  1. That is an underrated element of these discussions. We shut it down for the most part in the fourth quarter. It's smart as far as just trying to win THIS GAME. I'm a proponent of not taking your foot off the gas when you are up versus being conservative. This game, however, the defense was dominating. But as far as scoring points goes, we hardly tried to score in the fourth quarter.
  2. Garbage. But he is too small and cannot catch.
  3. Against Devin Hodges on a team that will be all but out of the playoffs, not really. Although I already said they were not automatic wins. I think that's our best chance too, even though I think the Ravens are better than the Cowboys. Funny how that is.
  4. Yeah, I think we will beat Pitts, but the Jets will be a tough game. I was just curious what people thought of the top three. That said, we most likely go 2-3 overall and get 10 wins. If we go 1-4 we probably don't deserve it.
  5. The Bills play the Cowboys, Ravens, and Pats in the last five games. We know that. We know that the Steelers and Jets are not automatic wins in any way. But in the three big ticket games left predict what you think we will end up with after those three games. To me, a historically great team, which we are not, win all three. A very good, Super Bowl caliber team wins two of the three. A legit team wins one of the three. A pretender loses all three. I dont think we are really good, but I think we win one of those three games. All of them are tough.
  6. Will be very interesting to me. I think we lose pretty bad by the end of the game. But that is more about the Bills not coming up big in big games rather than Dallas being really good. The run game could hurt us of course. But I am worried with short week, when Dallas is used to it, big game, national TV, on the road, etc. That said, I personally think Dak is a little overrated. Zeke scares me but Tre should handle Cooper. Their 2-3 guys to me are the ones that will hurt us if anyone. If we play a solid game I will be impressed for sure, because we really don't know what kind of team we have yet, even after 11 games.
  7. I have no problem with Josh running. I do not think he will get hurt running. I love when he runs on QB draws or most any other run inside the ten yard line. But I think it's dumb to run him into the middle of the line 5 times a game. He runs enough scrambling. He's great at it. Let him do it as much as he wants. But stop the middle of the field called runs or Options. Maybe once a game.
  8. I would sacrifice one guy McD wants for ST like Senorise Perry and activate Duke just for 4-8 plays a game, when you need a big WR for red zone or third downs or to test the defense.
  9. Fwiw, I really like the concept of the thread. We probably have had many like this before, but just to say little things that you liked, that were not necessarily the obvious or biggest plays or elements of the game is a good idea for just after all games. I liked that a game Brown was somewhat neutralized outside of the TD, Beasley came up big. I liked that Josh threw a few right on the money that were YAC kind of throws. I liked that we didn't miss a lot of tackles or let RBs power forward for an extra 3-5-7 yards that has been happening. I liked that most of the big play third downs the defense came up and forced a punt. I liked that they got Foster involved to some degree, even if it was only two plays.
  10. Impossible to know. But it didn't look to me like a typical hammy kind of injury. He was slowing way down when the injury seemed to happen, rather than it stretching and pulling when a guy is running full speed.
  11. His scrambling has become really underrated because he does it so often and seemingly so easily which it's not. As far as total quarterbacking goes he makes plays that virtually no one else makes, or maybe just 1-3 others can make, that we take for granted. Was there three or four 3rd and ten or mores that he converted. Who does that?
  12. The end of the first half was brutal. The one that drove me nuts didn't factor in the game but is just cluelessness, that drives me crazy. In Bronco territory. Early fourth. He tries to get them to jump Offside on fourth down knowing he isn't going for it. Then burns a timeout with one second left. Just accept the delay of game. Punt from 45 instead of 40. It's just an unawareness and disregard for timeouts he constantly does. He's awful in time management. Good in other stuff.
  13. Great game overall. All three teams especially defense. McDermott still hates timeouts. He's really bad with clock management and I worry it's going to hurt us.
  14. Milano Singletary Tre Allen Shaq Beasley
  15. I just watched that play again. Oliver rushed hard and was 4-5 yards into the Fins backfield when Fitz threw. He immediately turned and ran full speed after the receiver and caught him from behind. Just tremendous play and effort. Hughes does that but no one else.
  16. Very much emblematic of the entire defense this year, Milano has been inconsistent, excellent in spurts, makes highlight reel plays, is out of position and gap read often, gives up plays, and then is quite good in the red zone. He has had some good games overall but not consistent.
  17. Cutting "not my guy" is one of the most overdone and stupid things new coaches and GMs do. It's just dumb. And only should be done if that coach or GM already evaluated the guy in college specifically and in depth, ALREADY didn't like him, then studied his entire pro career in depth, STILL didn't like him, and thought we could do significantly better.
  18. I didn’t really mean you specifically. But it’s as if you and others are saying great or good BUT... versus great or good AND I would like to see consistency...
  19. McD has to get less conservative on both offense and defense. He did it today on defense. Hopefully he takes notice.
  20. It hardly seems reasonable let alone fair that a QB can only suck against an inferior team. He can get any amount of blame but he can get no credit.
  21. It’s clearly not in McDermott’s DNA either. He hasn’t waited 2.5 years to suddenly want to blitz a lot. He should though, because of Edmunds and Milano’s speed and playmaking ability.
  22. 10-12 at any one time in the league.
  23. This was the first game in Allen's entire two years that he got consistent good pass blocking. And he had four TDs, no sacks, no turnovers, and we scored 37 points. Yes, the Fins stink and that was a big point. But it is an equal point that he gets crappy blocking a lot. He got great blocking for the first time and played very well, more confident, more efficient, etc.
