  1. Sims did bring this up..."balenced" offenses are the kind we get gashed in the run on.
  2. Did Peters ever practice? He's gonna play, but that back injury...
  3. Bruschi actually roasted us pretty good. Showed how we did not have the athletes to contain...had nice gamefilm from Ravens and Cards game... Addison and Hughes getting toasted. LBs whiffing.
  4. I agree , but there are a few exceptions out there; Pros and media are getting paid to offer takes, so if there are gaps in their logic, this should get brought up and is fair game. Florio and Sims, espec Florio has ridiculous rational this week. Rodney Harrison basically laughed at him when he implied Bills spirits and psyche would be damaged after Colts game. He's cherry picked select stats to articulate his gut feeling. Sims is just picking Ravens to not look like a JA homer. His analysis was fairly spotty as well. Nick Wright; this guy is just a troll hot take guy who has found a vein of attention. Pete Schraeger; i didnt catch his take, but he was pretty affirmative we were the team to beat, now flops his vote. This year he's another guy in love with recency bias and "cold takes" that he switches / flops around on fair winds. He used to be the "writer" on the panel bringing everyone relevant data and research.....now he just kinda phones it in.
  5. I wonder how much snow games change with the newer turf styles?
  6. I said the same thing on the game thread. I really believe they will. Dont look past this defense; the core of that top defense is still there. The heart is live, and the gauntlet has been thrown.
  7. I dont think they can even talk about such a deal yet. ...but bring it on. Jimmy G nothing special.
  8. "Big strong arm that can slice through winds and weather" This has always been a junk notion. I'm guessing the model here was Bledsoe or Elway. Watch great cold weather or snow games....all screen passes and lots of running. Best Cold weather QBs ever were guys like Starr, Brady, Flutie, Kosar, Bradshaw. Kelly was one too, and Kelly had a middle to strong arm but i never felt it was as live as the upper guys that started coming on the scene in the 90s like Favre. Watch those old K gun weather games and see how many screen yards Thurmal and Kenny Davis reaped. Gotta adjust playcalling for weather, cant just heave it downfield.
  9. Im sorry dude, but this is a bit wild. Morse is doing fine, Matekevich has been what he was supposed to be. Seems like alot to jettison. I agree about Hughes, Addison, and Butler....and gulp Brown. I might not want so much turnover on the DL.
  10. Disagree about motor. He's been explored , given a great chance, and is just not a feature back. We need a RB who can pop a bit more. Id look to the draft early to explore other options.
  11. Yep i figure they will watch weather to make this call.
  12. Riding high on our chances, then Chiefs v Bills on NFLN....man just when i was feeling good. We blew so much in that game. Came close seeing as how bad we played. Forgot how hard it was pouring. I also forgot how close it was score wise until late, man if only that had been a fumble. Also forgot how we played with new DL and DE personel that game. In hindsight bad call.
  13. Early money on ravens from fans...I heard sharps betting Bills big in the last couple days.
  14. I have this one thought stuck in my gut; People are underrating our defense. I know some of the numbers from the season are a bit off, but i think they are better than the numbers and have a finest hour within them. I really feel like our defense is going to be the hero for us and bring it in this one....people are overanalyzing the Colts game. I think our D is going be insulted , challenged, and really come out fired up. This team does the work!
  15. Turnovers, stupid mistakes, special teams, and penalties are going to deceide this game. I know thats cliche and boring. As ive said, especially interested in how this crew will ref PI becuase the Ravens are grabby. I know Tasker agrees with me here. This could set the tone.... With passing being so important to the Bills Offense, my guess is they will call it more.
  16. Thank you for this enjoyed this commentary...very relevant to what we are discussing. Going to have to listen to these guys more.
  17. Mahomes, who shredded them....Mayfield who shredded them at home....
  18. They are ranked 24th. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2020/opp.htm
  19. Yeah, but that is not a snow storm on the level we are talking about. I thought the field was just odd there and he had trouble finding the right cleats. Was it even raining?
  20. I personally think heavy snow brings everyone down a level where whoever wants it more will get it. Josh would fare better running syle wise than lamar....at least i think.
  21. I agree that Dobbins will still be effective. But the extreme snow effects everyone....even big guys, but i think they fare better. Slick conditions make "murphy" come out...and you never know with how it can rear its head.
  22. We are talking about a few things here; Cold weather...can be biggest factor, can demoralize and put folks in a sluggish mood, espc early. Snow...light to medium snow in 20s or low 30s no big deal. Snow in higher temp can mimic rain, and not talking sleet. Regular snow melting on surfaces can make slippery turf and ball control. Heavy Snow, like 17 Colts game. This is a mire that changes a lot. It basically turns football into a differing game. It slows down everything. Gotta take short steps and reduces effectiveness of cutting and being elusive. I know people talk about running game in snow, but in some ways all bets are off. Lamar likes to cut hard, take big strides, and has had traction issues before. I think he would be negatively effected, but not sure about the others like Dobbins.
