  1. Oof D Thomas and Clowney are huge injuries. I had the winner of this game handling KC based on the Chiefs defense is liable to get shredded while playing a much tougher defense themselves.
  2. Elvis Presley was quite a Mama's boy. Just a stinker of a generation.
  3. Cris Carter weighed in on how disappointed he was in Brown. Didn't have a fall guy. When will these young superstars learn from the wise HOFer smh. His agent lost Brown's cellphone and told AB he spoke to Tomlin and Tomlin was totally cool with AB chilling at home before the game. Cmon AB not that hard. Fall guy.
  4. I'll compromise. They're still mediocre and get beat down by the Bills but Rex Ryan sacks TB12 out of the league in 2 games. It'd be fun if Rex has another career revival! In the AFCE of course lol
  5. Agree with all those points. He's a fun dude to have in the AFCE and not bad at all to have around to beat up on! Bills logic has me thinking there's a chance he comes in and makes the Dolphins or Jets the #1 defense next year. Because that's just what happens to the Bills.
  6. How did Derwin James make both first and second team? lol. Rookie too. Things looking great for the Chargers if Rivers can keep plugging away.
  7. Penalized because he's not going to be MVP. You're jockhopping someone if you want old man Brees instead of new NFL talent Mahomes. Also Gilmore's playing his best ball in NE, so we aren't as privy to that as we're used to. Of course he's playing on team with an offense that keeps the opponent passing, he's got a much better safety than he had in Buffalo. Maybe he's not making those crappy tackles and maybe all his safety *****ing was legit.
  8. Mahomes deniers. Hop off Drew's jock boys! What the heck has Drew ever done for us!
  9. I'll bet you can chalk a LOT of that to having 2 LA teams.
  10. Mahomes is going to be MVP..
  11. I liked Whaley's strategy, not the execution. Totally fine with the win now strategy and regardless we'd all be singing a different tune if EJ turned out like we think JA will. He inherited probably the best Bills team since the drought. He didn't draft well nor re-sign the correct players for big money but Beane is being totally naive ( if he's really throwing shade at Whaley for going for win now strategy) if he's not considering they inherited totally different teams. Whaley had some studs just disappear when he got Wrexed and had too many bad draft picks. Rookie GM move to think tearing down any roster for a 5 year plan is always the go to move. It was acceptable for us with Beane.. but equally risky if he can't land his draft picks either. He wouldn't (or shouldn't) have done the same if he inherited the Panthers. Ask Raiders fans about Gruden. Drafting well makes any strategy work. Beane might very well have re-signed KB and Star to big contracts at Carolina just as Whaley did with his predecessor's players lol. It's easier to smell disfunction in other teams. Every team has something going other GMs wouldn't approve of and want put their old team's stamp on.
  12. He didn't have a knee injury. I thought for the longest time he did, I saw the CBS report before the Steelers game practice. I had no idea he was MIA for 4 or so days. Tomlin knew he'd have to bench him and sent that last minute knee injury for media damage control.
  13. I imagine it's a fun experience to watch. One of those things that suck on TV but are pretty fun experiences live. Like baseball games for me lol.
  14. yeah but losing to NFC teams are basically wins. I read it here last year.
  15. Atlanta had a crapload of yards! Julio led the league in reception yards (most quiet receiving leader I've seen), Matt Ryan 3rd in passing. Poor defense.
  16. I'll take Champ over Atwater personally any time. Seems Atwater gets hyped for hard hits more than anything which I don't really care about when Champ looked to me just a more finesse player just as efficient, if not more than Atwater, at tackling and otherwise much better in coverage. I guess if Atwater is a lock, which he probably is, he goes in before Champ being older. But if I was choosing 1 to get in..
  17. That draft looks like it produced a ton of defensive stats. Edmunds Is in good company at that spot
  18. I wanted to stay pat for Mike Evans haha. OBJ was a wildcard sort of reach at the time IIRC. I don't think going for Watkins was a horrible idea given he was graded highest since Julio Jones and AJ Green I found it hard he wouldn't be that guy for Buffalo. I wanted Mike and we traded up for the consensus best WR, so I got the best player at the position I wanted. I wouldn't second guess the move. It sucks Sammy never panned out I think nobody in the draft expected his career to go the way it did. And he was pretty good when healthy regardless. Shocked he isn't a more high profile player with offenses like KC or Rams, but busts are always a possibility in this league. Even in the top 5, it's 50%, maybe less, you really get the player you're hoping for. Not something I'll knock Whaley for going HAM on offense with EJ and Watkins with a win now defense. Backloaded bad contracts in hindsight. He just didn't get it right and that's what happens when you gamble to win now. The right strategy for the team at the time. Bad execution. And then we got Wrexed when Tyrod (TBF a Rex dude) showed up for one last Whaley gasp. I don't think anybody saw the decline of Dareus and Mario Williams overnight. Whaley got gashed with his player selections, but he would have been crucified if he didn't try to keep that together while building an offense ASAP. Much higher expectations day 1 than McBeane. Anyways I wanted Mike Evans.. although part of me thinks he gets traded like Swatkins did too. OBJ definitely does by McBeane. Any WR in that draft was never meant to be holding everything else constant.
  19. Receivers typically show their real production they're capable of for their career by year 3. If he improves half as much as he did in year 2 (by leaps and bounds) he should be a solid 2. He's not Eric Moulds lol. Don't care if they have similar stats years 1-2. A LOT of receivers probably can be compared like that.
  20. Jackson threw for more yards than Allen in 6 games if I'm reading this correctly? Edit: no way that must be projected. Threw for just over 1000. He plays in a gimmicky offense for sure but he's been so good at what he's asked to do I'm sure he can adjust like Russel Wilson from an RPO offense to a more pro offense with likely more designed runs and scrambling type broken pass plays he had this year than Russell Wilson does. He looks like he could be anywhere between Vick and Wilson. I won't fault him for executing the offense asked of him flawlessly. That just tells me he has shown the ability to do exactly what the coaches draw up, and they should keep integrating him to a more pro-style offense as far as he's capable of executing it.. like Russell Wilson was developed in Seattle. I'm very high on Jackson. Not sure why any of us are discounting the season he had. Nothing wrong with exceeding all of what your asked to do, even if you're asked to run a collegy offense.. he's on the perfect page with his OC. In the NFL. That's a remarkable accomplishment. If his numbers are part of a system.. so what. He's running a successful NFL system in large part entirely built around what he's good at. Not necessarily to hide his faults. He's been great throwing the football I'm projecting Jackson, Baker, then Allen/Darnold as tossups as of now in that order of success. Not that Allen and Darnold have been bad at all or have nearly the help Lamar and Baker so. Lamar and Baker have just been so good this year and there's no reason to assume they won't improve and keep crushing it the next few years.
  21. Tomlin's the 9th most winningest coach by percentage in NFL history since the merger, has a better playoff record and more Superbowls (1) than many of the 8 ahead of him. He's had a talented team, but there's something to be said about a coach that has been able to tenure so many talented teams in his career. I wouldn't minimize his accomplishments one bit. He's had like 1 sub 500 season with the Steelers in his career. Has to be a sure fire HOF when his career is said and done and he may win more (hard to see with Ben post Bell and Brown). Doug Pederson needs a couple more winning years (or a SB) in him to be compared to Tomlin by this point.
  22. We're talking about QB sneaks lol
  23. Nah it ain't size. Allen and Brady just seem better at it. It's like a RB vision having the ability to find the hole to squeeze through a split second faster. Definitely not size. Probably length though and just quick vision and reflexes.
  24. Huge asset to Allen's game. I figured that this has already been noticed. Many a Brady drives would have petered out and many points left on the board if he wasn't a crazy high % player on the QB sneak.
