  1. Hahahaha this is so loaded 😂😂😂 5/6 of those guys were brought in during the off-season that Beane arrived (The other one is Hughes)… meaning McDermott brought them in less than 2 months before Beane arrived… to say there are 5 starters kicking around from the Pre-Beane era and use that as an argument for Beane not inheriting a bad roster is quite comical. They’re locked at the hip and operate under the same philosophy. The GM recommends and drafts players primarily based on the coaching staff’s scheme and philosophies Beane was going to be our GM from the moment McDermott was hired… do you really think that if Beane was hired in January we would have done anything significantly different from a personnel standpoint? This is a bizarre exercise. Name me a GM that’s found more than 2 stars/game changers since 2018? The list is short. Now tell me how many have found one at the most important position on the field. It’s not easy… it takes a lot of things to go right. It’s just as hard to find an abundance of quality starters/role players like he has. People need to recalibrate their expectations based off of reality… the reality is stars don’t grow on trees and drafting like Beane has makes him one of the best drafters in the league since taking over. Criticism is fine, as long as it’s based in reality. You need to compare him to his peers or else you’re just criticizing without understanding the full scope of the process.
  2. Any sort of objective measurement of draft success has the Bills near or at the top since Beane has arrived. The concept of draft success really goes over people’s heads around here.
  3. 31 points? I agree with you that they should have scored even more last night... but 31 is nothing to scoff at. The defense didn't do it's job.
  4. Thank you!!!🤝 🙏🙏🙏🙏
  5. I kind of love when we agree.
  6. It was really just that one big run… that’s all it ever takes with him. If he gets one it changes everything. The worst part is that one should have been called back. They were holding all game and it felt like nothing was called. The hold was akin to the one they called against Sanders on the Knox running TD. Very frustrating.
  7. We figured out KC last year in the regular season and didn’t execute well enough on offense. It happens. The moment in the AFCCG was too big… but we learned from it, added pieces that helped facilitate that game plan we had success with… and executed. Not all that different than what happened with the Ravens in 2019 before we adjusted in the 2020 playoffs. McDermott is very good at making adjustments from match up to match up defensively. He figures it out eventually. We’ve beaten Tennessee under McDermott. I think he’s 2-2 now? Obviously lost the last two… and last year was weird but it’s a loss. We very clearly don’t match up well at all… we’re built to beat the majority of NFL offenses that are pass heavy… our personnel doesn’t match up as well with Tennessee. Quite frankly when Henry is rolling that offense is basically unstoppable as long as Tannehill hits guys who are wide open off PA. That’s the best game the Titans have played all year. I think we know how to beat them, but once Henry gets going you see what happens. Everyone was overcommitting on defense… you could see it on every play. That’s not the level of discipline they usually play with… that’s why I’m not worried about it. They don’t play that way defensively all that often and now it gives them the opportunity to assess and address. I didn’t expect to sack Tannehill because I knew he’d get the ball out quick on purpose. I just wanted to contain Henry… the defense did their job early and gave the offense the opportunity to put them away… they didn’t right away and allowed Henry to remain a factor. We were just a hair late in making that happen.
  8. If 31 points on offense is mediocre I’m all for it. You’re talking about getting “no pressure on Tannehill” in your OP and now you’re talking about how we “didn’t sack Tannehill” which one is it? Pressure doesn’t have to be a sack. The defense played poorly last night… they’ve played at a high leve all year. They’ve mixed and matched defense strategies and had a lot of success doing different things to teams. They just stumped one of the most dominant teams over the last 3 years and held them to their worst performance outside of the Super Bowl.
  9. The A team just showed up last week? We didn’t get outplayed… we actually statistically dominated both games and made multiple mistakes (blocked punt or poor execution on 4th and 1) that ended up costing us. I’d rather it happen in October than in January. Tennessee played their best game of the year… that’s what it took to beat us.
  10. We beat a bunch of teams over .500 last year and the complaint was we don’t beat crappy teams by enough. We’re 1-2 against .500 teams and crushing crappy teams and now the issue is we’re not beating good teams enough. It took everything to go right for Tennessee to beat us. Same thing with Pittsburgh. We’ve played 6 games for heaven sake. You were talking about pressure and not sacks… two totally different things. Stop conflating them. Separate the two and discuss them properly. And of course we didn’t attack the KC CBs last night in any strategic manner… we played Tennessee.
  11. I took everything to break right for Pittsburgh and Tennessee to beat us. We brought our B game against both teams and it STILL took them getting 1-2 big breaks to beat us. The world is not ending.
  12. Lol. Wasting elite QB and WR talent with the #1 or #2 rated offense last year and they’re what #1 or #2 this year? Great point. And you’re right on this… we might have to replace them after they go on to get head coaching jobs!
  13. What were people saying last year when we beat a bunch of teams above .500? Pretty sure we had the best record against teams .500 or better? The same crap. The teams needed to tighten things up… they gave up some opportunities… they’re capable of beating good teams and have crushed bad teams. They did the same thing last year. They got over their boogeyman in the Chiefs and lost a heartbreaker on the road against a good team. The Titans needed everything to break right for them last night and it did. 76 TD run (that didn’t get called back for a hold), Circus Julio Jones catch (yeah I know it was PI), tipped pick. We gave them some opportunities and they took advantage. It happens. Also, you’re misdefining pressure… the Bills had one of the highest pressure rates and have been consistently pressuring opposing QBs all year… it’s just a matter of whether they get a sack or not. You’re conflating the word sack and pressure. And don’t you think getting the ball out quick, an active AJ Brown and Julio Jones and the extra focus on Derrick Henry makes it a little more difficult to sack Tannehill?
  14. Supposedly Knox broke his hand… so that’s cool.
  15. I swear if we don’t have All-Pros at every position by the end of the regular season, we might as well just forfeit once the playoffs start.
  16. You can’t just magically look and see an open guy on the opposite side of the field when you’re looking one way and have pressure in your face and have to get the ball out. Come on, man.
  17. How is anyone placing blame on Josh Allen right now? I mean really… guy is leaping over defenders and running for his life and we’re complaining because he didn’t see a guy break open for a split second on a play where 2 guys are in his face, he’s looking the opposite direction and he has to get the ball out or take a sack. Give me a ***** break.
  18. You’re right it’s a cost benefit analysis… but you need to drill into the issue. I’m not saying he can’t be cut… but it’s lazy analysis to say he’s getting old therefore he’s no longer productive. That’s why I said you need to separate the two.
  19. Is his production declining because he’s not capable of doing what he’s been doing his entire career or is it because Knox has emerged? We have to separate the two. It was talked about a lot that if Knox were to emerge targets would have to be taken away from Diggs, Beasley and the new WR2. There are only so many targets to go around each year and last year we were at that upper limit. I have the numbers somewhere because I had to explain it to a bunch of people. If his production is dipping because of his age then it’s an issue. If he’s still capable of doing what makes him great… his age and declining production in an offense that has numerous mouths to feed are not actual issues. The only reason you move on is if you can find a player to do what Beasley does, at the same level, for less money. That was the whole thing with Sanders this year… everyone was freaking out because he’s 34… but that only mattered if he was incapable of doing what makes him a productive player. All evidence pointed to him still being a capable and productive player. Right now it seems like the only issue with Beasley is the distraction portion. Although, McDermott’s comments and his teammates interactions with him show me that it’s primarily a media/fan driven narrative that’s wildly overblown.
  20. Tre White to Sanders after his 2nd TD of the game: “They said you was too old.” Sanders: “That’s what they said! That’s what they said. That’s what they said.” He’s talking to the clowns on the message board here who said he was too old BTW.
  21. This can’t be accurate?
  22. Cousins made the playoffs 1 time in Washington and got a fat contract. He’s a middle of the road QB that can’t elevate a team and relies on help from the players around him. Mayfield is the same player. Tannehill is the same player. You can put lipstick on a pig like Arthur Smith did with Tannehill… but if Tannehill were a legit QB he would’ve been able to show a lot more on his own despite Gase in Miami. You’re going to see the same thing with Darnold in Carolina. They’ll look better because they have competent coaching and get to develop a bit… but they are who they are… guys with average-ish traits that play up in a system designed to help them maximize those average-ish traits. I don’t care what Tannehill did against us in 1 particular (weird) scenario… sure it happened… that’s not the player he’s been his entire career. He’s protected by Henry. Look how they handle the guy in the playoffs… they don’t trust him to throw the football. In 4 playoff games he has averaged 21 passing attempts… like my original statement… Tannehill, Mayfield and Cousins are the same… they can’t win you a game regularly… they hide behind their RB. The Titans have demonstrated that’s true in the most important games they’ve played since he has been there.
  23. Tannehill, Mayfield and Cousins are all the same. If you force them to win the game, they can’t. They need to hide behind Henry, Chubb and Cook to be effective.
  24. Is Josh really that good? Or is Mahomes just regressing? 🤔
