List of draft players Bills have met with
LyndonvilleBill replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're probably correct in he doesn't affect the opponents defensive game plan overall, but he still has to be accounted for. With his 4.6 yards per carry last season, it isn't something to sneeze at. Plus he has good pass blocking skills and needs to be part of his evaluation. I'm sure I'll get slammed for this, But.π₯ Here's my thing. I keep trying to talk myself into a RB, but with Motor, Moss, Johnson and Jones already on the roster for this season I am finding it difficult to draft one this year. Unless someone truly falls, I just don't see it. Next year would be the year in my opinion. I could maybe see a late round or UDFA though.π€ -

I know they don't normally use the TAG on players, but in the case of Knox, he likely to get top 5 money anyways. Wouldn't they be wise to use it on Knox next year if needed? -
I'd punk his a$$. Tell him, were trading you straight up for Baker Mayfield and send him to the Browns. At least Baker wants to play.

Well, with Edmunds on his 5th and Klein out, I wouldn't be surprised if Beane took an early shot at him. Timing could be right.π€. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if he did. I think 57 may be a little early. I've picked him in a few of my mocks, but doubt he makes it to 89. Maybe Brandon Smith at 89 if we go LB in the 3rd?? As others have said and my best guess, top of the 3rd more than likely for Anderson.

Do you take a corner in the first?

Levi is no longer here and hasn't been replaced. Pass rush won't matter if you can't cover for more than 2 seconds. I actually like Jackson and think he could potentially be the #2 (potentially). But, do you want to count on it or him having to be the #1? Especially with some of the WR we will/could be facing? I am not assuming White won't be back, I am assuming he won't be back at 100%, at least through the first half of the season. Heaven forbid there is any kind of setback. Really, Woodson?! How many others have made it back in 19 weeks? Come on man... I am not a DR, but almost everything I've seen is 9-12 months and could be longer given the mental piece. Considering what we have already done in FA, it's not a risk we should be willing to take. We currently have what, Johnson, Jackson and uncertainty with White as our 3 starters? We basically already have our starting Oline, our WR's and our DL. We need depth at LB, S, OL, WR and possibly an upgrade to the TE (Sweeney/Gillam) and RB group (Moss). But with signing of OJH and DJ it kind of takes the pressure off. At this point, CB still needs to be addressed. -

I have some questions. When did Dawkins become healthy? When did they put Bates in at LG? Didn't we have a rookie playing RT? Didn't they change the way the line played when Bates came in and Dawkins was back to health?π€ I believe with a healthy Dawkins, Saffold as well as Bates and Brown having got some real experience, our line will be better to start the year. Add a couple of later round picks for depth and future. I just don't think you can not take into account the way the line played the last 5-6 games. Health and experience goes a long way. I would add, that if the defense could have stopped the run against the Titans or Colts or we didn't have the wind game against NE maybe even not having a blocked punt against the Steelers things may have been different. Maybe we are home for the divisional round. Maybe if we had a CB similar to White (at least better than Wallace and Jackson), the whole 13 second thing never happens. Maybe they don't play Prevent?? Too many maybes. We will have answers over the next few weeks as to what the coaches think. But until then, CB is and should be the priority.π -

My question would be, do you want Doyle to take over at Tackle? I wanted to try it last season (against others thoughts) and then when we did, I realized what a bad choice it was. He was not ready and I was wrong. If anything as we sit today, if someone had to take over for Morse, I think they would move Bates to center and the Ford to G. You'd still have Mancz as a backup. But if we were to lose a tackle for some reason, we really don't have anything available in my opinion. Ford MIGHT get us by for a game or so at RT, but heaven forbid we had to put him at LT.π± -

I was actually thinking with the extension of Morse and re-signing of Bates they might have shifted their thoughts to a Guard with Tackle flex instead of C/G.π€ -
Gotta get in front of Seattle for Carson Strong...πππ

As of today, I'll go with: Logan Bruss OG Darrian Beavers LB -
I was all over Austin as well as Moore early, but then we re-signed Lil' Dirty. Don't get me wrong still love Austin, but dropped him off my board as I thought for the draft capital, it wasn't as much of a priority. Now I'm looking for a bigger WR with some speed. Love Watson as well, just a little too rich for me in the 1st as some are projecting.π€

As it sits now, and looking at several boards, I think it will be close. In my dream world, we would trade back a few spots in the 1st (depending on who's available of course) and pick up a 3rd or 4th. Maybe even with KC for 29 or 30. Grab Gordon and then use the extra 3rd/4th to move up in the 2nd and get Pierce (Saints at 49?). Heck, I'd be willing to give next years 3/4th to make it happen. Picture Diggs, Davis, McKenzie/Crowder and Pierce as 4 wide and Knox on top of that? Hey, one can dream, right? π
