  1. He didn’t look all that good last year either. Spags’ D and other teams imploding at the right times basically got them all the way to the Super Bowl.
  2. Wow that might be the best defensive play call all year!
  3. Alternatively they could have just tackled him in the backfield and avoided that
  4. I think Beane goes first, and Pegula gives McD one more season with new coordinators before he considers making a move at HC.
  5. I’ve said for a while we’re a 4 win team without Allen. That estimate might actually be too generous.
  6. You can’t call that quick screen if you’re punting on fourth down.
  7. Ray Davis had a good return, but that’s ST so not sure if that counts lol .
  8. Not gonna happen this year. Even if we get bounced from the wildcard McD will have at least one more season.
  9. I honestly have no idea what we practice during the week. Can’t be fundamentals. Certainly isn’t being physical. But whatever it is somehow a guy will pop up on the injury report, lol.
  10. Give McD a break he’s still learning on field management.
  11. lol the announcers are glazing Vrabel so hard but they’re right. Such a stark difference between him and McD on situational football.
  12. Disagree, the turf clearly causes the ball to move around in his hands. If the ball is moved by the ground I think it’s a no brainer to call no catch.
  13. McDermott is just so bad with challenges, it’s comical.
  14. We just need Josh to play until he's 51~52 and then it can be a nice, smooth transition.
  15. Yeah that's what grand-pappi always said.
  16. I watched the game again last night on replay and those hits of his head against the turf looked even worse than I thought. "Player safety" is really just lip service, what a joke.
  17. With Beane handing out the extension that might be his floor 🙃
  18. Youse guys outta luck real soon. Youse gonna get manhandled!
  19. I don't think we changed much as the game went on, we just had guys make great plays at the right times. But in general the soft starts into adjustments has been the story since McDermott got here, even under Frazier. For many years it was just a given that the other team would score on their opening drive, and then the defense would get better towards the end of the game (before sadly going into off coverage and allowing the other team to get the final score they need, but that's a diff story). We needed to make some game-changing plays to have a chance and we did- that's it in a nutshell.
  20. Already earning that contract!
  21. Somehow the offense isn’t complimenting enough.
  22. I get where people are coming from when they say he is "doing what McDermott asks" most of the time, which makes him much less of a threat as a pass rusher. But with the current state of the D line, they'd better be asking him to do something else this game.
