  1. You’re thinking with your heart. 2019 Shady isn’t a “home run threat.” He’s a serviceable NFL RB at this point.
  2. Murphy was already cut. Wonder what this means for Wade and the team’s RB stable now...
  3. Is this really shocking? All signs have pointed to this for months, although I thought he would be traded. Serious LOL at people taking an NFL GM’s words at face value.
  4. The Bills have better WR that aren’t going to make their own 53 than Anthony Johnson.
  5. Yikes. This entire thread reads like the kind of people who post Buffalo News Facebook comments from fake profiles. There are some beautiful areas of Baltimore. Chicago is great. Philly rules. Detroit is OK. St Louis kind of sucks but that’s a different story. Yes, all of these places have higher violent crime rates but just like Buffalo, crime is generally concentrated into high-poverty neighborhoods. When I lived in NYC, Brownsville was the roughest place I’ve ever seen. Felt like you were going to get mugged as soon as you stepped off the train platform. Yet, nobody ever mentions NYC as dangerous because crime stats are masked by the city’s overall wealth. As a tourist or business traveler, you almost are never put into these areas. It would be like a foreign visitor to Buffalo finding their way to Goodyear Avenue. Also, I’m not sure where these Buffalo comparisons come from. Buffalo has tons of panhandlers and street hustlers. You can’t pump gas at night anywhere in the city without somebody walking up on you. I could write a book about the number of different stories I’ve heard about why people need $2.
  6. Your original post was completely ignorant and sexist. You’re free to believe what you want but your viewpoint is disgustingly outdated and stupid. I don’t care if any of the other dinosaurs on here disagree.
  7. I’d imagine he’ll be cut and a different PS QB brought in. TJ just isn’t good enough...
  8. The average listener doesn’t care about the Atlanta Falcons, etc. Start talking about Julio Jones fantasy implications and they do. You may not care for fantasy football but its appeal goes far beyond a “child’s game.” I’m just not sure Mike Schopp and Jeremy White are who I’d turn to for fantasy advice, though. Guys can barely discuss data-driven stats for their own team let alone the league.
  9. It’s been the only option since day one. I had a moderately high-ranking politician tell me that five years ago. Things can change but I think anybody who completely denies that possibility is ignoring a lot of arrows pointing that way.
  10. It’s not like the Vikings are going to play anyone who won’t be working at Target next month, either. Besides fringe guys on the bubble, nobody in this game will be NFL relevant.
  11. There’s a reason that respected analysts don’t use TD’s to measure players. TD’s aren’t a great indicator of a WR’s actual contributions to the passing game. So Zay caught 7 TD’s last year. If Beasley, Brown, or Duke was in the lineup instead, those TD’s are probably still there just spread out between different pass catchers. Zay’s contributions to the passing game are slightly above replacement level, all things considered, in my opinion.
  12. Absolutely. McD will never come out and say it but Zay is on the bubble for the last WR spot. There’s no other reason he’s still playing in the fourth.
  13. I forgot that John Brown was on the team.
  14. Its because one isn’t going to be on the team and the other won’t be a significant contributor barring injury this year. Starters play the first half. Life rules of an old school coach.
  15. You can make some pretty good assumptive predictions from that...
  16. It’s preseason, the play itself means nothing either way. The decision is concerning, though.
  17. You guys are spending a Friday night complaining on the internet about Mike Schopp. Let that sink in.
  18. Correlation does not equal causation. Get out of here with that fifth grade logic.
  19. I was simply responding to the morality of it, which was raised in the thread, and I think is indirectly relevant. Unless Chung had distribution levels, nobody is going to come down hard on a recreational amount of coke. It’s prevalent and accepted enough for a slap on the wrist, even more so for a star athlete with the resources to fight it.
  20. I wouldn’t even say “baller” circles. Coke is huge in most nightlife and party scenes. I realize this is probably a pretty conservative leaning forum but coke is rather commonplace and not a big deal at all. If somebody doesn’t think it’s equally prevalent among young and rich star athletes who enjoy the nightlife, I don’t know what to tell you.
  21. Give me a break. Aren’t there some kids you should be yelling at to get off your lawn or something?
  22. Five teams I’d make unlimited bets on finishing better than the Bills: Patriots Steelers Browns Chiefs Rams The Bills are somewhere in the next group: Jets Tennessee Colts (dependent on Luck) Chargers Eagles Packers Vikings Bears Saints Falcons ....so, top half of the league? There’s no shame in that, they’re trending in the right direction but the offensive skill positions aren’t there yet.
  23. The issue is that it’s a slippery slope. You can find PI on every single play if you’re looking hard enough. What’s next, holding? Another penalty that you can find somewhere on the field every single play if you’re looking hard enough. If we start looking for these types of penalties, well, you could find them on almost every single play if you’re looking going by black and white rules in slo-mo. It’ll be like the NHL’s ridiculous offside challenge only with a much higher rate of frequency.
  24. I like Schopp. He can be a condescending prick at times but I find him alright. The worst part of their show is the callers. They take the absolute worst bottom of the barrel takes to react to. The real problem with WGR is whoever is the program director. We’re a small city with two professional teams. They’re doing a terrible job of keeping shows fresh. And I should never hear a food draft. Talk about UB, other things happening in the NFL/NHL, hell, talk about MLB/NBA/MLS or get somebody like Matthew Berry to talk fantasy before you spend an hour drafting foods or states or talking about your fantasy drafts. It’s just the same takes about the same topics with the same calls every single day. Whoever sits down with these guys when they map out their planning is doing a piss poor job.
