Defense: let’s grade and comment your grade
HamptonBillsfan replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kill Edmunds every game is your mantra. 12 tackles, 6 unassisted and plenty of stunt pressures, making Jones uncomfortable. What are you watching? The guy runs down backs and you say he didn't make any plays. Hopefully the next guy they bring in will make some big plays. Edmunds plays every down and is always available. -

Frazier went coverage instead of sending blitzes. We couldn't get any real pressure that way against a stout NE O-line. I think that approach will change against teams like Cinn, Tenn, KC. -

The defense is still a bit spotty. Overrunning the blocking schemes hurts us with long runs every game. The good news is that we play hard and on NE 2nd long drive we made them take 8+ minutes off the clock. We were also opportunistic with the Hyde interception and ensuing 2 drives. I thought Edmunds was really good. He was very physical and flying around running down balk carriers like few inside LBS could. Overall, if we play that type of defense, we'll win most games because our offense will put up 30. -
This should be a rude awakening for the Bills detractors, with respect to the Patriots. It's abundantly clear that the conditions took the Bills advantage away last game in Buffalo. With normal Dec/Jan conditions and the O-line playing like today, the Bills will impose their will on NE anytime they play.

Glory days with Tommy B dominating Buffalo are distant memories. -
NBC Boston: Bills are done, Pats make them lick dog *****

This is the most repugnant media and fanbase in football. Maybe they can ponder their future with Mac Jones playing from behind. He's at most a good game manager. When he has to throw to catch up, it's curtains. -
This was our best performance by offensive line

Maybe this game righted the ship and we can march into the playoffs with conviction and momentum. Believe it, no team wants to face playing like this. -

You could be right. I was thinking the same thing as they marched up and down the field all day long. -
Allen should be first team pro bowler period!

It doesn't matter, this guy will be best for many years. The league will understand who he is. -
Too bad, Ike was starting to play well. Bates showed up thankfully.

Unbelievable performance in a huge game. Didn't see that coming. -
McKenzie needed to have a game like this. He was a gadget guy and return man. Don't blame Sean if he inexplicably fumbled the kickoff against Indy and gave the indication he might be a fumbler. Now he showed resiliency and big time talent as a inside receiver. Let's see how Dabol uses him going forward. It's not as if we have a need at receiver. We have the best receiving corp in the AFC.

Who has the bigger impact: McKenzie or Kumerow?
HamptonBillsfan replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aaron Rodgers loves Kumerow and he has played in big games and produced. I think he will have opportunities and be big for us. -
Showdown with Pats is a judgment day for Sean McDermott, Bills
HamptonBillsfan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Their jobs are safe, but it creates doubt where there was high expectations after their breakout season. They were a few good plays away from a better record(Tenn,Tampa and NE),but at some point losing all the close ones puts a cloud over the team. -
Showdown with Pats is a judgment day for Sean McDermott, Bills
HamptonBillsfan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is judgement day for the Bills organization. The ability to beat a good divisional opponent with the division on the line will shed light on our coaching staff and Beane's personnel decisions. I want to see physicality, discipline and a sense of urgency from these underachieving Bills. We are better than this team. Make this our line in the sand game. -
Dion Dawkins activated from Covid list
HamptonBillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now Dion, justify that Pro Bowl selection and shut down Judon+Co. If this gives Josh time in the pocket, it's pretty meaningful and the image of O-lineman playing out of position, especially after the Brown performance, is quite terrifying in the biggest game of the year. Bills 27 -17. -
It's like we're going by the seat of our pants and reacting instead of being proactive. Why is it so hard to get tests? We knew this strain was super transmittable
-
What are you an epidemiologist?. You have an opinion, that's all. Plenty of vaccinated players will miss games. Don't conflate people who have different views from your own with a lack of team loyalty. Are you questioning his effort on the field where he takes viscous hits and keeps coming. Russian troll farms? The majority of professional athletes are on Twitter. It's not personal, ok.
-
They need negative tests before practicing or playing. Why do you think all these games are rescheduled and the player's still aren't playing. You have a problem with Cole personally, get over it.
-
You can use social media but he can't? If he's not breaking team rules, he's fine.
-
Are you serious? 50 players tested positive for Covid Monday, most have been vaccinated. Games are being played with 3rd string QBs and 11 starters unavailable. Did you see the Browns play without their 1st and 2nd string QBs. NE has their top 3 receivers on Covid protocols. This is a problem league wide with protocols that are unworkable and will result in the competitive nature of the season being compromised. You're pointing your finger at 1 guy. More Bills will get Covid and it will be a war of attrition.
-
How so?. The team supports him, he plays hurt, and 76 grabs for 640 as a slot receiver is good production.
-
All well and good, but the poster indicated he was OK with McKenzie replacing Cole going forward because he wasn't having a good year.
-
Just so you know, Cole has 76 receptions for 640 yds with 33 1st downs. He's played hurt most of the games and is a leader on the team. McKenzie has 7 catches and a devastating unforced fumble against Indy, that turned the game on its head. This guy takes a lot of abuse from fans for his incredible production.
-
Why are you questioning Beasley's value to this team.He gets open all the time, he never drops anything and he's as good as any slot receiver in football. Ask Josh, who is the guy he trusts most. Diggs and Cole. Knox is coming on but he's got to do a lot more in big spots to compare his value to Cole. Don't use his Vax status against him, and please don't compare him to McKenzie. That destroys credibility.
