TSW 3.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #26
MrEpsYtown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, I don’t think either guy is a 2 down linemen. I think they both have flexibility and would be welcome additions. These guys aren’t zero tech Mt. Cody types. Additionally, we are a 4-2-5 team, meaning you are always in third down defense. I voted Harmon because Grant won last time. But I Amos is going to be the pick tomorrow IMO. -
Yeah I hear that, I don't fault them for taking this stance, though I would hope James would just negotiate with Beane and his agent. But the Bills are dumb if they do this. He's a nice player, but when Cook was out, they were fine.

Dalvin was cooked after two years of that extension and is out of the league at age 29. Buyer beware because there is literally a family history of this type of extension not working out.

TSW 3.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #26

I very much think the pick is Amos here in real life, but I think Grant and Harmon are very tempting, and they could be lying in the weeds on the safety. -
Personally, I like Jacobs a little better, but I think that is a very fair number for Cook. And the 15 million a year posturing may just be him trying to get 10, which I think I would be okay with.

TSW 3.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #26

Should we eliminate Amos and Grant since they won the last first two drafts? -
15 million AVV would make him the third highest paid RB in the league after Barkley and McCaffrey. He'd be above Kamara, Jonathan Taylor etc. To me, Cook is an 8-9 million dollar a year back, and I think that is fair. That puts him in that tier right below Josh Jacobs. JMO.

Rams accept! @Virgil and TSW poll are on the clock.

I think they could go offensive line or edge as well

Just personally, I find Oladejo a lot more interesting than Jackson. I like the dynamic upside. -
None of it is mandatory. From the pictures,it looks like other guys aren't there like Bosa. I would start to worry if he is missing mandatory stuff. or just draft his replacement this weekend because there are a whole bunch of guys in this draft who can bring similar dynamics.

Yeah, that entire bolded section is explaining Trey Amos exactly. He's fast, can play zone and man, tackles, and gets turnovers. He's a very clean prospect and projection. -
Yeah he fits like a glove there. I do think this is a realistic scenario if more than half the teams feel he is a nickel player. But yeah, great pick and landing spot IMO.

I am seeing Grant creeping up in a lot of mocks and Harmon falling a bit. -

Jackson feels like a Billsy pick. And I like him. But I read a bio that compared him to AJ Epenesa. AJ is ok, but I think we need more. But this regime has types they target so it makes sense that he would be a guy they like. Second round feels more appropriate imo, but projections are all over the place. -
If I’m the Bills I am probably thinking about trading up for Barron, Harmon, or Golden at this point. I don’t think they would pick Barron, but they should.
-
i could see the Falcons doing that for sure. Raheem Morris probably a good fit for a guy with some of the Green stuff.

I could see them trying to get up for that elite talent, but it seems unlikely. I think it's just going to be a plug-the-holes kind of draft. A corner, probably two DTs, and edge. It may feel pretty underwhelming. Arms are too short for my liking and I hear there are off-the-field concerns. -
This pick has been creeping up in mocks
-
I like what you did getting Harmon, Porter and Oladejo.

I am trying to prepare myself for what looks like a bunch of perceived reaches in the first round. More than any other year, there does not appear to be any consensus on stuff aside from Ward is going 1 and Carter and Hunter are the two best players. Outside of that, it seems that mocks are really all over the place. I think we just have to prepare ourselves for more "Ricky Pearsall" type of moves where guys go in the first round who draft people had going in round three, creating perceived reaches. This draft feels like it may be a little unconventional. -

Where he was going in the draft seemed to be all over the place to begin with. -

Well if the goal is to get more women to the game, Carson would be a solid pick.
