  1. I'm pretty sure he was referencing the irony of MAGA hats being made in China.
  2. I definitely remember Jimbo grabbing Boroughs by the collar and giving him the business on the sidelines during a game. That press conference definitely happened where Jim called out House, but Dereck Boroughs was definitely in the middle of the Bickering Bills BS. Edit: getting old sucks! I was thinking of Chris Burkett that Kelly roughed up a bit on the sidelines.
  3. The stats didn't tell the story. Not only was Josh never and inaccurate QB, he was making pin point accurate throws of the highest difficulty at Wyoming that most NFL qb's can't make. His issue was missing way too many throws due to inconsistent and lackadaisical mechanics on the easiest throws. Still marveling at this:
  4. In North America. In European sports the pro teams recruit players from a very early age to their youth academies, and they start getting paid as early as 13 years old. Players can chose to move to other teams, but their current team negotiates a transfer fee. For instance, when Stefan Diggs wanted out of Minnesota, he would have had much more control over where he went. As long as Minnesota and the team agree on the fee transfer and the new team and Diggs agree on the contract. In Diggs case, the Bills would have had to pay Minn probably 40-50 million for his rights. Instead of letting free agents leave, teams sell their rights. Probably could have gotten 15 million for Shaq Lawson and maybe 20 mil for Jordan Phillips. Teams are constantly trying to woo players under contract away from other teams, and the market for player transfer can be steep. So there's no drafts. Each team has their own youth farm teams, and buy and sell players rights.
  5. Funny story, a year or two ago a friend of mine with a teenage daughter (14ish) is taking her clothes shopping. The girl gets excited about literal old school mom jeans. The mom is like, wouldn't you prefer skinny jeans? And the girl says "yuck, I'm not wearing mom jeans."
  6. Jesus, it's a ad saying they have a higher quality product that will last longer. So you should by it cause it's better, and if you buy their product you'll also help the environment because you aren't buying disposable clothing. If you don't see how that ad could motivate sales then you're probably just mad that the company is able to generate sales by saying it cares about the environment. Maybe global warming deniers won't buy a brand that claims to care about the environment. But most people want to believe they are helping the environment when participating in consumerism. Even if it's total BS.
  7. It's bashing Edmunds to say the Bills could find someone as good in the draft?
  8. I'm surprised they haven't already. And I'm not saying that they are looking to replace him. But it is always a possibility that they see a prospect in the draft who might be an upgrade or a wash, which would give them significant cap space to bring in one big time free agent either this year or next. The problem, if there is one, is the unexpected shrinking cap.
  9. If there's any internal question about Edmund's 5th year, the'll probably wait until Monday after the draft to extend Josh to not make things awkward with Tre Maine. If they draft a MLB replacement, then they only pickup Josh's/ If they don't, then they do both.
  10. Same, but he had Jerry Hughes and Kyle Williams in their prime with Mario Williams and Dareus. That front 4 could wreck anybody. McD's defense is doesn't have the same talent and ability to get pressure with just 4.
  11. I don't think anyone on this board is obtaining power. But I applaude your actions to recognize the importance of diversity and actually doing something about it. I try to live my life focused on solutions, which requires trying to see what needs all sides have... But I can also get dragged into arguing with people who come off to me as bad actors. It's probably a lizard brain thing.
  12. I thought it was two steps plus a football move. Whatever a football move is.
  13. Is pitching the ball a football move, thus completing the catch? Still not sure exactly what the catch rule is now. Watched some old Bills games from the 80's and early 90's recently, and it was a catch if a player had possession of the ball for a single micro second while both feet were down. There were plays in one game where the defender knocks the ball free like .2 seconds after the wr caught it. Since both feet were on the ground it was immediately ruled a fumble.
  14. I never understood why wr's and rb's couldn't wear single digits. But wr's wearing 20-40's and rb's wearing 80's don't make no kinda sense.
  15. A 1st round CB will most likely start, pushing Levi Wallace to cb 4.
  16. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. A quick Google search found 9mm handgun ammo at various strengths. My thought on this subject is that there may be a good ballance between stopping power and lethality for police to use in the first few round of their clip that can neutralize someone, while making it more likely they survive in the event of mistakes. But have the round become more lethal after the first x number of shots in the event that maximum force is required. Maybe the exact technology with the right balance has yet to be developed, but it seems like a potential for reducing deaths in unarmed situations, while allowing the officer to administer true lethal force within milliseconds if needed.
  17. Lots of cops are using hallow point bullets. Hits center mass are killing people nearly instantaneously.
  18. I thought the number of murders in Chicago were enough to have the Feds come in and take over bc it is like living in a 3rd world country? Now it's the equivalent of worrying about being killed by a shark. Cool perspective shift.
  19. 500 killings of unarmed people by 750,000 law enforcement officers is not worth worrying about? That's around how many people are sadly killed in Chicago each year, a metro area with nearly 10 million people. You are assuming that the solution I am advocating would lead to more officer deaths, with no reasoning to back it up.
  20. Less than 50 officers were killed in the line of duty in 2019 while over 500 unarmed US citizens were shot dead by police. The advantage officers have on most armed people is their training, which allows them to hit their target. I'm not suggesting police be forced to use BB guns, but less lethal first round(s) that could save lives.
  21. Police shoot and kill over 500 unarmed people per year. Most of them bleed out because of the strength of the ammo. I'd like to ask the officer who shot 13 year old Adam Toldeo once in the chest if he wished his first round didn't kill him on impact.
  22. I hear that. Most cops are carrying 9mm handguns today with 15 round clips. Technology has advanced since the 80's. There are less lethal 9mm rounds that police could put in the first 3-5 rounds. It would take 1 second to get off those rounds and could give officers a check stop to ask themselves, is this threat stopped? Did I make a mistake? It could potentially save hundreds of lives per year.
  23. I'm not talking about the taser, and I don't think there was enough time in this situation to tase her. His clip carries 15 bullets. The first 5 could knock a person for a loop without killing them. Same caliber, bit not heavy metal.
  24. You can't really fault the officer for trying to prevent a stabbing like that in the heat of the moment. It seemed chaotic and happened so quick. It did make me wonder if police officers should have some kind of less lethal rounds in the first 4 or 5 bullets in their clips. Something with definite stopping power, but not guaranteed to cause someone to bled out in minutes when they hit center mass. If they need to use deadly force they can keep shooting, but if they made a mistake it could save people's lives.
  25. Ben Shapiro is distraught on his live stream.
