Tre White - Best in the League?
DCOrange replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it’s extremely likely that we’ve already tried to negotiate with him. -
Tre White - Best in the League?
DCOrange replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he still has 2 years left on his deal anyways, and again, with each major corner that signs a contract, his price goes up. 5/$80 won't get it done anymore because Byron Jones already exceeded that and Tre is better + inflation. -

In all likelihood, Tre won't agree to an extension this offseason. He shouldn't be in any rush, and as other corners sign, the price tag will only go up higher. I imagine it'll be in the $90-100 million range when it's all said and done (unless he goes for something shorter like 4 years and $75-80 million). -

I'm not sure he's the best, but I would bet that when he gets his new contract, he'll be the highest paid in the league. That's just how NFL contracts work. -
Wow, I bet on this happening a few days ago at +950 odds. Also bet that he'd go top 10. This would be a very welcome outcome for me lol

Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?

Not sure if it's a hot take or not, but my guess is Edwards-Helaire won't be available at 54. -
Browns to introduce new uniforms at 12:00 pm

It's literally like two posts above yours. If you can't tell the difference from that, I don't really know what to say. -
Justin Herbert is being predicted to Miami over Tua
DCOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I mean, unless they're just scared shitless of Tua's injuries, I don't see how any team can prefer Herbert over Tua. I don't think Herbert is anywhere near Tua as a prospect (if his medicals are relatively okay). -

Definitely better WRs if you directly compare to Wyoming, but relative to the competition they were playing, Allen's WRs his sophomore year > Herbert's WRs. Allen's WRs his last year were an absolute embarrassment though, whereas Herbert's were simply bad. The major difference is that Oregon had one of the best OLines in the country while Allen was running for his life every play. -

I have Herbert's likely comp being a poor man's Jay Cutler and is as low a 1st round grade as I give soooo yeah, I'm happy to hear he might be Miami's target. Edit: He's also my #5 QB in the draft, so again, very pleased to see these reports. -
Jay Glazer: I will break big, national news tomorrow
DCOrange replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also, NFL owners are literally meeting with Trump this week to discuss bringing sports back. There's no way they're ready to announce the cancellation of the season before the meeting even occurs. -

I would be very shocked if this is about a cancelled or delayed season. Don’t expect it to be a signing or trade either. The Patriots punishment or a retirement theories make the most sense to me so far if it’s something specific to the NFL. -
Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
DCOrange replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's pretty much the antithesis of what I want an NFL offense to be. I'm looking for: RBs that are weapons in the passing game: He was pretty much never involved and when they did throw him the ball, he dropped it. RBs that can create big plays: He rates near the bottom of the class in terms of big play %. RBs that are comfortable operating out of the shotgun and spread offenses: Pretty much all of his touches are from under center with 12 or 22 personnel. I also just prefer my RBs to rely on short area quickness rather than pure power or speed and he's definitely in the latter category. Ultimately, I see him as a guy where you put him on the field, the field shrinks, and the defense knows you're running the ball. That's just not what I want. I don't doubt that he can be a statistically productive runner, but I think he limits what you can and will do on offense. I'd personally only be interested in him as a short-yardage back, which I'd say is worth like a 6th round pick or something like that, but he'll almost certainly be gone well before that because there's definitely still some old-school teams out there that will put a lot of value in him, especially after Derrick Henry's crazy season this year. -

I loathe Dillon. I wouldn’t draft him in any round. -

For most of the draft process he was thought of as a 4th-5th round guy. Seems like he's been getting more love recently though. I personally view him as a 5th-6th. -

He's my #6 RB in the class, but those that are higher on him than I am would probably argue: Great physical profile in terms of physical build, long speed, and explosiveness. The only RBs with a higher elusiveness rating are Zack Moss and Javon Leake (on limited snaps). One of the better pass blockers in the class. Was pretty involved in the passing game at Florida State (to mixed results). He technically checks pretty much every box you'd look for in a RB and the ones that he doesn't check could theoretically be blamed on the horrific OLine he had at Florida State. -

Factoring in where you need to select them, I think I would probably rank them something like this: Zack Moss - Arguably the same tier of prospect as the top guys, but you can theoretically get him in the 3rd round instead of the 2nd. Cam Akers - Same deal as Moss, but I like Moss better. D'Andre Swift - I don't really love any of the Day 3 RBs, so at this point, I'd come back to the potential Round 2 guys and Swift is my #1. JK Dobbins - Same deal as Swift but Dobbins is my #2. Clyde Edwards-Helaire - Same deal as the previous two but CEH is my #3. Lamical Perine - I think you can maybe get him in the 5th if you're lucky and I think he compliments Singletary nicely and could theoretically turn into a starter. Jonathan Taylor - I don't like him as much as the top 3 RBs and he'd cost the 2nd round pick also, so I have him slightly behind Perine in terms of which I would want. -
QB Class of ‘18 Stats and Evals going into year three
DCOrange replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way I see it, Lamar is currently in one tier at the top. Rudolph and Rosen are in another at the bottom. You can order the other 3 any way you want and I won't complain much. I like our guy and he's the only one of the 3 that clearly improved in year 2 (though I think you can argue Darnold improved despite the absolutely disastrous Patriots game). But Allen also started out firmly behind Baker after Year 1. I think I'd go Allen-Darnold-Baker, but as I said, those three are jumbled together right now IMO. -
Colts introduce a secondary logo
DCOrange replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t know what the original meaning was, but the dots are from the horseshoe logo. The horseshoe has 7 grommets around it so they added that feature to the new C logo. -
If it's the same spreadsheet I'm aware of (his master draft board for the Bills), that's just saying that the Bills visited Memphis 3 times but never scouted a game. Also mentions "lots of interest in post-season" but nothing more than that and I haven't seen anything reported by anyone that we've been in contact with Gibson or shown any interest in him. I think he potentially makes sense as he may have the versatility that we tend to love.
-
Where did he mention the Bills meeting with Gibson? I don't follow his stuff super close. The only thing I had seen from him is that the Bills went to Memphis a few times this year but never scouted any of their games and I didn't see anything specific to meeting with Gibson. He has a lot of content that I haven't read though.
-
These videos aren't perfect as they only show his targets/rushes rather than all reps, but still helps a lot IMO as you can see the whole field:
-
Not that the public is aware of. Didn't scout Memphis games either.
