  1. A good QB with decent protection can let his wrs get open. While it might be the toughtest to fix, we've seen good QBs make mediocre wrs work forever. Get the protection fixed, get the running game going, and we can scheme to get wrs open. But when you don't have 2.5 seconds for a route to develop because you're getting sacked, it doesn't really matter who's open and who isn't.
  2. You may be right, we'll see after the Chargers/Vikings/Packers games....wait, maybe we'll revisit this after the Tex-er Colt...maybe after tha-CRAP Patriots....Bears/Jets/Jaguars...... Not getting blown out might be the fluke game this year.
  3. Not all that well disguised, terrible Oline, bad defense, no wrs.
  4. maybe that's why he was traded. Josh Allen couldn't concentrate
  5. They probably should have figured that out before trading our only other viable option until the line is fixed. If they start Allen so be it but it's just another brick in a wall of failed QBs through poor development. We did the exact opposite of what the Jets did this preseason. And we're going to start our young QB with very little seat time as the 1? That's a failure from teh top down.
  6. I don't see how the light will come on by being sacked 7 times a game. His oline in Wyoming was better.
  7. That's probably true, but the oline is not. If we have to make a sacrifice, it should be Peterman. No way they should have traded McCarron. None whatsoever.
  8. Beane brought in Newhouse, but Vlad was Castillo's boy from Baltimore, and watching yesterday it was pretty obvious Baltimore's oline missed them both.
  9. I think it's the right decision TBH. Allen isn't ready.
  10. Everyone knew going in this was going to be a rebuilding year, we lost a lot on the oline and we didn't have any WRs. now getting blown out consistently is not even remotely acceptable, but we need to see what Beane does with an offseason with 65 mil in cap space and 10 draft picks. We knew we had holes going in, but i never expected to get beat as bad as we did.
  11. I would trade right out of that pick and get 2 Olinemen and a WR in the 1st 2 rounds.
  12. As long as they're not huge money deals. That last thing we need to do is go from being in good shape cap wise to crap with overpriced FAs.
  13. I don't see many names on that list that are going to significantly improve us. Getting older doesn't always mean getting better. Invest a couple decent draft picks in the oline. We have 10 picks, do we need 10 rookies? Not really no. So trade some picks, move up and get guys in the 2nd and 3rd rounds that can help this team.
  14. It regressed last year with Incognito and Wood. We didn't lose any players from the #1 rushing attack in football and we got worse, so he's definitely a big part of the problem. Miller was doing fine until he got here, brought Vlad in, and mucked everything up. need more evidence, look at how much BETTER Baltimore's oline is without him!
  15. I think it starts with firing Castillo. No sense buying new ingredients if your chef can't cook.
  16. Their offense may be good, but no way our offense was supposed to be that bad or get blown out the way we did. Now I do think that their oline got better once a certain OL coach was replaced.........*cough* *cough*
  17. He can fill a legal pad with just notes on the 1st half's mistakes on offense.
  18. Did not swear much yesterday. Just sat back and watched the chit show.
  19. It will never be time for Kaepernick. Ever.
  20. Or your Wrs a threat to catch the ball.
  21. LOL don't be right! I won't be able to take that roller coaster of bad again.
  22. I feel like this is very true on many levels, what we don't know is if Beane is Marv or not. What will he do in 2019 with all those draft picks and salary cap dollars? Will he waste it on Dockery and Langston Walker? then draft a RB? Or will he make smart decisions and get good linemen without paying them stupid money? And invest draft picks in the right positions.
  23. Same thing Jauron used to spout after a loss. He never said anything other than "look at the tape". Always with the excuses, guys come in here with the same formulas we've seen 1000 times before. And they wonder why we lose faith so fast. I'm ok with us being beat by Baltimore, they were a better team all around. And I didn't think we were a contender this year. But the way we lost this game, the complete and utter humiliation of that blowout is unacceptable. Losing 20-13 ok I get it. 40-3=we have no idea what we're doing.
  24. Where did you read that mularkey? This is Beane's doing not the Pegulas, he made the decisions to trade Watkins/Dareus, any high dollar player we had except McCoy. I don't disagree with everything Beane has done, but the decision to use band aids like Bodine and Newhouse are unacceptable, you can''t field a competitive team with this oline.
