  1. It likely has to do with Rodgers not retiring after one season with the Jets.
  2. The Rams got fleeced. They got only a 7th round pick and gave up Allen Robinson AND a 7th! The Steelers are only responsible for $5 M of Robinson's salary this year. The Rams have only 45 players under contract and are still cap-strapped. This per Chris Brown on One Bills Live.
  3. Anger is nothing new on this Board, Virgil! Neither is irrationality. 😄
  4. I understand the constraints you're working under, Virgil. You're doing the best you can, and it isn't easy putting this together. It's frustrating seeing so many trades, taking solid players off the board ahead of the Bills and then being powerless to do anything about it. I'd be interested in allowing one individual, perhaps one of our draft afficionados, e.g. Gunnerbill...a crack at being the Bills selector rather than a poll. It would be interesting to watch the dynamic of that. I'd love to hear the rationale behind each pick from someone knowledgeable about the draft and the players.
  5. When I think of it, I don't recall many drafts where the Bills needs have matched up with the quality of that year's draft class.
  6. I'm not a fan of this draft. All the other teams are allowed to trade both up and down freely. Because of the poll, Bills can only trade down. Bills should have traded up in Round 2 to draft Sanders at LB.
  7. I'm not sure they raised it as a concern, as much as an observation that you rarely see the Pats bring coordinators in from other NFL teams. They operate with a limited scope. Your points are all well taken, though. I wasn't aware Reid had replaced McDermott with Castillo. Wasn't Castillo oline coach for the Bills under McD for a bit?
  8. Chris Brown and Tasker were talking about this on One Bills Live. They said Belichick has only a small circle of coaches that he trusts...due to all the "things they know" about all that has gone on in the franchise. That's why he didn't bring a legitimate OC in after Josh McDaniels left for Vegas. The "circle of trust" is very small.
  9. I sure hope there's no limit to the number of posters we can ignore on this site.
  10. I just remember seeing him throw to the sidelines...when you knew it was a sure INT...and he released the ball anyway. Can't expunge it from my memory bank.
  11. Those two were Chris Trepasso's picks. He did a 3 round mock and Campbell was his first pick. I'm trying to think of who the third player was. Just looked it up. He has the Bills taking Darnell Washington TE in the 2nd and Reed in the third. He was on One Bills Live with Maddy Glab on Monday and I remember thinking I would love that draft!
  12. Are you always this optimistic?
  13. They won the games, but every time Romo would say something good about the Bills, something awful would happen. He even mentioned it himself a couple of times during the broadcast. I just wanted him to shut up! LOL!
  14. I know but Romo is a jinx to the Bills. Nantz just jinxes kickers.
  15. I just don't want the Bills to play on Thanksgiving and I wouldn't mind avoiding Romo. He has been a jinx when he calls Bills games.
  16. Just heard this on One Bills Live. Good to have him back!
  17. I agree with you that this is not a great draft. I would hope the Bills take a WR early, but we'll see.
  18. There are always receivers that come out of these drafts in later rounds that turn out to be stars (Tyreek Hill, Michael Thomas etc). As long as the Bills draft with one of their 6 picks, I'll keep the faith.
  19. It's my understanding that the Bills want him to beef up in the off season. They recognize he needs to get bigger.
  20. If Beane isn't panicking, I'm not panicking.
  21. It may have been cheaper but it wasn't a bargain basement contract. Milano's contract was as high as it was because of his excellent play. That's what he earned and commanded. The Bills couldn't afford to keep both. As to Edmunds play, I agree there were times he looked out of position. Many on this board thought he was ill-suited for MLB and would have been better outside. You may be right that the scheme did Edmunds no favors. It will be interesting to see how Chicago uses him.
  22. I think you also have to take into consideration that Milano's excellent play...and having to pay him in order to keep hin...played into the Bills inability to retain Edmunds. And in the long run, if you had to choose between Milano and Edmunds, the vast majority of Bills fans would have chosen Milano...which is how it played out.
  23. The biggest difference maker on the KC offense is Kelce. He gives Mahomes a ready target who is tough to cover.
