  1. Literally the most overrated player in all sports. I hate Josh Allen. He doesn’t deserve to be the NVP let alone the MVP. I’m going to put him down at every chance I get because I have absolutely unrealistic expectations!!!!!! Did I do it right?
  2. Regular season he’s 48-32. Good for a .600 winning percentage. I’m pretty sure I saw someone say there’s only like 3 active coaches at or above that mark. If anyone has the tweet, please share.
  3. I’ll lower the bar and just do playoff appearances… Gurley had 2 in his first 5 seasons. Ingram had 2 in his first 5 seasons. Elliot had 2 in his first 5 seasons. McCaffrey has 1 in his first 5 seasons. Fournette will have 3 in his first 5 seasons.
  4. You’ve listed 5 top 10 picks and then Ingram who was the Heisman winner. There’s not a RB talent like that in the draft… you can’t just take a 1st round guy and assume he’s going to be that caliber of talent because he was selected RD1. Why not list Chubb, Taylor, Cook, Henry, Mixon and say we need THAT GUY now to help Josh Allen? The value is horrible taking a RB in RD1.
  5. Again, you’re just making the point for not taking a 1st round RB. A guy you’re taking in the 1st round shouldn’t be someone you think you’re going to have to replace in 5 years. You’re looking for someone that’s a long term building block. A guy you sign to a second contract… most RB don’t make it there and if they do they seldom last. I’ll just list the last decade(ish) of 1st round RB… hardly murderers row and how many made it to another contract (and saw the end of that)? 2010: CJ Spiller, Ryan Mathews, Jahvid Best 2011: Mark Ingram 2012: Trent Richardson, Doug Martin, David Wilson 2015: Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon 2016: Ezekiel Elliot 2017: Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey 2018: Saquon Barkley, Rashaad Penny, Sony Michel 2019: Josh Jacobs 2020: Clyde Edwards-Helaire 2021: Najee Harris, Travis Etienne
  6. No. You don’t… not in RD1. When has this worked for a team in the last 10 years? The sweet spot is RD2 - RD3. Your point about running them into the ground is EXACTLY why you don’t spend a RD1 pick on a RB.
  7. I’m starting to do the arithmetic on the potential Head Coach openings and rumored names… we might not lose Frazier or Daboll… again.
  8. Kyler’s collegiate numbers came from 1 season where he dominated against Power 5 schools. He was a 5-star recruit that transferred and had to sit out 1 season. Then sat behind heisman winner and #1 overall pick… before he did it himself Josh’s collegiate numbers were across 2 seasons where he struggled against some of the bigger schools he played and took a step back after returning to school in 2017. What exactly are you trying to show?
  9. Some of my favorite guys for 2022… Trevor Penning OT, Northern Iowa Ahmad Gardner CB, Cincinnati Trent McDuffie CB, Washington Daniel Faalele OT, Minnesota Kyler Gordon CB, Washington Alec Pierce WR, Cincinnati Velus Jones Jr. WR, Tennessee Clint Ratkovich H-Back, NIU
  10. The whole timeline of where they were as a franchise and roster building really is escaping you, huh?
  11. Bills win + Ravens loss. Bills win + Chargers loss + Raiders loss. These are just two of the scenarios to clinch a spot this week.
  12. Well why don’t you break down exactly why Josh COULD be “fast-tracked” or whatever? You just said the offense was bad around him… well there’s a reason he couldn’t be 2020 Josh Allen right there out of the box and you admitted it. They’re not excuses? You asked for REASONS why Murray could be fast-tracked and Allen could not. You seem to live in a very strange world.
  13. Playing time definitely factors in to this discussion… but raw doesn’t just have to do with playing time. Level of competition in college, level of coaching, level of coaching HS, outside QB camps, etc. Kyler was a 5-star recruit that was exposed to high level football and coaching much earlier than Josh. There was a lot that Josh still had to figure out when he got to the NFL. Kyler will also likely have to throw for ~30 TDs for the first time in his career to reach that mark.
  14. Don’t take a RB in the first round.
  15. Oddly enough, I believe this interview process right now is new and supposed to alleviate those issues. Ironically the Bills proposed this past offseason that interviews should begin after the conference championships and hiring should take place after the Super Bowl. The rest of the teams didn’t go for it because they felt it would set them back for free agency/draft planning.
  16. Falcons could be down their CB2, starting slot and starting FS on Sunday.
  17. Most of the conversation I’ve seen here is about how Josh should at least be in the discussion. Some people are throwing him out entirely Rodgers should win with Josh as the runner up again. Issue is it doesn’t seem like he’s even getting that recognition.
  18. As well as division rival players (See Wilkins, Christian)
  19. Tajae Sharpe has also been a starter for them this year
  20. I want him in Buffalo so bad. I’ve wanted him in Buffalo since before he signed with Chicago and then with Atlanta. RB, WR, KR, PR and a gunner. You’d condense Matt Breida, Emmanuel Sanders, Jake Kumerow, Marquez Stevenson, Taiwan Jones in to one player. Now you have 3 real RB active each week and 6 real WR. I think the flexibly to play RB but also split out and play WR would be an absolute nightmare in this offense. We’d have so much flexibility to run 5 WR sets with the ability to threaten run with him. At his age he probably gets $6-$7M a year for 2-3 years. The roster flexibility he would provide would be absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I could see a bad team offering close to $10M/year and he’d be wasted. Singletary/Moss/Patterson Diggs Davis Beasley Patterson McKenzie? Stevenson/Draft Pick?
  21. I actually sent him a book with a note a few years back when the article came out about him being a big reader. He wrote me back as well. I was impressed by that.
  22. Okay… so you’re just going off a few instances in your head that you’ve singled out because you dislike McDermott’s coaching style. But when you look at the entire portfolio… it’s just not the case… https://edjsports.com/posts/bf60603b-8b6b-4ec9-a673-4e749689e702
  23. That doesn’t mean stats lie. It just means people don’t understand them or understand how to use them.
  24. My thoughts exactly. You’ve got Mac Jones, selected 15th overall in New England with a supporting cast designed to support him. Not to mention the greatest coach of all-time. You’ve got Davis Mills, selected in the 4th by Houston with a supporting cast made up of? Meanwhile the head coach is a WR coach turned QB coach turned HC.
  25. According to Dolphins fans… this Dolphins team is like the early 2000s Patriots. Tua is elite and just needs an offensive line. The Saints defense is better than Tennessee and New England.
