  1. Blimey. From the way he went off the pitch I never expected to see him again this season. Good news.
  2. Anybody had the chance to go back and look to see what the Browns did to beat them so convincingly? The box score shows they got in front early (7-0, 10-7, 24-10 were the scores after first 3 quarters). Jackson went 24/34 for 247yds 3/2 TD/INT. He ran for another 66 at 7.3 a pop. Ingram went 71 yards at 5.9 per attempt. The TEs caught a total of 7 balls for 79. Cleveland had a 99 yard, 8:31 minute drive resulting in a TD in the 1st quarter. Total time of possession couldn't have been much closer - 30:17 to 29:43 in the Browns favour. By quarter: First - 9:59 to 5:01 Browns Second - 7:52 to 7:08 Browns Third - 6:52 to 8:08 Ravens Fourth - 5:34 to 9:26 Ravens I think the above pretty much backs up what you guys have been suggesting so far.
  3. I remember my first go on the internet.
  4. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Have a great night. 9-3.
  5. Mitch Falsbisky
  6. They were in their way to meet Gloria Stits.
  7. Where in Belgium my friend? We did a soccer tour or two to Beveren near Antwerpen in our teens. Lovely country. In your honour I shall be having mayonnaise on my fries (chips) this evening. Enjoy the game.
  8. Saturday for me. It’s my 40th birthday and I’m hitting the town with my brothers and friends I grew up with. Our local boozer was a Sam Smith’s so we’ll hit a couple of his on our way around the city. Enjoy your day and night.
  9. First up, Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. I hope you have a great day. It’s been gameday a while here in the UK and I must admit I woke up a tad early and excited in anticipation of tonight’s professional football contest (a little nod to Coming to America there). I have the same feeling about this game as I did the Browns. We’re lining up against a more offensively talented team who, should they play to what they’re capable of, beat us. However, we have the D to stop them doing that. I think we’ll run the ball A LOT. Maybe even more Gore than Singletary to start with. McDermott will be happy to keep this one as close as possible heading to the 4th. I wouldn’t be too concerned heading into the final quarter 3 down. Finally, I won my fantasy match up versus my Cowboy supporting mate by 6 last week. Omen. Book it. Toodle pip for now.
  10. No mercy rule. Because, come the glorious day when we're proper giving it to New England I won't want it to stop.
  11. 0. Being 8-3 in the last week of November with a tough run of games to come is mint. I can think of way more concerning scenarios than this. Enjoy.
  12. Is it just me it is the offensive line getting better each game? I thought they were good last week versus Miami but that was a low yard stick. Today they were even better against a strong defensive front. Especially pleasing with Morse missing a lot of the game. It’s no wonder Allen is looking more comfortable with his game.
  13. Belichick is determined to win a ring without Brady. I’d be very surprised if they bow out together.
  14. Did or do you still have a nickname? Growing up in the late 80's/90's we went through a phase of calling each other by our mother's forename. My mum is called Lesley and my nickname of Les has stuck with me for over 25 years now. You can always tell which set of friends knew me from growing up as they call me Les where as people I've met and become friends with through soccer/work/ etc all call me by my actual given name.
  15. Obviously a bit of a stretch for me to get there but the game on Thanksgiving night is a perfect way for me to start my 40th birthday celebrations. We'll set up some wings, hot dogs and various other finger foods on the table whilst the game is on. I'll let my son stay up late to watch all the game. My friend who I go to the London games with is a Cowboys fan so I might let him pop over too.
  16. No worries. I only became a Smiths admirer after the fact. They were at their peak just before I became an age to get really interested in music. I got to The Smiths via later bands like The Stone Roses, The Charlatans and Oasis. All bands from the Manchester area who were influenced by The Smiths. Noel Gallagher idolises Johnny Marr.
  17. His recent political allegiances have caused some hysterical uproar. Almost beautifully done.
  18. I would have loved to have seen a photo of him in those shorts.
  19. Let's not pretend The Smiths were just Morrissey. Johnny Marr was a more talented musician.
