I just finished watching the New Blood finale. I had seen a spoiler today on the ending...that wasn't billed as a spoiler so I was po'd. After watching the episode...I do believe it was the way it needed to end. And they do need to end it here and not try to continue the story.

Congrats on the Rose Bowl win, Yolo! A great comeback! Penn State crapped the bed vs Arkansas. No defense. The QB kept running keepers, even I could see coming...and the defense couldn't stop it. Not happy that Clifford is returning for another year. Oh well. Michigan didn't represent well in the final 4 either. So...I expect Ohio State to recapture the Big 10 title next year.

Not likely any longer due to losses by AFC north and west teams. NE would have to lose out. They likely will finish no worse than 10-7.

I think the word for this season is disappointing. Disappointed in the lack of consistency of the Bills this year. Disappointed that the Bills aren't as "together" this year. Just as coaches can draw up game plans...but it's up to the players to execute those game plans, so it is with the team's plans to navigate the season in the wake of covid. Ultimately, it's up to the players. McD and Beane don't have control of the decisions of those players. So, it's disappointing.

Actually, I don't include the Pats among the best...though admittedly they are good. I was thinking Green Bay, the Rams and the Cowboys and TB (prior to all their injuries). I initially would have included Arizona...but Kyler Murray has not been playing as well of late.

I do think that the best teams this year are in the NFC.

I learned last night that a former employee and good gal...who was a huge Raiders fan...passed away in November. When the Browns took the lead and then got the INT...I looked up to heaven and said...Linda, they need your help. I swear I heard her say..."It's not over yet." Guess it wasn't.

Sometimes the playoff machine doesn't update correctly so it may have been a misfire. Go Raiders!

The key game is the week after that. The Chiefs need to win at the Bengals.

It's the opposite...if the Browns win tomorrow we move to eight. If they lose we stay in 7th.

The Panthers have a solid pass rush and with our wounded oline with most playing out of position, you knew it wouldn't be a cake walk. I think not having a kicker, either simplified the Carolina game plan. You just go for it on 4th down.

I used the playoff machine as well using that same strategy. I picked likely winners of games based on winning percentage etc...not what I'd like to see... and the Bills were not out. The losses in the AFCN have helped the Bills. It is likely that only one team from that division gets in. They will be eliminating each other down the stretch. I see KC and the Chargers in from the west, Tenn and Colts from the south, NE and Bills from the east and either the Bengals, Browns or Ravens in from the north.

But the chances of 3 other AFC teams also go down.

Even if they lose to NE, because of so many divisional contests the Bills stand a good chance of getting in at 10-7.

The best the Bills can finish is 11-6. They could get the number one seed but that would require no team getting to 12-5 or teams we lost to head to head finishing 10-7. So there would need to be upsets...Den beating KC and Chargers; Pitts, SF and Miami beating Tenn; KC beating Chargers next week; and Colts losing to Cards. Those last two wouldn't necessarily be upsets.

If the Bills win this weekend and the Colts beat the Pats, if we beat the Pats in NE and win our last two, we take the division. Root against the Pats.
