Mel Kiper's Nightmare Mock 3.0

So who does he have the bills picking? -
The drought ending was a nice story but next year this team will suck barring they someone get a really good qb. This team doesn’t have a lot of upcoming good young players outside of Dawkins and white. Milano is a bit of a stretch but has been ok so far. This team needs a lot of work and any more trades that could bring additional picks would be welcome at this point. Embrace the tank guys and girls because I think we have the right people in the fo to start to turn this around in the next 2 to 3 Years.

Basically a mouth piece for NE fans. That was tough to get through.

Source: Major Bills news coming next week

If I remember correctly clay and Taylor were injured in the last game so it would have to be one or the other correct? -
Big difference is Marv Levy had Jim Kelly as his QB and felt they were never out of a game because he could always count on the offense in being able to score a lot of points and move the ball at will. Not really the same thing with our limited offense. Also if your offensive coordinator is advising you not to go for it on fourth and 1 at the 2 or 3 yardline you should be fired as a head coach and offensive coordinator. The coordinator should always have faith that they can get a yard it should be up to the head coach to weigh the options and make a decision. I would fire my O coordinator on the spot if he came up to me and was like na dude I don't think we have it you should just kick.

Taking a time out and then deciding to kick a fg where you may try to draw them off but then kick the fg has nothing to do with Dennison. That's all Mcdermott one of the most conservative coaches in the game right now.

7-0 Jags, off to a good start!

Riverboat Doug at it again with his madden game calling lol
-
obviously I wouldn't have but I guess some of you in this thread would have bitched. I guess everyone in this thread thinks that Doug Marrone is an idiot who plays to much madden and doesn't get paid to be a real head coach. Got it. This team limp dicked their way into the playoffs by the good graces of the football gods. This team wasn't even in the top half of Bills teams that have missed the playoffs the last 18 years. They finished 12 out of 18 in team stats. This team finally lucked out and got a wildcard birth against a horrible team and **** their pants. And the reality is no one knows what the future holds for this team. This coach also leaves a lot to be desired. Seriously how many playoffs think their teams are going in a positive direction when they have to get rid of their QB and their offensive coordinator?

looks like you're a huge Mcdermott fan. goodluck with that. Dude coaches the exact same way Dick Jauron did. I guess you loved him too.
-
Everyone should remember this is the same coach that punted on fourth and 1 in the colts game with a couple of minutes down 7 because why? He trusted his d to get a 3 and out and get the ball back. Why would he not trust his d to hold the jags on the goaline when they had proven to stop them the entire first half? I know this is such a ridiculous idea.
-
I'm not it's because Marrone realized that he didn't have faith in the Bills moving the ball from the 1 yard line. and the whole game was based on field position. If you don't get it it's not that terrible. It's not like a high potent offense is suddenly going to start throwing the ball out of their own endzone and drive down the field. Wow you guys are really hurt about this. It's not ridiculous at all actually the other coach decided to do the opposite and they ended up winning the game.
-
did they score their TD when they backed up on their 1 or 2 yardline? You do know coaches change their play calling based on field position right? they didn't even give mccoy a shot your MVP. how about giving your god dam MVP the ball and expect to get a yard and if not it's still not the end of the world
-
How am I assuming a lot when the Jags haven't moved the ball all day and had basically punted on 6 straight possesions with getting maybe 1 first down to show for it. Not a huge stretch by any means. 4th and 1 at the 2 even if it was at the 3 you really want to split hairs there. really that's your defense?
-
no they should go for the 7 when they are at the goal line because the other team won't be able to move the ball from there. Also when you have the ball for almost 9 minutes and walk away kicking a 3 at the goal line that's a huge blown opportunity.
-
field position how does it work? When the Bills got the ball back they got it on their 10 yard line that's a huge difference then getting the ball back on the 50 or even the opponets side the field. Keep playing to lose though.
-
No one gave the bills a shot? dude the jags qb threw for less than 100 yards and they scored 10 points. The jags are not a very good team.
-
The difference of a game was a TD. do you guys not get that? If they get a TD at that point the game is basically over. If they don't they could still get a FG easily by playing the field position battle at the end of the half and prevent the Jags from getting a 3 at the end. Pretty easily to see really.
