  1. I do think that Ledyard's gimmick is being the loudest Allen critic in the room.
  2. The tough part is proving they made a private agreement. Probably no way to do so, unless the owners were dumb and let a paper trail.
  3. Each team is a private company ( one held in the public trust) and the league itself is a trade association. When several different companies make a private agreement to blacklist someone, or some group then it is an illegal collusion.
  4. I always root for the hapless teams. Used To be the bengals been rooting (just a little) for the Browns since 2005. If some team besides the Bills was going to find their QB I’m glad it was the Browns.
  5. The owners aren’t a board of directors, the league is a trade association. So this would be several private companies coming together to make a joint bussinuss decision that limits open competition and defrauds others in some way. Railroads used to use such arrangements to fix prices.
  6. The question is if they are all making that determination individually or if it was a collective decision they made together at some point.
  7. We don’t know if the owners made an agreement to not hire these players. If they did then they are at fault. That’s what needs to be sorted out.
  8. Should is different than must. Pretty sure you are the one confused on this one. Not sure what the source of your confusion is.
  9. I think Ledyard makes good points. Allen looked how we expected him to, with all the issues we knew he had. Ledyard simply makes his bones using critical language to express the same point. He he does a mailbag column and was asked who has been disappointing to you so far. In other words who hasn’t played as well as you thought they would so far. He includes aallen with the note that Allen is playing exactly how he thought he would. In other words he wanted to write a dig at Allen and ignored the question to do so.
  10. It’s my understanding that the Bills play “let’s get Physical” by Olivia Newton John on repeat during these work outs.
  11. Those rules are outlined in the CBA standing at the anthem is not a rule. You can’t add new rules to that agreement on a whim. Otherwise you could have ownership adding rules on a whim all the time. And you know Jerry Jones would add in a “wash the owners car “ rule if he could.
  12. When they “go at it hard” I hope there are no “blows”.
  13. Darnold’s demeanor reminds me of Tim Couch. He’s going to be crying on the sidelines before long.
  14. Allen looked bad on Sunday. Darn old looked bad today. The silver lining is that Allen didn’t look rattled like Darnold did. Gives me hope that he’ll be tough enough to get past the growing pains.
  15. We robbed the Browns with the Tyrod trade. Not that they are complaining at this point.
  16. I don’t think many think it’s awsome to suck, just that it’s not much worse that being perpetually mediocre.
  17. I don’t think his 6 mil could have helped reinforce that much.
  18. Beane has a plan, he’s made mistakes that stand out big time but he has a plan. The margin for error is small though so those mistakes are magnified. We don’t know if the plan will pay off, but at least he’s swinging hard for the fence. The personnel mistakes made so far won’t hurt next year and even the best off season moves would not have made this team a playoff contender this year. I think McDermitt is a good motivator. The way the defense came out at halftime is a testament to that, they were fired up. Last year was a test I ate to that too, they won 9 games and made the playoffs with a team that had limited talent. You could see how fired up they were last year, the third down run by Taiwan comes to mind, he was playing hard and the way the team rallied around him was really impressive.
  19. If they bring back the Chin They can maintain their 3 coaches in 50 years streak.
  20. If the Browns lose to the Jets on Thursday, or if Darnold plays better that Taylor then it's going to be hard to keep Taylor on the field.
