If we are looking at money, "base salary" is meaningless. Po is on his last year of his contract extension. It's high because most of the guaranteed money was already paid up in cap. As to cap hit, $2.6M is pushed from last year when he restructured to free up cap space. In Poyer's 6 years playing for the Bills his cost averages to $5.8M per year. Bills got a pretty good deal for their money!

Daniel Jones receives standing ovation from Giants fans
ColoradoBills replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think once again that Spotrac is pretty close to what Daniel Jones is worth to the NY Giants. $25.5M per year on a 3 year "prove you can do it contract" is pretty fair for both sides. Add some playoff and individual stat incentives and Jones and his agent should go for it. A 3-year contract for the Giants lets them get out after next year if they had to. They have zero chance for a rookie, and they can't take the risk of missing out on the couple of worthy FAs next season. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-giants/daniel-jones-29041/market-value/ -
1/2/23 Week 17 Gameday Bills @ Bengals Pregame Thread
ColoradoBills replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
GAMEDAY BILLS FANS! What a great morning to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills! This is the game we have been waiting for to take that huge step to the #1 seed. This is what we all hoped for back in September. Big games mean you need your big players to step up and get it done. But let's not forget that big plays can come from anyone. TEAMS win football games, and we need the whole TEAM to get it done and come home with the W! GO BILLS! -
Who do you want to avoid in the playoffs?

Secure home field with the #1 Bye Week and let the other team's fans worry about playing the Bills. -

It goes both ways. People think he is an incompetent WR and he is not. -

What really hurts is they kept Kumerow because of that and look at that now. -

For the Steelers to make the playoffs, three things must happen, in no particular order: Pittsburgh must win their final two games against the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns. Miami Dolphins must lose out or lose and tie once. Jets need to lose to the Seahawks. (Beat the Dolphins next week). EDIT: Seems the Bills have to Beat the Patriots too. -

Buffalo News analysis of Tremaine Edmunds this season
ColoradoBills replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the AFC the Bills defense has given up the least number of points at 263. Bengals at 306. Chiefs at 332. The Dolphins are the worse in the AFC with 370 points. Bills lead the NFL in Net Points with 157. Defense still matters in my book.- 73 replies

Yep OL (1-FA 1-Draft). WR (Draft). S (probably Draft). Fill in some depth holes with the rest of the draft.

Happy New Year Bills fans! Sure would be great to bring home a Lombardi in 2023!

When I see the term "professional commentator" what comes to my mind turns to the poster child of foolishness, Skip Bayless. He is the antithesis of what was once "the sportswriter". I need less talk about people's opinions and more about the game itself. I'll take a Steve Sabol over the Skips of the world, all day long. I was hesitant in writing my earlier post but I'm glad I did. It's good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

I have to take a moment to comment about the upcoming game Monday. The reality is that 2 very good football teams are going head-to-head with the outcome extremely important not only for the 2 teams playing the game but for the KC Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens too. I want to take this moment to comment at the way games like this are viewed compared to many years ago when I started watching football. In the past, this game would get "hyped" for the importance of the game. Fans and sportswriters would comment on its importance and talk about how great it will be to actually "watch the game and see what happens". Today, it seems to me, all that has changed. It's all about trying to prove, one way or another, ahead of time what the outcome will be through a myriad of stats and projections and I'm sorry to say "bullcrap". I for one, prefer to sit back and wait for these 2 talented teams to fight it out and enjoy the game for what it is, a great football game. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who still thinks this way? I will add one more thing. It's awesome that my hometown team is involved in this game! Go Bills! Happy New Year!

Tell me then, if the Bills D gets beaten so bad, right from the start, how many points does the Bengals O score? In other words, what is going to be the reality of your "boat raced" hot take in points?

Josh McDaniels doesn’t rule out benching Derek Carr
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Carr started day one as a rookie. Since then, he has had 6 HCs and I won't count how many OCs and QBCs. He has flashed from a very good QB to average and it's hard for me to judge what he could have been with a stable franchise. In his 9 years he has had only 1 playoff games and lost. His injury to end the 2016 season and not playing in the Raiders playoff game that year was a shame. He has been durable and if I have a negative thing to say about him is that his consistency has been lacking. It's impossible for me to determine what kind of QB he could have been, but I do think he had a raw deal. It's time for him to move on and have a chance to show if he can get better (or worse) with a new team. Unfortunately, I think he is damaged from his career with the Raiders and I'm not sure he can be fully fixed. I do wish him luck against the league, minus the Bills. -
He's on a franchise tag. His market value is more than Knox.

...and a nice 6-3 win it was!

Of course they do. That has been discussed ad nauseum this last week. My point was to bring up looking at the game from the Bengal's view.

They have a lot to lose with a loss. Puts the Division into play and they could drop all the way down to the 6th seed.
