  1. I had this feeling once the draft was over this team would be different. Maybe not in terms of amazing individual talent but playing and acting in a way which would win games and also give everything they had to a fanbase so deserving of a special team. I didn't think we'd be sitting here at 10-4 before Christmas. I didn't think we'd be going into Foxborough in week 16 thinking, no, expecting a win. It might might not happen but there's a belief there now. And while I'm sure you guys having an attachment to the city of Buffalo and WNY itself feel it stronger, I've not felt so strongly about a Bills team than I ever have before. I knew in April this team had something, some kind of spirit. I'm so glad I made the effort to get over for a game in September and witness it for the first time. For the first time ever we're getting respect here in the UK NFL media. It did have to be earned. This is just the start.
  2. Not sure yet! The pub we’re playing poker in is a Sports bar. Think it’s a treehouse so not tied to a particular brewery. I’ll have to see what’s available. The good news is the pub over the road to it is our old local Sam’s and has just reopened after refurbishment. I’ll call in there before poker to see who’s about and grab a Sam’s lager.
  3. Our Aussie friend covered it. We have the option of buying subscribing various Sky packages for a monthly fee - movies, sports, entertainment, kids etc. There are currently 9 sports channel available to purchase. Sky show live NFL on Sky Sports Action. They show TNF, SNF, MNF then also pick a game each from the 1pm (ET) and 4/4.25pm (ET). They also show any games played at special times like Thanksgiving and this Saturday. The Bills have been shown on Sky a fair few times the last week plus the first Patriots game earlier in the season was selected. Games did used to be shown on free to air channels back in the 80s and 90s. That’s when I got into the sport and came to the Bills as my team.
  4. It's live on Sky Sports here in the UK at 9:30pm. What a perfect time. Our annual poker night as well which starts at 5:30pm. Poker, beer and a Bills win. Life. Love it.
  5. 1. I Believe in Father Christmas - Greg lake 2. Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End) - The Darkness 3. Lonely This Christmas - Mudd The only three you need this and every festive season.
  6. Did anyone else just get a notification from the official NFL app saying McDermott had been chosen as the coach of the year? I went into the app but there wasn’t any article.
  7. Lovely jubbly. Sleep time. You guys enjoy your night. Let’s f*****g go!
  8. Josh and Bease doing that is the only way the Steelers will beat us.
  9. Nightmare this. I’ve already been awake 6 hours and kick off isn’t for another 12. I’m aiming to get some sleep around 10pm, set the alarm for 1:20am then back to bed for a couple of hours before work when we’ve made the play offs. Enjoy your long day, all.
  10. They do it on a Friday as on a Saturday all the soccer boys are out and they get run ragged. Plus they have to be home by 11pm or mummy and daddy get worried. Here’s one for you. There is only one underground station left which uses the original “mind the gap” voice recording. I can’t remember which station it is. All the other stations use a modern computer generated voice. The gentleman who made the original voice recording has since died. However, his wife remains with us and she goes to the station on a regular basis just to hear her husband’s voice.
  11. The anti-Jewish stuff didn't really bother me. However, I know Corbyn's son got a kicking here in my hometown outside a pro-Palestine music festival. Hip Hop for Hammas or something. One of the most bizarre things to ever happen here. Anyway, it turned out he got filled in because he's a knobhead.
  12. Throw in some gold and the colours would be like my dreams.
  13. It's not hard. I know red is at the top, amber middle and green at the bottom. Plus, the red and green are a very distinctive shade.
  14. I'm glad it's all over TBH.
  15. I've been to Orchard Park once. I've also been to Poland to watch England play soccer. You guys have nothing to worry over.
  16. "Hellooo, pretty lady. Maybe I can help with the whole Pam/Pan thing?"
  17. He's getting nominated that often I'm half expecting to see his name on the ballot paper when I go and vote in the election later.
  18. I am too. It was impossible to watch.
  19. I can’t say I hate him but I wouldn’t pi$$ on Jarvis Landry if he was in fire.
  20. I’m struggling with the term layaway. Not one we use over here. What does it mean please?
  21. Blimey. From the way he went off the pitch I never expected to see him again this season. Good news.
  22. Anybody had the chance to go back and look to see what the Browns did to beat them so convincingly? The box score shows they got in front early (7-0, 10-7, 24-10 were the scores after first 3 quarters). Jackson went 24/34 for 247yds 3/2 TD/INT. He ran for another 66 at 7.3 a pop. Ingram went 71 yards at 5.9 per attempt. The TEs caught a total of 7 balls for 79. Cleveland had a 99 yard, 8:31 minute drive resulting in a TD in the 1st quarter. Total time of possession couldn't have been much closer - 30:17 to 29:43 in the Browns favour. By quarter: First - 9:59 to 5:01 Browns Second - 7:52 to 7:08 Browns Third - 6:52 to 8:08 Ravens Fourth - 5:34 to 9:26 Ravens I think the above pretty much backs up what you guys have been suggesting so far.
