How many here work on their car?
Soda Popinski replied to RochesterRob's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The oil change place I used to go to used a smaller filter which was cheaper. Over the life of the truck that is a significant difference in oil pressure. I always change my own, i use synthetic mobil 1 normall, but Castrol synthetic was on sale last time. Synthetic oil change was over $100.00 doing it myself is just the cost of materials usually half that. I won't do any major mechanical repairs anymore like brakes I will let the pros do that, but little service stuff i'm more than capable of saving that money. -
Bringing in Daboll IMO was a great move, he's worked with young QBs and I believe he knows enough about developing talent. He is the guy I would lean on to develop Allen more than McDermott.

My thought process is Wentz started his rookie year, went 7-9 with a 79 passer rating and threw something like 18TDs to 14 interceptions. He was learning on the job and the following year he was playing like an MVP quarterback. You could see year 1 that he was progressing, but was making the rookie mistakes, that really accelerated his learning curve IMO. Problem is do people in WNY have the patience for a 7-9 season while Allen learns on the job?

They can't have that route as an option for him, he was almost picked off in every game he played in on that route. Partially because of his arm, but also because he was late on that throw every time. That ball has to be in the air when the WR is making his cut and when his head gets around it should be about 15 yards from him. When Peterman threw that ball the WR was already coming back and had his head around, giving the DB time to close on the route and almost intercept the ball. In every one of those throws the WR became the defender. McCarron did the same thing last night and it went for 6

Millennials: A woman's criteria for dating men.
Soda Popinski replied to unbillievable's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This kind of stuff makes me thank god I'm married. My brother is single and he chases superficial women and then wonders why he always ends up disappointed. If a woman has any specific criteria for men other than actually being physically attracted to them at first and then developing a friendship then a relationship from there just run. You should not have to clear hurdles or meet "criteria" to date someone. -
If he's ready play him. Put it on the Oline to give him protection. Give him quick 3 step drops and quick read options with no more than 2 progressions. Peterman won't get any more pass protection than Allen will. So just start the QB who gives us the best chance to win. I think that is Peterman right now, but if it's Allen I will defer to the staff knowing better than I do.

So who is your surprise cut(s)
Soda Popinski replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hughes I don't see, McDermott likes his vets and Hughes is still a productive pass rusher. Miller I could see if they had a replacement lined up. -

If I recall correctly we still had Mario Williams at that time, and we had just signed Hughes to an extension either that year or the year before. we led the NFL in sacks. At the time, pass rush was very much not a need at all. But Whaley was looking for a WR to pair with his QB EJ. Hindsight is always 20/20 if you look at things based off this teams needs, not what this team needed 4-5 ears ago.

social media sets the expectation. Every woman thinks she's an Instagram model and everyone should kiss her feet. Every girl is tinker bell now. Don't give them enough attention and they die. -

Jalen Ramsey: Gronk is overrated
Soda Popinski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he must have last year the Pats went to the SB. But I don't know why anyone would throw at Ramsey. I'd pick on the other teams weakness not it's strength. Belichick and Brady are matchup guys. If Ramsey is on Gronk I'd throw to the slot guy or the RB he's the one who will be open. One thing I believe is true about Brady is he doesn't get into the EGO battles with CBs. He's there to win, not to beat one guy with a mouth. -

No he can back up his talk. For all his bluster I wouldn't throw a football in Ramsey's direction -

He must have watched Tre White work Gronk over for an entire game. Honestly that was fantastic. Right up to the point where he went full meathead on our guy. -

Saints trade 3rd round pick for Teddy Bridgewater
Soda Popinski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He'll be ready for 2019 figure this is Brees's last year he's made his money he's got his ring, and i'm sure some passing records. Peyton will now have a 25yr old QB who is ready to step right in and New Orleans won't skip a beat at QB. -
HBO's Limited Series "Sharp Objects"

I didn't care for all the eluded to backstories that were never expounded upon. They kept flashing back to cheerleader days, or flashing back to running to this little cabin in the woods, and what was the significance of that? Nothing apparently. Flash to looking at the ceiling in that room, was there significance to that? nope. Why did she take off her shoes to go into that one tiled bedroom? Why was she pretty much busted broke when momma was loaded? As the story went along she drank less and less, did she get over her alcoholism? They never touched on it at the end there which I'm supposing was a 6 month montage. Did sweater dad go to jail? Did crying boy get completely exonerated? What about his girlfriend? With the bitten off ear? Seems like nothing really mattered in the end.
