  1. Both sides of the ball have been figured out, the coaches have no schematic strengths and Josh has reverted to his old attempts to compensate — only he can’t even take matters into his own hands and play Superman with this supporting cast of “weapons”
  2. Does this team even practice?? Between the end arounds, runnings into own blockers, receivers not on the same page with Allen… I mean what the hell. They look more like a comedy troupe than a football team.
  3. Shame we can’t drum up pressure on third and long
  4. That was really a great dive for the touchdown by Davis.
  5. We’ve given a lot of money to “home grown” talent that isn’t very good, sadly..
  6. We were a bad defense out the gate this year. Now we’re a bad defense with five weeks worth of tape 😣
  7. McDermott has spent years convincing him he needs to pass and not run.
  8. I wonder if he has help anywhere in this organization, honestly.
  9. It’s an NFL defense- just not a championship one.
  10. Lol discuss a non reviewable pre snap penalty?? Gimme a break.
  11. I work in sales and this is literally me any time a customer comes in and tells me exactly what they're going to buy and immediately pays full retail sticker price without any haggling whatsoever. 😎
  12. Yeah Allen can make magic happen when he goes off script, but he can't do it alone. If we could rely on Keon to be the player he was in the 4th quarter of the Ravens game - but all the time - then that would be a big help. As it stands we just can't punish defenses on command for manning up and daring us to beat them.
  13. Yeah I think it's possible to win with this offensive group for sure. With Allen you get a lot of leeway, although obviously we would all love a more clear WR1 who can separate. But on defense there's no comparison. Belichick hasn't done his legacy any favors in recent years, but some of his championship defenses were truly special. I mean he held that Rams offense that was no.2 in yards and points to just 3 points in that super bowl. Three points. I don't think even McD's most ardent supporters think we've ever fielded a defense that could win us a championship in that fashion- not in any year he's been here.
  14. I think it's an OK philosophy in the sense that the offense isn't being hamstrung by any one particular star player- the Patriots operated like that for most of their dynasty sans the Randy Moss years. Sure they had certain mainstays, like Gronk, Welker, Edelman, etc. But for the most part they rode whoever the "hot hand" was in a certain game. I think that's what the Bills are missing- Kincaid was carving the Pats up, so why not keep feeding him? If the guy whose finding the sweet spot is Shakir, then feed Shakir. If it's Cook, then feed Cook. Once you've unlocked the guy who's having success, you can stop trying to spread the ball around until they stop it. If their defense adjusts, THEN you spread the ball around again. Once McDaniels and Maye figured out that Diggs wasn't going to be stopped all game, they fed him to the tune of his biggest game in over two years. It's really that simple.
  15. To be fair, it's worth observing that our o-line only started getting really good in 2022 when we brought Kromer back (and his previous stint also coincided with the last time we had strong o-line play before that). Plus our best lineman, Dawkins, was a Whaley pick. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that 8 years into the McBeane regime we have at least ONE position group of strength (could probably say two with the TE group this year). But when you say "he sucks at finding defensive talent and WR's", you do realize that's like... 60% of the 53 man roster, right? That's an awful lot of suckitude 😅
  16. Chris Collinsworth was calling our plays before they happened. Chris. Collinsworth. If you can't disguise your intentions from that nose picker then I don't know who you're going to fool in this league.
  17. Atl defense is no.1 in the league in lowest YPG allowed. IMO YPG is hardly the most reliable metric, but if you're no.1 in the league after 4 games then it's reliable enough to say your defense is playing well.
  18. Joke's gonna be on you when he makes that trade - and then gets a late round pick back so that he can waste it on a D lineman 😅
  19. It's especially bad this season, but this has been something I've noticed in McD's defense for a long while now. I wonder to what extent they are coached to make a play on the ball, cuz it seems like even when guys are in position they are thinking "tackle" and not "attack the ball". McDermott always likes the players to keep the play in front of them, so I do think there's something being coached in that regard. But this year our secondary is so slow it's kind of a non-starter since they're nowhere near the play anyway.
  20. I do appreciate the assertiveness of wanting the ball to score points again before the half, but you've got to wait until you've got a couple stops. I think if you've got them in a third and mid-to-long then it's a smart move to conserve time there. And even if there's only 30 seconds left on the clock, if you've got two timeouts left in your pocket cuz you burned only one and THEN got the third down stop? You're good at that point. Yeah that's the way a smart coach would play it.
  21. Yeah imagine having Josh Allen at QB and play ball control offense vs Spencer f'n Rattler, he who was 0-9 as a starter going into our matchup. Sometimes you can just punch down vs an inferior opponent and smoke them.
  22. Our secondary was 2/10. Tre in particular was 0/10 so I think that might have helped them along.
  23. It might be that those teams we’ve played aren’t so inferior.. we just have a generational QB that masks an awful lot of deficiencies
