Especially when players are leaving because they're seeking huge contracts. You can't blame them...and when you see that Chicago front-loaded their offer to Edmunds, it's obvious that teams don't want to give the Bills an opportunity to match the numbers and give the player an opportunity to remain a Bill.

They didn't have as many "holes" to begin with. They had a winning team with Reid and Alex Smith at QB. They replaced Smith with Mahomes and they became one of the best teams in the AFC. The Bills had very little on their roster and have had to build from the bottom up. We focused on defense though, believing "defense wins championships." Nope...with the rules in place to favor the offense, you're better building your offense and just outscoring everyone. Look...even in the Super Bowl, that defensive penalty versus the Eagles sealed the victory for KC.

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR
jkeerie replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Despite outside speculation, these coaches are allowed to leave on their own...the public criticism coming only from fans. McD may not have wanted so much on his plate as a new head coach in the beginning. Carucci believes he will be calling the defensive plays this year. -

McD has not been calling the defensive plays. Yes, it's McD's defense but the play calling has not been as agressive as when McD called the plays in Carolina. Only once did we see McD take over play calling...in a single game, a few years ago. McD is very careful of not disrespecting his coaches publicly. -
I actually think it may be pointing upwards. I expect positive changes moving forward.

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR

I'm not speculating either way. I'm just passing on Carucci's comment about McD wanting a more aggressive D. Perhaps it was discussed postseason and Frazier felt he was being criticised, or being eased-out with the coaching additions. It could be maybe the season took a toll on Frazier as well since the majority of "trauma" the team experienced was on the defensive side of the ball or he wants to take stock of where, if anywhere his career might be going in light of the lack of opportunity to get another HC gig. -

Listening to Vic Carucci just now on Sports Talk Live...he mentioned that McD's defenses in Carolina were much more "attacking" defenses. I always thought Frazier coached "scared" especially in the playoffs. Whether Frazier was asked to leave or stepped away on his own, I think McD saw a change was necessary. -
I think NFL + is airing players combine with current NFL Pros offering combine commentary. I believe Knox was on yesterday with TEs. I don't get NFL + so I can't comment on how good the commentary is.

I don't think most of us are settling for just winning the division. We're just not ready to can McD as yet. We weren't even close to being competitive for so many years. Who would you bring in to give us instant success? Hopefully we take care of getting Josh protection and weapons in the draft. Many of us wanted to see a change in DC at the end of the season. Well...ironically we got our wish after all. So let's see how this offseason plays out. If you want to abandon ship, feel free. I'll wait a bit before I decide to join you.

NFL.com ranking teams WR situations before free agency/draft

Totally agree on the McKenzie takes. I was so disappointed in him this year. I rewatched the Bills vs Chiefs game from October this week, and he single-handedly almost cost us the game. I also think he talks too much and exacerbates issues that really are much ado about nothing. Generally speaking, he's clueless on the field and off. -
Bills sign S Zayne Anderson to a 2 year deal

You're thinking of Sorensen. He was jettisoned from the Chiefs a couple of years ago. -
Considering this was a 38 to 35 win...a close high-scoring game...why did I feel it was one of the least exciting games I've watched all year? Yes...I was pulling for the Eagles and the Chiefs won with a 4th qtr penalty allowing them to run out the clock (and technically it was a penalty but....) The game left me flat. The game was won by Reid's scheme. No excitement at all. It was like...meh. So, am I the only non-Chiefs/Eagles fan who came away feeling that way?

That kick of destiny was crap!

That was an excellent commercial. The promos with the colorful bird turned out to be no big whoop.

Kelce should have been the mvp.

I would love it if the draft fell this way, but like you, I don't believe it's realistic.

Just saw this on NFL Network. Good for him! -
Yes. It was a 3.8 earthquake. Channel 2 news is talking about it.

Jeremiah just said that the entire starting oline for the American Team could be day one starters in the NFL. I believe Schmitz was at center and Torrence was at LG.

That's just it. They don't know how to fix it? The only thing they know how to do is point fingers, eliminate those who they see at fault, and replace them with someone else. They guarantee that whoever is brought in will lead us to the SB in no time flat. However, they cannot tell you who these guaranteed winners are. Change for change-sake isn't always the wise move. You may end up better, but you could just as easily end up much worse.
