  1. "You went full analytics. Never go full analytics!" ?
  2. Technically, Buffalo is the only NY team, but I digress. ? There is a good point there, part of the narritive is that the Bills, long-time losers, drafted him. A hard-luck team uses a high pick on a kid who looks like a statistical mess. Sounds like a Cleveland move, and so the media spins it that way. Had NE drafted Allen the narrative would be completely different, as Bellie gets the next possible GOAT with raw talent and just a small handful of flaws that a brilliant coach like him could fix. The narrative of each preseason game would be how amazing Allen is, and how quickly Bellie is molding him into a god. Also remember, the media is looking for clicks. With all these QBs drafted, they need to strongly differentiate between them. Otherwise they risk looking like they're copy/pasting. Allen is on the Bills, and got the storyline "High-risk, likely bust", to separate him from the others.
  3. It's about culture. The Browns are 1-31, coming off 0-16. Tyrod will not make the big plays to win games, but will not make the mistakes. As with us, TT will keep the Browns in a number of games. The Browns need that consistancy right now. They need to win a few games, get the monkey off their back, then they can bring Mayfield in. Look at it this way, if Cleveland crash and burns with TT against a tough schedule, he is a sacrificial lamb. Mayfield is then brought in against easier teams and the fans forgive all. If Mayfield starts and the Browns struggle, talk will persist about the Browns still being losers, and Mayfield will come under fire. This gets even worse if other QBs taken in this draft are doing well. All kinds of way too early talk about if Mayfield is a bust, if Cleveland took the wrong QB, etc. Makes sense to start Tyrod, believe it or not...
  4. I think the plan has been, see what the kid can do. Put him out with the 3rd string, played well enough for a shot with the 2nd team...played well enough for a shot with the 1s. Peterman is, at this point, a known commodity. I don't think Allen is a lock for week 1 starter yet, but I think he starts vs Cinci, as a bit of a final exam...and his chance to win the week one start. McD has been watching and waiting for him to stumble, for him to be overwhelmed, for him to show he isn't ready. Instead, he's shown poise and game presence I'm stunned to see in a rookie. I know it's preseason, but just compare Allen in the two-minute drill compared to what we had last season. Allen is further ahead then planned, exceeding expectations. I think he gets the start vs. Cinci, with a chance to win the regular season starting job.
  5. The question now is...would starting Allen constitute a signifigant drop-off? If the competition is even remotely close, start the kid and get him his experience.
  6. I like the throw. We know he can make the throw. But what impressed me was the *poise* there. Didn't look like a rook...
  7. Allen in making a strong case here...
  8. Stuck with radio...which just cut out. But damn, sounds like Allen's got some poise to go with that cannon!
  9. To hide that this was once a completely different thread. Four pages in the OP completely changed the title and original post in an effort to hide/bury it.
  10. Again, this was created in response to another thread, where the OP maintained it was a 50/50 split. That thread has, after four pages, had it's title and original post changed to cover that fact. It's linked above.
  11. People love me at parties, tend to leave them laughing hard. Just, my sense of humor doesn't involve trolling. And can't rent me, my engine has a bad head gasket, wouldn't survive the commute. ?
  12. I'm honestly stunned its not changed back yet. Mods are usually on top of things like this.
  13. Oh, it was just to troll the members here, that's why the OP changed the title and original post after it got to four pages, trying to bury/hide it.
  14. I linked the original thread in an earlier reply. The OP on that thread changed the title and wiped out their original post to try and destroy all evidence it existed. Original thread is here: Page two has the 50/50 claim.
  15. It was in response to another poll, where the poster noted people were divided 50/50. That poster has since renamed that thread to Sam Darnold Dazzles in Debut
  16. So, the OP changes the original post and title to hide what happened? ?
  17. Wild Card, Buf @ Jax. Jax won 10-3. ...yep, it's over.
  18. In CuddyDark's mind it's fact because the victim said so. See my prior post on white knight syndrome.
  19. The playoff drought is over. The "drought of not making the playoffs without the assistance of other teams" or "the drought of not being a dominant team" remain. OP needs to quantify which drought.
  20. If you claim the drought isn't over, how do you define droughf? Bills played a 17th game. Was called a playoff game, is on record as a playoff game. ...some people are never happy...
  21. Exhibit "A", the NO game. Exhibit "B", the CAR game. And the best evidence of all, exhibit "C", the JAX game...a game we still had a chance to win because our D held them to 10 points. Yes, Tyrod was part of the reason, but he was in no way, shape or form "the quarterback that saved the season". Not even close.
  22. Oh, should we toss some more facts out? Fact, McCoy wanted her out of the house, and jewelry returned. Fact, he was trying to evict her. Fact, there was an eviction court hearing slated for the day after the attack. Fact, the victim's story keeps changing, most recently with a newly added claim that the attacker outright said he knew McCoy, information that somehow did not come out right away. Fact...the facts do not make things as clear-cut as some believe.
  23. I stopped reading at "...Tyrod, the quarterback that saved the season." Now if I can only stop laughing. ? The Bills looked terrible on paper last season, too. Coaching and defense saved the season. Spirit of the thread...Bills 7-9 wins, Browns 4-6.
  24. "I care about the facts." What facts?!? The woman was attacked...fact. Every single other thing about this matter...heresay and conjecture. There aren't even facts...there is a single fact. One. See, I have not, and will not say McCoy didn't do it, any more then I'll say he did. Without facts, it's all speculation. Due to her recent antics, especially changing her story I find her far less credable, but I can't say for certain she's lying. And I've maintained that from the start. But stating McCoy either attacked her or hired someone to as outright fact? I love people who rant about people here already declaring him innocent, when they are already declaring him guilty. Hypocracy at it's finest.
  25. White knight syndrome. Something horrible happens to a woman, and the women IDs the cause, some people will immediately believe them without a shred of evidence and lead the crusade to bring down the horrible ogre that did horrible things to the poor damsel. They never stop to question, even slightly, if the victim is wrong about their attacker (be it honest mistake, assumption or outright lie), or if all the facts might not be accurate. They see the victim, feel horrible for them, believe every word said without question, and berate anyone else who doesn't do the same as being insensitive to the victim. Seen it many times in my life. Hell, twice I was the white knight...and in the end it was revealed I was duped, both times. Lesson (eventually) learned.
