  1. Saw Mayfield in a video next to L.T. Ladanian is listed as 5’10”. Mayfield had an inch on him, no more than 2 inches! I question if he is even 6’ !
  2. I would only trade up to #2 for Darnold or Rosen. Otherwise stay at #12 unless we could trade up to say #9 or 10 to get roquan smith. The only Qb I would take at 12 is Allen. There is so much potential upside there. Would pass on Mayfield.Probably go Oline at 22 The right side needs help. Rudolph in the second round unless a Qb is taken earlier. Lb, wr, and linebacker the rest of the way.
  3. Sounds like josh Allen to me. All except the accuracy. But hey give him some time behind McCarron and see what happens. He has a howitzer for a right arm! And he has the mobility in the pocket.
  4. Good point. It wouldn’t even become a bidding war unless Beane gives up a boatload of picks. That’s all that might entice the Giants to give up that spot. Our only shot it seems is if the Browns take Saquon #1. Removing who imo the Giants really want.
  5. This is exactly my take on the situation as well. That first pick by Cleveland is what will determine if Beane even try’s to move up to 2 or not. They probably have already had discussions since they know each other well! A J shouldn’t dance just yet.
  6. Is pick 12 high enough for Roquan Smith?
  7. Imo the Browns know Rosen is good too. Even after passing on the studs in past years, but I think they want Barkley...BAD! That puts them in a fix because if they take a Qb at #1 , Barkley won’t be there at #4. I’m not sold that the Giants wouldn’t take Rosen either. He does come across as a “pretty boy” , but he is confident and competitive. It burns him to lose, is the best way to say it!
  8. After watching the moves that have been made in the last week; I get the feeling that Rosen is indeed Mcbeane’s target. Trading Tyrod to Cleveland may have been a stroke of genius. If it keeps the Browns from drafting Rosen #1 and we can trade up with the Giants!! The draft can’t get here soon enough!!
  9. I see your point in this. But, also consider Washington trading up to get RG3. If they had not also grabbed Cousins the bust would have seemed even worse. Im not against moving up for a Qb and how do you really know which one? Its like calling plays. When they work your a genius. When they don,t you are a horrible coach. An example is Doug Pederson. Super bowl, 4th and goal and he goes for the td. Honestly I would have kicked the field goal and probably lost the game!
  10. I think if the deal is right Philly will trade Foles. We’ve had a pretty good trade relationship with the Eagles. I could see it happening.
  11. Jill’s faith is very inspiring! She is someone I look up to! Praying for the Kelly family!
  12. If he can adjust to the nfl game I agree with you. Anticipation will be big. Tighter throwing windows.etc.... being under center doesn’t bother me with him. Love his instincts and accuracy! I don’t feel he is another Manziel either. Johnny Football was hung on Manziel early and I think he really believed it. At least he lived that way. Mayfield is full of confidence but doesn’t seem to act as is if he is “larger than the game”or life itself!
  13. Beane would have to get creative for sure. Can’t see it happening either.
  14. I assume you mean Foles will cost us a draft pick or a player? Yeah I think he would be worth it. And he won’t cost us Cousins money either. Which is ironic considering that he just won the Super Bowl.
  15. I wouldn’t be against McCown as a backup either. I had forgotten all about Nick Foles until Wentz went down. When he has weapons and has time he gets the job done. Really impressed by him! I would take him before Cousins even. Its to going to be interesting for sure. I’m not missing draft night this year!
  16. I’m also thinking that Foles might be available too. Will Philly really keep him and Wentz?
  17. Definetly! His accuracy is very good. Watch his tape not just highlights. He routinely hits receivers in stride. But, he isn’t taller. If he makes it past pick 10 and I feel he might then he is going to fall probably all the way to us!! Along with a huge chip on his shoulder to add to the one already there! I also would add that he has plenty of arm strength too. When he sets he can drive the ball.
  18. Not that I have a problem with Mayfield’s height. I just can’t see him going before pick 20 and teams taking him instead some of the great prospects in the 12 to 20 range. The guy is really accurate and I believe would be totally all about football at the next level. We will see.
  19. Personally I think Mayfield will tone the “rah-rah college stuff” down in the pros. He is ultra competitive and seems to respect the game instead of him being bigger than the game. Ala Manziel.
  20. I can’t help but feel that Mayfield is going to drop. Obviously I don’t know for sure but I just don’t see him as a top ten pick because of his height. Doesn’t bother me. The guy is very accurate and lives for the game. I don’t see the top ten teams grabbing him and passing on other great talent especially lineman. With Cousins to sign somewhere and several other quality Qb prospects in the draft he may fall a long ways in the first round. Don’t be too sure that we take him either in round 1. I don’t know that Mayfield is a Mcbean kind of guy. Glad I don’t have to make that decision!!
  21. Shaw, how much if at all do you think the loss of E. Wood affects our chances of getting someone like Cousins? Would you look to FA rather than the draft to fill the center position? How to pay for it?
  22. I agree with all of this. Listen to Cousins mic’d up games. He is a leader and a competitor! His teammates like playing with him and many players on other teams around the league recognize his ability! Plus it would keep Mcbeane here for a long time. Stability!!! What’s that?
