Is the NFL Better than Ever Today?
Kwai San replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Huge hockey fan here - a disclaimer here, I grew up in Philly and watched the Flyers win the cup against the Sabres. One key takeaway I have from this post is the players HAVE gotten huge. Back in the day when Lindros played (90's) he was an anomaly. Huge Fast guy.....now it is a league of huge guys AND fast guys. So time and space has drastically been reduced. Would be super cool if the sheet of ice were international size to give more room to create better plays. I disagree on your view of the goalies however. Since the Sabres haven't had a decent netminder in many years now it is easy to fall into that trap. I know as the Flyers went many many many years before they hit big on their current goalie. I see saves from him that would be goals from any of the cast of clowns they trotted out there for seemingly years on end. Having had season tix to the Bills starting in 1987 for 25 years and attending games sporadically after giving them up I am mixed as to which era was/is better. There are good things from both eras. Players today are just absolute freaks of nature and in that respect interesting to watch. QB's are coddled too much but that is a byproduct of what the NFL has morphed into. Sure there were players who seemed to play for longer careers but I think the physicality of today's game has shortened careers with the knowledge of brain injuries as we know understand them. Baseball has always been meh to me. Basketball - the only basketball I will watch is college ball. So I can not comment on them. I like the comment about Nostalgia being a drug! So true.... -

Yeah HOW did he do that???? -
Great article......made me think of those "Voice of the Game" articles on The Players Tribune. Glad to see/hear he is stabilizing. Kinda understand a bit more as to why he was getting those BAT SHEET crazy Unsportsmanlike penalties he was picking up with regularity year in and year out. Nice to meet ya Gary - now go take off some QB heads will ya! 😈

RIP Jake -
I knew they lost when I saw that Josh Norman tested positive and took down 3 players with him........that screwed things up mightily.

Hear me out: We could very well win out

Thats a good laugh to me in that I just got corrected - rightly so - in a recent post.....we are loaded with frustrated HS English majors here!!! In addition to the frustrated HS English majors it now appears with have frustrated HS Math majors here too!!! Can we get some History and PE majors to round it all out??? -
What I am saying that he IS BETTER than your qualifier that you apply - I just didn't come right out and say that as I should have - my bad. Bottom line a real good move by Beane

I hope so - I don't think so but I can hope..... -
Not to hijack the thread but as a thread a lil while ago pointed out - after C. Bennet - Diggs is the BEST trade made for the Bills of all times and Diggs is making that trade look awesome! AND he is moving in on the Bennet trade as best ever......hard to believe that at 22 there would be more of an impact player available to the Bills than Diggs.

Stone Cold Beastly!!! What a freaking catch. That clip was about 20 minutes longer than it needed to be tho......lordy that guy wouldn't shut up about nothing. He could have used 1/15th the amount of words and still got his point across..... Way to go Stone Cold!! -
Jerry Hughes Do U Bring Him Back or Let Him Walk ?
Kwai San replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By all means let one of the better D players walk and take the cap hit too! Sheesh...... -
@SageAgainstTheMachine Oh what a tangled web you wove! Awesome effort and THANKS! I can not imagine how long that took to craft together.....

Winning teams vs. winning teams
Kwai San replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amazing how hyper critical some Bills fans are. Even when they have an awesome team in front of them they still feel the need to cherry pick faults. Has to be in their upbringing. No normal person would think that way..... -
And yet "somehow" the Bills are 7-3. Largely outfoxed at every turn.......sheesh

Joshs development has been amazing

One can only hope....as much as I maligned Daboll last year it certainly seems like the QB to OC connection/trust is there this year. The lights coming on brighter and brighter for JA. It has been fun to watch..... -
I kinda agree with this by Gugs - stuff gonna happen, certainly didn't help the cause but overall this season he has improved over last. Maybe 2 wonky kicks and the rest purdy dang good.

Still haven’t seen Allen’s potential
Kwai San replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't quite happen like you thought tho did it??? In fact absent a miracle play the Bills would have won that game and then "yup, this game WOULD have been over."
