after the actual pick. Did past year change your mind? I voted JOK but was totally fine with Rousseau. Looking back I am completely satisfied, Greg was very good his rookie year and I expect him to be better. Not sure how JOK has played except of the stats I can see a those seem fine (14 games / 10 starts - 76 tackles, 3 TFLs, 4 QB Hits, 1,5 Sacks).
  4. Interesting and confusing to me. Why would we want to move up now with both top rated CBs and Williams gone? If the target is Booth he is quite likely to be there at 25. Maybe I am missing something. However, I trust Beane so I'll sit and wait. EDIT: Nevermind, I was missing something. Thanks @Doc Brown.
  5. He means the pick we won't have since we use it to trade up for Jameson Williams?
  6. Cmon I know that Duke Williams wasn't exactly a star here, but listing him as a potential all-time bust? That's not fair!
  7. I'll take Bucs if possible.
  8. Anybody knows if Bills somehow met with Daxton Hill?
  9. I was just revisiting last year and found out that in my local community mock I had picked Terrace Marshall for us since I felt another WR would be great for our offense. IIRC WR was widely considered as an option aroung here. I was wondering how he was doing his rookie year since I didn't remember hearing his name much so I checked his stats. He played 15 games and had 17 catches for 138y and 0 TDs. I know that Panthers didn't exactly shined at QB but still - he was 9th in receiving in the team. Gunner, or anybody else, any idea what went wrong in his rookie year? While we are at it, Dyami Brown also played 15 games and had 12 catches for 165y and ended up 10th (!) in WFT receiving. I think that many people wanted him to Bills in 3rd round, and he went shortly before our pick.
  10. Good read as always. One technical - you have mark ^ for off-field issues but nobody is actually denoted that way I guess Wyatt deserves one? I'd love to see your top 20-22 players adjusted for Bills needs.
  11. Matt Araiza no matter what?
  12. That's actually a good idea, it allows Bills to do some trading. I suggest @NewEra, he was most active in this thread.
  13. Drafting one in round 3 and/or signing a serviceable vet after draft? I guess we are doing the latter no matter what we are just waiting for draft to know how much we need to invest.
  14. Treylon Burks selected. This makes our first round board complete - with 10 players presumably out of reach and some QBs in the mix we are guaranteed to have a shot at at least one of these 14 players. Really curious how it ends up in real life. I'll let the voting open just in case that somebody else reaches 15 votes but my main goal was fulfilled. Thanks everybody for their participation!
  15. After reading this thread the problem I see is that we are too good. We need to start sucking again. That way we may draft in top 10, and we can draft top end RB talent in the beginning of the second round. And everybody will be happy!
  16. I think we are drafting one of the following: Williams, Olave, Johnson, Lloyd, Booth or Gordon. So 5 there and 1 not. While Booth is more likely than anyone else, math still says yes to your question. So yes.
  17. Thanks Virgil for processing my pick from my shortlist since I was on a high level meeting (i.e. sleeping). The world will never know but we were hoping that Boye Mafe falls to us. It didn't happen, so we chose Logan Hall as the next player on our board. We need help all over the Dline, and Hall offers lots of versatility. He lined almost everywhere in Houston. He was also getting a lot better each year in college and we hope that the trend continues in Browns uniform.
  18. I just watched some of his film. I like him. While I certanly hope we can do better in the first round, he is acceptable as a consolation prize I still prefer Burks though.
  19. Run on safeties! The Bears @mannc are on the clock.
  20. Not that it matters much but this is not correct. 3 players. Pickens is chosen and you left him on the list.
  21. Ok I partly agree, definitely some players will not be on our board. We can only make educated or less educated guesses which I agree that we as fans tend to agree put more value on positions of need. But I don't think that it got out of control here. We still pick other players at some point and really good ones make their way to this board. Anyway, for me part of the fun will be comparing it to real results. Looking at board we created here it is very realistic that Daxton Hill will be best available. Will we in fact choose him over some WRs available or someone like Davis/Lloyd/Linderbaum or other players who could be possibly falling? And stuff like this. I guess we will see.
  22. Man it's probably a problem on my side but despite my effort I don't get what you are saying. You say that Bills (in reality) need max 10 guys on the board for the first round, right? And what happens if somehow all those 10 players are taken before we pick? Then we either reach for need (CB/WR as you say) or pick better prospect on other positions. I.e. whoever is next on our board. Which is what we are simulating here. And obviously, as we go on the board becomes relevant for 2nd round, not 1st. Which again is fine for me and I see no harm in it. EDIT: To be more specific. I assume that you are saying that Bills have on their board only e.g. WRs Williams, Wilson, Olave, Burks, CBs Stingley, Gardner, Booth, McDuffie, OG Johnson, S Hamilton, some top OTs including Penning, LB Lloyd and thats it. So what happens if they are all gone? We have to pick someone. Someone who is next on the board. I have no idea if it is Linderbaum or Jordan Davis if they somehow fall, or if it is Kyler Gordon or Jahan Dotson who they might consider 2nd round talents, but they have to pick someone who is next on their board. And goal of this thread was to simulate such board.
  23. What does this have to do with Gunner's response? He reacted on you saying that NewEra's cost analysis was wrong. He gave you long and thoughtful response. And instead of explaining where NewEra and Gunner were wrong you changed the topic.
  24. I am no expert, but two things. Objectively, he should be close to BPA right now (I am on another comp but he is around 17-20 at consensus big board), but he is clearly falling a lot in mocks. And there is the DE Bills thing. We invested 3 high picks and lot of money (Miller) into the position last 2 years. If Beane was to draft another DE high, such guy needs to be such a clear BPA that there is no doubt that we have to take him. And that is and never will be Karlaftis at 25 or even much lower. It is something like Ojabo at 57 or so. We will see. Thanks, and I agree. Voting sample size is small but tendencies are pretty clear imo. As for the board, Jahan Dotson was selected. Seems like yet another WR and CB are going to be next
