  1. Couple of interesting things about the corners Marino mentioned... He seems to like Amos a bunch. Amos seems like the high floor guy. He's plug and play with a strong zone acumen. He also appears to like Hairston. He mentioned Hairston's 2023 tape was better as he had a shoulder injury in 2024. Those two guys seem like the best fits for us, however, I don't think either will be there in round two. Shavon Revel is also a great fit. His issue is that ACL. At the very least you have to assume he will be slow to start in camp and that likely hurts his chances of stepping in right away. But the upside is really big honestly. I like this player, I just am not sure they go down this road. Thomas is a crazy physical freak. He's only 20, a bit raw and a man press corner who struggles in zone. Sounds familiar to me. But he certainly has the physical traits and length the Bills look for. Porter is a crazy athlete with length, but he doesn't have a ton of experience as a corner and he is also 24 years old, same age as Christian Benford. The age thing doesn't bother me as much, but it is an interesting thought to take a guy who is raw and inexperienced and older. Marino also really liked Parrish from Kansas State. He's just small.
  2. Joe Marino’s DT, Corner and Edge breakdowns were pretty interesting and he kind of clearly points out which guys make sense from a Bills perspective. I highly recommend.
  3. Not a knock on Bishop really. It’s that Watts is really good. If the team doesn’t want to improve the skill level and keep positions open for their draft picks the year before, then what’s the point of what they are doing? Thats a mediocre way of building a roster and probably why we have not gotten over the hump. Competition breeds success. Iron sharpens iron. They should be trying to bring in better players at every position except QB. He’s the only superstar on the team. Let’s get better everywhere.
  4. Watts is already better than Bishop. He’d be the best safety on the team.
  5. I feel like Amos is the plug and play guy who may be available to them. There are some interesting athletic upside with guys like Porter but he’s raw. So do you draft traits or you looking for an instant starter. I don’t really know what the answer is, but that’s why I wish they would do something a bit more than Dane Jackson opposite Benford. Also Hairston, he’s the other guy who is probably plug and play and maybe there at 30.
  6. If released it’s a yes. I just like that he doesn’t like Patrick Mahomes.
  7. 100%. it’s a weak draft this year, 100% willing to sacrifice multiple 2025 picks to target specific guys. I would not be ok moving a 2026 pick unless I was getting Abdul Carter or something.
  8. Watts can really ball.
  9. I feel like the good teams who win super bowls tend to lend more towards BPA…but I will say that I think Beane really does it backwards. Top of the draft should always be BPA. You can use the rest of the draft to plug holes. He plugs holes early and drafts BPA later. I truly believe that is why he has done well later in the draft.
  10. I totally agree with you, but Beane clearly doesn’t and he drafts for need early every year. It’s unfortunate, but it is how he operates. Thats why the roster has Josh and a bunch of ok players. It’s part of why we can’t get over the hump.
  11. I feel like most try to predict what Beane will do. And this is what he would do. I voted for Amos, obviously not knowing if Porter would be here. I suppose my question is, if we took Nolen and Porter was gone here, then what do we do? Is Dane Jackson is your starting corner. Draft time is fun and it’s a crapshoot! It’s a fun exercise to go through! But I think the biggest thing is what the boards mindset is…are we predicting what we think will happen and what Beane will do? Are we taking BPA? Or we just taking the guy we like? I think all three of those mindsets would result in a very different experience.
  12. I don’t think they think too much long term here. They fill immediate needs. They paid a corner so now they need a cheap corner to play opposite him. That has to come high in the draft. Beane talks about value, but it’s BS GM speak. He drafts for need. In terms of how this mock is going and how the board thinks, I think there are a couple of different philosophies on the board with these mocks. Some people pick who they think the Bills would pick. Some people pick who they like and would pick. And some look at the consensus lists and take BPA. Honestly with this being a weak draft, unless you can get into the top 10-15, you really are just drafting for need from the start. It sucks, but that’s what this is shaping up to be. There is a lot of lack of impact here and anyone hoping for some huge move is probably lying to themselves. They will draft a corner and a DT high. Probably get an edge somewhere and draft and RB somewhere. It’s the MO of this front office.
  13. Nolen, Sanders, Williams, Alexander, Collins were the defensive tackles who went after “we” drafted Amos. So I suppose the question is would we rather have one of those guys at 30 and Porter here? Because unfortunately both the corner and DT positions have kind of dried up in this mock draft and it feels pretty realistic in my opinion. The hope is 3 QBs go, some WRs get over drafted, and there is a run on RBs and Tight ends. That seems to be the only path to high end talent dropping.
  14. I’m probably taking Farmer in this situation, but seems like Watts is BPA imo.
  15. At worst you bring him back a year, he crushes it and you franchise him.
  16. I agree! But I think that with a championship-caliber team here and 1 starting corner on the roster, that is a tough risk to take. If they signed a guy like Asante Samuel or even a Gilmore type to a 1 year deal and drafted Revel to be the replacement next year, then I think it makes a ton of sense.
  17. My problem with Revel is he is coming off a torn ACL. As currently constructed we need a guy who can come in a start day 1 and that's not really him. So I think I am out on him. It seems like the plug-and-play guys with zone acumen who will likely be available at the Bills pick are Hairston and Amos. I suppose the question is are you getting value taking them at 30? Who knows?
  18. Yep just like they will be chasing a corner. It's deja vu. I am interested to see what corners are still on the board when we get to our second pick. That would add some context to what we did in round 1 here.
  19. Need more content for the Hallmark movie
  20. They got back what they spent on him and he is very unlikely to play at all. Teams don't seem to buy into BS preseason stats anymore. With a whole new draft class of QBs coming in, it feels like NE is kinda getting something for him before the draft comes. I like Milton a lot and I disagree with the move, but I understand why they did it.
  21. This is probably true. Yeah I think it's the above statement. His value is as high as it will get probably. I also think that NE is eliminating competition. Everytime Maye screws up, fans and Boston paper will be pining for Milton. Now he's gone. I don't agree with it, because competition breeds success. But I get it.
  22. We all said this last year and they didn't do anything. Perhaps it's true, but I think a trade-up for an impact player in the first makes some sense this year. I also like the idea of three lottery tickets in the top 60 or so in the draft.
