  1. I'd rather we finish off strong. I think a 9-7 record boosts morale for next year, at least something for us to build on.
  2. I wouldn't trade the house for a QB, he will likely fail because of his supporting cast. If one falls to us in the 1st, absolutely go for it. Not to state the obvious at this point but I think we should move on from Taylor and add a veteran QB as a bridge to the rookie QB. I'd keep my eye on Minnesota, Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford would be an excellent option for the short term.
  3. Disagree. Wentz is a franchise QB but still very very young. Once you have a franchise QB, I think WR becomes the most important position for a football team. With that said, 13m a year is a huge number for a guy that has battled injuries but it does ensure that Wentz has a reliable weapon.
  4. I agree, always liked Shaw and MASH was okay too. Did not like the others.
  5. It was shut down because after 17 years of no playoffs, the anger started to snowball to the point where censorship could no longer contain fan's collective thought processes.
  6. I agree completely. They didn't put the best team around him, I don't think they came into the season looking to tank but I think after 9 losses, I think the just said F it and decided to go all out tank. I'm going to laugh if they don't get a good QB to replace him, can you imagine if the new guy doesn't get Odell the football?
  7. They're 2-9, Manning is getting old, they're clearly tanking for a top QB. They'll likely finish top 3 and replace their 15 year starter with another 15 year starter and dominate the league.
  8. Was he not right about Tyrod? I don't see a problem with Richard Sherman, has absolutely nothing to do with race, nothing at all.
  9. He's not the problem.
  10. Dude, I listed HOF caliber players, not scrubs off the street. I asked you if you would take Adrian Peterson in the 1st, you said no!
  11. Many of the RBs I listed are relatively young. Kamara has revitalized NO to the point where, they might be going back to the Super Bowl. Dallas we're supposed to be contenders this year, their offense is bottom of the league without Ezekiel Elliott, now they likely won't make the playoffs because of his suspension Gurley on the other hand has dominated with the Rams once the offense was opened up. Peterson OTOH, I don't think the Vikings regret taking him one bit. HOF RB, 2,000 yard rusher, dominated on a 2nd tier franchise for a decade. How about Shady McCoy, he was a 2nd round pick, remember? Can you imagine how bad our franchise would be without him? Shady IS our offense. Let me be firm on this, QB and coaching are the most important positions for a franchise but once again, I'm just pointing out the myth that RB isn't worth taking in the 1st. I agree that I'd prefer a modern offense but if Adrian Peterson or Blaine Gabbert is there in the 1st I'm 100% absolutely taking AP.
  12. Adrian Peterson, a HOF RB and you wouldn't take him in the 1st? What about OJ? Thurm? I'm not even sure if it's worth talking football with you at this point. I'm not going to list all 22 positions but I'll give you my top 3. If you have no franchise QB: 1.) QB 2.) RB 3.) WR If you have a franchise QB on your roster: 1.) WR 2.) RB 3.) LT
  13. So you wouldn't take Gurley, Elliott, Bell, McCoy or Peterson in the 1st round? Answer this question and I'll answer your question, I asked first, don't deflect.
  14. If there was a redraft today, you betcha Alvin Kamara would likely be a top 10 pick. When you have no QB, WR doesn't matter. Once again, since that's our reality ATM, it makes sense to put a premium on RB. Not some bum draft pick, 1st to 2nd if the right player is there. Would you not take a Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson, Ezekiel Elliott, Le'Veon Bell or LeSean McCoy if there was a comparable prospect there with our first pick? If you say no, you don't understand football.
  15. Running is still important, unless you have a QB. No QB? Gotta run the football, period. What exactly are the other options?
  16. And Roger Goodell wants 50 million a year and a private jet? Owners want to re-sign a guy to a lucrative contract when ratings are in the tanks? The NFL has become too successful for it's own good, they turned into a greedy cash money machine. I can't even click on a link on NFL.com without being misdirected to something I didn't click on, dishonest bastards. Not to mention the good teams in the NFL are always good, the bad teams are generally always bad, there's no real competition, it's the same teams dominating year in, year out. Why should I pay an extra $50/month to watch my team get smoked 16 games a year? Not even just that but Roger Goodell will suspend a player for 6 games for PEDs when EVERY PLAYER IS USING THEM!! How about instead of suspending players for stupid **** you make the players stand for the national anthem?
  17. Wish I could like this post a second time. Letting Mike G. go was a big mistake, we need to do exactly as you say, add a compliment, gradually lower Shady's touches and have a dominant running game for the next 2 years. Invest heavy into OL. By the time we finally do get a QB, we'll have a dominant run game and OL to support him.
  18. It depends how the draft board falls, I'm leaning towards we should ride him for another year and have a premier RB behind him to not wear the tread on Shady's tires. He's the big 30 now, he could fall off at any time now but if we use him right, we could possibly extend his career 2-3 more years.
  19. Shady had/has OJ potential on the right team. Still think we need to draft somebody to take a load off of Shady. I'd like a 1st or 2nd spent on RB and have a non-stop dominating run game.
  20. OJ Simpson is arguably the best player in Bills history, he went what? #1 overall? Are you telling me if a talent like OJ, Eric Dickerson or Adrian Peterson was there, you wouldn't take them in the first round? Are you being serious or are you just that prideful and stubborn that you won't admit you're taking a stupid position on the matter? I'm not saying we have to take a RB in the 1st round, I'm just countering the myth that RBs should not be taken in the 1st. We need to draft one, whether we keep Shady McCoy or not, we need one regardless. RB is one position that can turn around a franchise over night. Only position that can have more of an impact is QB. Now if you have QB situated, I'd give the edge to WR over RB but QB, RB and WR are hands down the most important positions in football. I'm not saying there the only positions that matter but I think it's really important to have superstars at those 3 positions.
  21. It's kind of funny you say that, I sold an '06 last year and bought a '15, I'm actually saving money by upgrading. I sold my '06 to a dealership right before the head gasket was about to blow. Let somebody else deal with the repairs. With a 30 year old RB, it's the same situation. Even if you do keep Shady, it would be very wise to add a starter quality RB, just in case.
  22. That's not even the point, even if you think Ezekiel sucks, which is a moronic view btw, there are doooooozens other 1st-2nd round picks that carried their franchise. To take a position off your board because of a past failure is unbelievably stupid. Given our track record, we might as well just forfeit our draft picks if that's your argument.
  23. If that's the way the board falls, I'm fine with that but if we pass on an Ezekiel Elliott or Adrian Peterson because we want to reach on a run of the mill DE, I got a problem with that. Bobby was against drafting a RB in RDS 1-2 period, I just think that's such an extremely limiting draft philosophy. What happens if another Le'Veon Bell or Shady McCoy is there? That's my point, of course you take them.
