  1. It tracks that the messenger of the gods would be busy
  2. I like her back. I’ll have it anytime!
  3. I agree. I really like Shorter and was happy we drafted him at the time. As much as I like him, expecting anything at all from him is pointless. We have absolutely no idea what he can do and for all we know he is Vosean Joseph…redshirt a year then out of the league.
  4. I just hope they don't fall I love with some guy they know they can get. Like a Tez Walker. Now, I really like Walker, but I could see them reaching for him because he is a guy they like and they know they can get him. That's what the Kaiir Elam thing felt like to me. Some guy that a lot of people had in round two and they took him in round 1 and traded up for him. To me, that is the only way they blow it. They should be in position to get a pretty good player in the 20s.
  5. This is all I found: https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2024/03/nfl-draft-2024-buffalo-bills-top-30-visitors-zoom-meetings-and-private-workout-tracker.html And this is from Walter Football: Braelon Allen, Running Back, Wisconsin (COM) Graham Barton, Offensive Guard, Duke (COM) Trey Benson, Running Back, Florida State (T30) Khristian Boyd, Defensive Tackle, Northern Iowa (T30) Javon Bullard, Cornerback, Georgia (COM) Calen Bullock, Safety, USC (COM) Stefan Cobbs, Wide Receiver, Boise State (PRO) Keon Coleman, Wide Receiver, Florida State (COM) Cooper DeJean, Safety, Iowa (COM) Marlon Devonshire^, Cornerback, Pittsburgh (PRO, WOR) Audric Estime, Running Back, Notre Dame (COM) Braden Fiske, Defensive Tackle, Florida State (COM) Troy Franklin^, Wide Receiver, Oregon (COM, WOR) Frank Gore Jr., Running Back, Southern Miss (COM) Jalyx Hunt, Outside Linebacker, Houston Baptist (COM) Curtis Jacobs, Inside Linebacker, Penn State (COM) Kamren Kinchens, Safety, Miami (COM) Marshawn Kneeland, Defensive End, Western Michigan (T30) Kamari Lassiter, Cornerback, Georgia (COM) Xavier Legette, Wide Receiver, South Carolina (COM) Jalen McMillan, Wide Receiver, Washington (COM) Adonai Mitchell, Wide Receiver, Texas (COM) Byron Murphy II, Defensive Tackle, Texas (COM) Bo Nix, Quarterback, Oregon (COM) Patrick Paul, Offensive Tackle, Houston (COM) Javon Solomon^, 3-4 Outside Linebacker, Troy (COM, VIR) Brian Thomas Jr., Wide Receiver, LSU (COM) Edefuan Ulofoshio, Inside Linebacker, Washington (VIR) Devontez Walker, Wide Receiver, North Carolina (T30) Tez Walker^, Wide Receiver, North Carolina (COM, PRO) Johnny Wilson, Wide Receiver, Florida State (COM) Payton Wilson, Linebacker, N.C. 6. What is journalism anymore anyways. Lazy and unprofessional. You get fired at any other job for that type of mishap. This is not serious, kind of tongue in cheek, but this is a bad look.
  7. This is literally gold New Era. Nice work.
  8. Ruggs still probably thinks he didn’t do anything wrong.
  9. I wonder how much it takes for that dude to get drunk.
  10. Yeah I’m down with Coleman. The 4.6 is a little scary, but so many guys the board clamors for the last couple of are “slow guys.” Davante Adams, Deandre Hopkins, Tyler Boyd, Mike Evans, Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson…with a guy his size I am not sure the long speed matters all the much. I still prefer Brian Thomas, and after that Mitchell is my guy, but Coleman to me is in that same tier and I’d be good with him.
  11. For the people who want him, Tyler Boyd is just a pure slot guy. Way more than Samuel or even Shakir. He is also going to be too expensive for what he provides. I like the idea of versatile guys like Samuel. Boyd is not that. Good player, doesn’t complement the room.
  12. He makes sense. They have been pursuing for awhile now and he provides a little stopgap, takes some pressure off the young guys and whoever we draft. Plus we have Adam Henry here. I would do it and still draft a guy round 1.
  13. I mentioned in the other WR thread, go grab Terrance Marshall from the Panthers. He’s big, fast and still just 23 years old. He played for Brady at LSU and was drafted for Brady’s offense in Carolina. He was given permission to seek a trade in the fall and that was before the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and David Moore. He is just buried down there for whatever reason and needs a change of scenery. I get it that he isn’t the number 1 or whatever, but he knows the offense, he is big and fast and can catch the football and there is a pedigree there. He is an outside receiver. He should also be very cheap and Dan Morgan obviously is connected to the front office here. Sometimes these guys just get buried. These trades for aging veterans on huge deals just isn’t going to happen. Anyone think of any other young guys buried from regime changes or trades? The only other young guys who are buried that I could think of are Texans John Metchie and the Browns Cedric Tillman. Whatever happens and whoever we add, I am still taking a 1st round receiver and I think the mid trade up for Brian Thomas makes the most sense.
  14. Jefferson, Lamb, Chase won’t ever make it to free agency. But I do wonder about Nico Collins…I’d take him over all those other guys.
  15. Man Thomas is perfect for this team. Hopefully he drops since he is a quiet guy like Smith says. He’s a perfect fit.
  16. Dawson is overpaid for sure and that is the biggest issue with his spot on the roster. But he protects Kincaid and kind of allows Kincaid to be more of the finesse slot receiver as Knox can handle some of the dirty work. They already paid him and I think he is here the next two years because of the dead cap. But I haven’t moved on yet. For so many years we have been searching for tight ends and now we have two. I’m clinging hard to those guys. I do think we are at our best in 12 personnel, so I think he still has a role.
  17. It was tough. I had to talk to my wife about bills and plans and stuff.
  18. What stands out to me there is Legette…doing that in the SEC, being his teams’ really only weapon and playing with Rattler. Apparently he played poorly when Tennesse played man on him and locked him up. But that stat stands out to me.
  19. If Rex and Whaley stayed they would have drafted Deshaun Watson in the first round in 2017
  20. I typically agree with this, but with the Bills they rotate guys so much that this extra high end DL is immensely important. Do I think they should rotate as much as they do? No. But they do and it’s McDermott’s philosophy and a pass rusher here is the value imo. We should be getting immediate starters early in the draft. There are zero high end cheap, young, defensive tackles or DL on the roster. I think they could draft more than 1.
  21. Yes Jones and Oliver would still start. I think on run downs one of Fiske or Jenkins would be rotational with Ed, who had been around 60-70% of the overall snaps. On passing downs I would put Jenkins or Fiske on the field with Oliver and let them Hunt. So in my world this guy who would take the other 30% of run down snaps and also take all the pass rush snaps that went to guys like Phillips and Settle the last couple of years. My point is that this complimentary interior pass rush person does not exist on the roster at the moment. The value is there at this point in the draft.
  22. To me it’s two fold. It’s a case of BPA, and also it’s about getting after the QB. The only guy on the roster with any interior pass rush acumen is Oliver. It is one of the most expensive things to buy on the open market and interior pressure is the best way to beat Mahomes. Jenkins and Fiske potentially give you that. I like Kitchens, but I think you can find a safety later in the draft. I would have gone Walker or one of the DTs here. I’ll add some highlights as poll is starting to close:
  23. I think prices have gotten out of control at that position, and I do think you should pay guys like Jefferson and Chase, but the cost of these guys has some collateral damage. Minnesota has to reset their QB situation to pay Jefferson. The Bengals will have to lose Tee Higgins and others to pay Chase. To me, they are the exception, they are the guys who take over games. My point is that there really isn’t much difference between a Romeo Doubs and a Gabe Davis. A team like Jacksonville keeps throwing money at the position and it doesn’t get them anywhere. When they pay Lawrence they will no longer be able to do that. But spending money on guys like Gabe, giving huge money to a Diggs or a Tee Higgins is lunacy. Once you pay the Quarterback, I don’t think you can pay these guys as well. I think if you have a franchise QB, a real one like Mahomes or Josh etc and you can keep that guy upright, I don’t think it matters who is catching the ball. now if the Bills could find a Chase or Jefferson then they would need to do everything they can to keep them. But the only way you get a Chase is picking in the top 5 and the only way you get a Jefferson is if you get lucky and identify the right guy through scouting. I think the Bills are resetting their cap and as you said I think they will draft a couple of young guys and spend the money elsewhere going forward. I think Kincaid is there #1 and they just need to surround him with complimentary pieces. The Bills don’t have any money and so they are going to have to go forward with the idea of waiting and hoping rookie wide receivers step up and help them win a Super Bowl. I think this is the avenue they chose when they decided to move Diggs.
