  1. Why does that matter, the cap hit of signed players is irrelevant, the market value of free agents is what matters.
  2. Cutting Shady saves us 3.7 Mil what player can be as valuable as shady for 3.7 mil?
  3. I don’t see Hughes leaving, he is the only pass rusher they have. Cutting Tyrod and Glenn saves us 20, Mil ( if we cut Tyrod before his bonuses kick in). We already have 35 mil in cap space. With 55 mil we don’t cut Hughes. Unless you think you can get a better player for 5 mil, which I don’t see as realistic.
  4. QBs have their draft stock fall through the season and rise as we get closer to the draft. I can only think of one QB who was talked about as a first round pick in January and then fell out of the first round (Claussen). At least 5 QBs will be off the board by the 21st pick. Rosen and Darnold are talked about as top guys, Allen will be seen by someone as Wentz 2.0 and Jackson will be seen by someone as Watson 2.0 and Mayfield will blow someone away with his hard work and production. So there is no way any of them are available at 21 unless some big shakeup happens with one of them.
  5. Why is Mayfield compared to Johnny football? Mayfield is known for being an insanely hard worker, a walk on who became a 3 time Heisman finalist and 1 time winner, and he is a true leader loved by teammates and coaches. Johnny was despised by teammates, was lazy as heck and coasted by on talent. So where do the comparisons come from?
  6. Let’s look at the FCS and Get the Next Carson Wentz.
  7. Cousins is going to get at least 30 mil per year. His contract will be an inflated version of Stafford’s. At least 150 for 5 years 75 guaranteed and a 60 mil signing bonus.
  8. If their evaluation says that one of the QBs is a top ten starter then they absolutely should do it. 2004 is the example to point to. If we used 2 firsts a second and a fifth to move ahead of Pittsburgh and draft Ben then this is a different franchise. If they think that one of the six guys being talked about for the first round has the chops then get them, who knows when your next chance will be. Modern charts put the value of out picks at equal to the 3rd or 4th. Is there any particular pick metric you favor?
  9. I think Alex will want to start without being a stopgap. He probably thinks he has 6 more years of being a starter.
  10. Sam Bradford, he would be happy to show he can play with his repaired knee. Pay him a little and give him an opportunity to earn a better Contract after a year or two by then our draft pick will be good to go. When he stays healthy he’s a quality QB.
  11. He started a week 17 game which he lost with a pick 6. So he got some playing time.
  12. Sam Bradford would be inexpensive and probably willing to be a stopgap for a developing rookie.
  13. Tyrod played 27 quarters against playoff teams he led the offense to 2 touchdowns. That is a rate of 1 TD every 200 minutes. He averaged 185 yards per game. He is obviously not the worst ever, but bad real bad.
  14. Regardless of if he would have gotten a he’d coaching gig or not the Bills were going to fire him, I’m glad he got an offer but he had his last day in Buffalo as soon as McD was hired.
  15. Move up to get Baker Mayfield. I think the guy is a top talent but Rosen and Darnold will go first. Jump however high it takes to get him (based on senor bowl, pro day and combine.)
  16. The bills chose not to hire him at HC and so he took a head coaching job elsewhere. I suppose fired was the wrong word.
  17. If he is fired it would mean that in Tyrod’s 3 years as a starter all 3 of his OCs were fired. Bad QBs make everyone look bad.
  18. My bad, fixed. But yes if she did we should pay attention to it.
  19. There has not been a trade in at least the last 20 years where a team packaged 2 first round picks from the current draft to move up. If the Bills decide to package 21& 22 I’ll be curious to see what they get. Johnson chart says 7th, throw in a 2nd and the Johnson chart says we could get to 4th.
  20. It was the longest in modern day but I bet the hockey drought would be less likely because of how many teams make it each year.
  21. The 17 year drought was a once every 100 years occurance and the worst drought in NFL history. http://beerssportsnetwork.com/news-and-awards/buffalo-defies-odds-chooses-andy-dalton-as-mvp
