Thanks Gugny. It was amazing meeting you all too. I'm sorry we didn't make it back after the game but Jacob was shattered. But that was a sign of us both having the time of our lives despite the result. The atmosphere inside the stadium was everything I hoped it would be. We'll do all we can to return one day. Enjoy your bye Sunday!

We did but it was closed to the public. Quite a few people were trying to get in but were being turned away by the staff. We had a slow walk down The Billevard. Jacob got his face painted with the Bills logo. The store got another visit and my cash balance quickly dwindled. Jacob has worn his Allen jersey at every opportunity since we got home. He has a new hero and was so gutted when he had to go off with the head injury. We had a good walk around the stadium seeing other folk tailgating and got settled in watching the NFL Gameday Morning stage where Kyle Williams and Willie McGinnest were on. We nearly got a photo autograph from Kyle but he was called away at the last second. He had a wedding to go to!

Will achieving this be a bigger surprise for you or the other participant? Have you been before? It's a lovely City. I Hope the weather holds up and Tivoli is open.

We had a fantastic time and with no problems at all. We met a few of the TBD guys (including @plenzmd1) at Hammers for a catch up before the game. I wouldn't hesitate in taking a child to tailgate where they were set up. In the stadium itself we got tickets in the one of the no alcohol section on level two. There were children in there much younger than my son. The atmosphere was terrific and we never, ever felt uncomfortable in anyway. I'm sure you'll all have a great time @Dirtyd415

So we're on Bills bye week. Getting the season off to a good start means this year's bye is a bit of a low. What are your plans for Sunday? Will you pick another game to watch (in the stadium or on TV). Redzone it out? Or do you have the opinion of no Bills, no party? We timed it this year so we're going to Panthers v Bucs at Tottenham on Sunday. We'll be back in central London to watch one of the 6pm (1pm your time) kick offs in a bar somewhere. Have a few beers and food. Looking forward to going to the game in London in my Bills cap lording it up a bit this time!

RG tapping center to start play? (Timing of snap)
BritBill replied to timekills17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought the center getting a tap was related to the play clock. The Guard is in more advantageous head position to see the clock. Gives the center a tap on 5 seconds left. -

Tickets on your phone? Beware

I don't suppose anybody knows how to get tickets held on the StubHub app into the Apple Wallet? Just spent a good half hour trying to do it to no avail. Thanks. -
Good news. His injury might just have been cramp if so. I remember the first time I got cramp in my hamstring. It was horrendous. Getting out of the car after a playing a soccer game, bang! It felt like something was in the back of my leg trying to get out through my hammy. Like the scene in Alien where the beast leaves John Hurt's chest. I used to get cramp in the calfs a lot but the feeling was nothing compared to the pain of hammy cramp.

Do you get along with your parents?
BritBill replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My Dad is a legend. A quiet private man who doesn’t show emotion very often but his actions are always loud. Always there for all 4 of his kids. It’s always great to catch up with him every couple of weeks and grab a soccer game together. He’s battled cancer twice but to look at him you wouldn’t think so. When I became a father I had a perfect model to learn from. My mother is a bit more obvious with her affection. We text almost every day even though I’m nearly 40. I get to see her every couple of weeks or so. She’s 60 next year and has also won a cancer fight. So proud of her. -
A very good point. Although I am making the effort to get over for the Patriots game in week 4 ?

Off the top of my head, overall I'd only take Barkley, Engram, Zeitler, Hernandez and at a push Tate from their offense over the Bills O starters. Too homer?
-
I don't want to be a homer to match this chap but I'm struggling to think of one of their defensive players who would replace a Bills starter.
-
I know a chap who has done this with our soccer team every game this season. Has backed the opposition every game. We haven't lost yet. It works.

My son went to bed at 16-0. I woke him up to tell him we'd won and he gave me a big high five. Magic.

Mutiny in Miami after Blow out Loss
BritBill replied to Golden Goat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After that yesterday there are going to have to hit on very single pick just to be competitive. -
He is. In a class 2 handicap again. Hence the 16/1 odds. Just like Shady the footballer he has his own unique running style. A very high head carry. Always takes an age to get into a race then stays on near the end. This is why he gets burned by the younger horses in the class 2 races.
-
Yes, last won nearly two year ago at my local track. The horses connections keep running it in class 2 races. At 9 years old it isn't going to win one of them now. They're are very competitive handicaps. Time to give up on both horses I think!
