  1. I want to trade up badly to get our guy. My only concern is giving up the 2019 1st, would love love it to be 2020. I have a bad feeling we could be picking top 10 next year (perhaps even top 5) and don't want to lose that pick. Do NFL trades ever have protection on picks, i.e. if its top 10 then the pick is deferred until 2020?
  2. I think this trade has much less to do with their interest in Chubb and more about a bad contract/scheme fit in JPP. Not sure this affects us much, with the positive being perhaps we have a DE they have interest in, and the negative being perhaps they are less interested in our picks now and this could signal that they are not in complete win-now mode.
  3. correct, think everyone else has it the opposite way. We gave up our fifth and got their sixth.
  4. Duh? So was that video...so is nearly all evaluation of prospects.
  5. I did watch the video, that does not mean I agree with their assessment. Also, scouting is not really about what you were asked to do, but how well you could do. Just because you could argue Jackson was in an offense with the most relevant NFL components does not mean that Rosen/Darnold/Allen would not have been able to handle those components better than Jackson if asked.
  6. point taken. To me, it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with athleticism. It seems counter intuitive, but I get nervous when a QB is too athletic/fast (felt this way about Manziel). When a QB is so dangerous with his legs, he can be elite in HS and college without having to be extraordinary at reading defenses, having supreme accuracy, and anticipating throws and routes. However; These are the things that make consistent pro-bowl QB's. Guys like Tom Brady were never gonna win games with his feet, so from a very young age they had to be elite passers. If there was a QB who was a phenomenal athlete and had all these other qualities it would be a game changer ( some of the young guys in nfl could be that: Dak, Marriotta, Wilson, Watson maybe even Wentz). Maybe Jackson will be that, but who knows.
  7. I think the reality is neither team is very good. You seem to be pointing out that the bills aren't great, which most logical fans would agree with. What you fail to recognize (homer?) is that the Jags aren't great either. The Jags are, and should be the favorite, but I hardly see this game as less winnable then Bills at Chiefs, and we got a win there. While I think the Jags are more likley to win, your tremendous confidence is surely ill-advised given the team you are a fan of...
  8. 20% of the tickets would be 13,433 tickets....I think it is very reasonable that there is at least 5,000 Bills fans from Non-New York going (I am one, living in CA). Seems very reasonable to get to approximately 20k bills fans at the game. Your defensive attitude screams of insecurity.
  9. I might be a glutton for punishment, but I want Peterman to start. I think TT gives us a marginally better chance to win (from like 10% to 20%), but I know what he is and I know this team isn't going places with him as the starter (unless everything else on the team is elite, which it isn't). Could Peterman be the answer? Before last week, I would have said probably not; now I will say I very very much doubt it. However, I need more than one start against some very talented pass rushers to know for sure. What do we have to lose? If he bombs, at least I will feel confident this team will do everything it can to get a franchise QB in the draft.
  10. oh right...but he has been hot garbage for most his career.
  11. LOVE the deal! My only concern is our general lack of speed at the WR position - I like Matthews and KB, but would love if one was a speedster or if Zay could play that role effectively, but he isn't that fast...oh and he can't catch.
  12. this will be a tough game. Raiders will be desperate, they need this win to stay in the hut.
  13. holy moly what is with this guy? Zay has had multiple opportunities every game to make a play and hasn't made one.
  14. I really want to think we can win this game - but the falcons offense on the turf play so dang fast, it will be very tough to get a win there. Just don't see us matching up well. I thought we had a chance to beat the broncos in a fairly low scoring affair, but this will be a different animal.
  15. i think the one thing that has always stood out to me was that the bills passed on Peterman with their first pick in the 5th round for Matt Milano....I mean, how much did they really like the guy?
  16. I have been a big fan of Tyrod for a long time, but I think you need to have at least one of these two things to be a successful NFL quarterback (among other things): Elite Accuracy or Elite football IQ. Tyrod has neither of these and I do not see him developing in either area. Just listening to Romo commentate - the ways he sees the game and anticipates plays, you can see how he could know where to go with the football. I do not believe Tyrod has that. He just seems to scan the field and throw to a guy who is already open, check it down or run. I am sad to say I am on the bandwagon that I would like to see if we have something in Peterman, and if not be focused on drafting a QB next year. Unfortunately, I think this team will ride Tyrod to about a 4-8 record before switching to Nate, leaving us out of the playoffs, but without a top 5 pick.
