  1. That Didn't stop AJ Brown and Corey Davis from both being top 20 receivers in yards. Also, I find it concerning that Jonnu barely outproduced their second string tight end Firsker.
  2. Jonnu is a tough one. I watched him a ton last year because I had him and King Henry on my biggest money fantasy team. Guys never had a 90 yard game. Seems to have good traits and does flash at times, but doesn't consistently contribute. Hard to tell if he is what he is, or if he has untapped potential as the Titans used him as a blocker a ton.
  3. I don't know if this is bitter or truthful. You can believe me or not, but I have a close relationship with one of the premier NFL agents. What I have been told many times (prior to Watt being cut) is that he is strongly disliked in NFL circles, particularly by other players. I have heard he is a total phony, obsessed with creating an image/resume that does not accurately reflect his person. That he is incredibly self-centered and egotistical. Could he have helped our defense, probably, but I won't lose any sleep over not getting him.
  4. I want to sign him. However, for what its worth I know for a fact he is not well liked by other players.
  5. I think it bodes well for us. It has been a loooong time since this has been true, but being one of the elite teams (with a great QB) I could see Buffalo being a top destination for guys wanting to do 1-2 year prove-it deals. Lots of exposure and a high probability of a playoff run.
  6. The playoffs have been a weird combination of excitement and disappointment. We got to the conference championship, but arguably were outplayed in both games. Our offense took a huge step back and I am not sure if it was injuries, play calling, quarterback play or all the above. It was great to win a couple, but I am not thrilled with how we did it. Going into the playoffs I was elated because I was certain we had a top 3-5 QB in the NFL that would keep us in contention for a Superbowl year in and year out (barring injury). The type of QB that could elevate a team and make it near impossible to beat. I did not see that from Josh (and I say that while also admitting he is already perhaps my favorite Bill in my 35 years of fandom.) Hopefully next year picks up where we left off in the regular season and Josh can continue MVP play into the postseason.
  7. Edmunds injury in unnerving. Until he proves otherwise, he seems like a guy whose play dips tremendously when battling an injury.
  8. Don’t love the offense playing and sputtering. Hopefully doesn’t affect confidence going into next week.
  9. I just have a bad feeling we face a pissed off group if we play the titans this week. Teams teams tend to play well the game after adversity, then the ill-affects deep in after a couple weeks.
  10. I was skeptical of Allen when he was picked. He seemed like an all tools, no toolbox pick. I tend to like QB’s without elite physical tools because they may have very higher football IQ, accuracy, work ethics ect to compensate for physical deficiencies. I believe these things are more likely to lead to nfl success. However, what gave me optimism that he could prove me wrong was his love of football and, most importantly, his seeming insatiable desire to work on deficiencies and improve. I feel so many Uber pHysically gifted QB’s like Allen fail because they have always gotten by on talent alone. They have dominated with their physical traits and when they get to the NFL and hit resistance, they don’t have the will or desire to work hard and get to the next level. Allen is not this at all. Perhaps some of this ties back to not being a highly recruited high school prospect. Regardless, I am so very excited to have Josh on the team. He is a rare bread of physical talent, work ethic and love for the game.
  11. Everyone comparing this deal to Hopkins did not watch much of Texans last year. I was living in Hou for much of last year and watched almost every snap he played. Guy was either hurt or lost a step, maybe 3. Would not surprise me if he goes the way of anquan boldin/kelvin benjamin/ Brandon Marshall ect. Most likely scenario I actually think he’ll be similar to Larry fitz of last 5ish years. Good catch radius, chain mover, but not a game changer. These deals are apples and oranges IMO.
  12. Obviously our scouts didn’t think they were studs.
  13. A couple things: 1. He looks surprisingly quick, fluid, fast. Anyone know why he didn’t run the 40 at the combine? 2. We know Beane and Co spent A Lot if time watching DK Metcalf and AJ Brown, obviously Knox caught there eye.
  14. Obviously both is great, but if just one then speed/quickness. Really what I want is someone who can get separation. I am a Josh Allen fanboy, but think percision passing will likely never be his strong suit. I think he would excel more throwning to receivers with a step then trying to put the ball exactly where a big receiver could get the ball over a smaller corner. Much like cam newton, who had a modest 59% career completion percentage with big wr’s like Benjamin and Funchess, this year he got some burners and was 68%.
  15. Anyone who is not dissapointed in Allen thus far just doesn't get it. Guy has simply not played the position well, at all. He has run the ball well for a QB, but you know it is a bad sign when the best thrown ball of the last few games came from Nate fricken Peterman. They days of QB's needing a year to be productive are over, there plentiful examples of guys coming in and showing a ton of potential, as a passer, early on. There are not many examples, however, of guys struggling to complete passes at the rate Josh has, who were able to overcome that. I like Josh, he has ton's of talent and seems to have a great work ethic and drive. He is miles behind mentally and accuracy wise. We will see if hard work and determination can drastically improve those areas; however, history has not been kind to QB's with these issues. The best thing I can say about the kid, is that if anyone can beat the odds, I think it could be him.
  16. The only hope we have is that coaches were putting players in tough spots to see if they could handle them, that they won't be put in during the regular season. However, seems no one handled their responsibilities well, and you can't give help to everyone...
  17. Simms has seemed to pump up josh Allen a couple times. I’d love this if true, but I wonder if Simms has a bias for some reason.
  18. What data? While I agree with your assessment, there is no data that truly measures anticipation, timing or football IQ. While I agree that will likely be why Allen fails (if he does fail), that is true for most quarterbacks. Also, there are very very few QB’s who you could confidently say excelled in those areas coming out of college. however, in my opinion there are a few things a qb needs to develop these skills: intelligence, hard work, and talent. Allen has all three. Whether he puts it all together, who knows.
  19. I am sorry as i don't really know how the offseason works. Will Zay potentially have any meaningful practice time before start of seaons?
  20. cant say i understand this with our lack of experience/talent on the OL.
  21. Our receivers should be better than last year, and we made the playoffs with them. They are not a good unit, but if this team fails to make the playoffs I feel it will be the OLine's (running game) regression that will be responsible.
  22. Trust me, there will be no quote, no link, not even a "rumor" from someone he claims to know. He will just disappear and troll the same nonsense in a few days.
  23. Lol you said that like it’s a bad thing...but Jamarcus with athleticism smarts (and work ethic) could have been a pro bowler..
