I would say the opposite. Bowden to me is a lower ceiling version of Gibson. I'm not particularly interested in either. Gibson is a 4th-5th round guy to me. I don't think I'd really draft Bowden at all; I just don't see it with him. Equally raw but less explosive with the ball in his hands.

This is pretty much where I’m at too. My feelings might change if we bring in a legitimate RB to play with Singletary first, but there’s no way IMO that we can head into the year with Yeldon and Gibson as his backups. Obviously an extremely explosive threat once you get the ball in his hands. He doesn’t really know how to play any position right now though. Obviously role for him to replace McKenzie early on if we wanted to train him as a WR though. He’s a 5th round guy for me with our current roster construction.

In the free games of his that I watched, he looked like he still didn’t really know what he should be doing on a basketball court. Kind of just floated around on offense while the other guys played and just stood in the middle on defense and waited to see if anyone would attempt to drive at him. Very very long ways away right now but you can’t teach his size. He would have been a redshirt for sure at SU though.

Interesting Player Starting to Slide

I'm relatively low on Shenault as a prospect, but I'd be perfectly fine with it if he were the pick. I tend to think someone will take him ahead of us though. -
David Carr Criticizes Winston’s workout

I imagine Jameis will settle for a 1 year deal as a backup. He's absolutely a starting caliber QB though. But the teams that realistically want new QBs right now are looking more for someone that can just take care of the ball and keep the offense on schedule. Jameis hasn't shown the ability to do that; what he has shown is that he can put a lot of points on the board (yes, for his opponents sometimes, but Tampa's offenses have been great with him at the helm). I'd say he's roughly the same tier of QB right now as Allen, but obviously very different risk-reward profiles. -
I would never draft a kicker or punter so it really depends on who is available after the draft IMO. Shouldn't be difficult to upgrade Bojo. I'm not certain we can find a good upgrade for Haushka but we should definitely bring someone in and find out.

All in all, the Bucs end up with: OT Andrew Thomas WR Michael Pittman Jr. S/Nickel Terrell Burgess That looks like three Day 1 starters to me on a team with Super Bowl hopes. Think this went about as well as I could reasonably expect. Figure I'd be angling for a RB, DLine, and possibly a late day 3 developmental QB with the rest of the draft.

I don't expect Arizona to be good enough for Kyler to be in the MVP picture, but he's likely to have a strong supporting cast around him on the offensive end at least and between the supporting cast, the system, and his individual talent, there's some serious breakout potential there. There's certainly potential with Allen to do the same, and we seem poised to be a better overall team thus helping Allen's chances, but I think most outside of Buffalo view Kyler as a better talent right now and may also see some similarities between Lamar's breakout 2019 and Kyler's potential to do the same in 2020. At their original odds, I would rather wager on Allen, but I would tend to lean towards Kyler being a more likely candidate.

I like Cooks a lot but this whole thing just makes no sense. -

Mike Clay 2020 team projections: Bills

This doesn't really work because of rounding. At any rate, he includes a total point projection on the right hand side: 328 points or 20.5 points per game. 21st out of the 28 teams he's released so far, which is basically exactly where we were a year ago. Last year, our top 3 were responsible for 64% of the team's passing yards. Clay projects they'll be responsible for 65% this year. No, that's for fantasy football. -

People should understand this is basically him replicating the sorts of odds you get in Vegas, meaning that everyone is pushed a bit towards the middle. He almost certainly won't have teams projected 12+ wins or less than 4 wins. A good example of that is he has the Bills defense allowing like 60+ more points than they did last season, but that's also the best in the league. So if you look at the points allowed, it looks like he thinks the defense will be worse this year, but he literally thinks they'll statistically be the best. And I believe the 8.5 wins is enough to win the division based on his projections/is like 4th best in the conference. Also, as I mentioned in the last Mike Clay thread, it's kinda pointless to be looking at this stuff when the roster isn't complete. Like he has Buffalo as one of the worst RB groups in the league right now, but it seems very likely that we will improve on that before the season begins. -
