  1. 1) Yes, I do. And it’s shown in the playcalling and flexibility that other QB’s are given to call their own plays on the field. Brady, Roelisberger, Rodgers, etc., Nobody is telling those guys not to take chances for fear of throwing an INT. Nobody wants to throw a pick but nobody is telling those QB’s to reel it in and play conservative. On the other hand, you ever watch a Jags game? Bortles doesn’t get the same leeway to call his own shots. You rarely see deep shots. Marrone, Hackett, and Bortles are on another level of conservative than other NFL coaching staffs (which are usually pretty conservative). 2. Bortles is barely a starting NFL QB. The rumors were flying before last season about his short leash. Even though the team was decent, Bortles was mediocre. I would not be shocked to see Bortles go down the path of journeyman soon...
  2. Apparently I think the Bills are going 6-10. Tennessee, Indy, Jacksonville, NYJ, Miami x2 Thats kind of depressing.
  3. I think this is a 3-13 to 6-10 type team. Peterman is not a serviceable NFL starting QB and will struggle against teams gameplanning for him. If/when Allen sees the field, it’s going to be the trials and tribulations of a rookie QB with a learning curve. Either way, QB play is going to be rough this season. The line is a major concern and I don’t think teams are going to respect the deep ball if Peterman starts (or really, I don’t think they’ll respect the deep ball with any QB until this WR core shows otherwise) so we’ll see a lot of stacked boxes against McCoy. Defense across the board worries me. Pass rush, secondary. I think there’s some serious overall regression coming from a unit that already had a weakness in the middle. Tre’davious is great, though. I have no worries about him. It’s a transition year for the Bills. I honestly don’t think McBeane expected to make the playoffs last season and that raised expectations. They’ve always had a plan and a timeline to get their system and their guys in place and this is the second year of that. We’re a year away from truly seeing what this team is supposed to be but after last season’s playoff tease, it’s going to sting a little.
  4. It’s hard to take someone serious when they can’t even be bothered to know the names of the people they’re talking about
  5. Hedging your bets that Peterman can hold down the reigns until Allen is ready is a risky bet. Historical odds are stacked against Peterman playing at any kind of consistent NFL level. And throwing Allen into an offense with problems all over the field worries me. I’d liked to have seen Allen stay on the bench until next year but I think he’s going to be seeing the field sooner than later in a season I’m not terribly optimistic about.
