  1. Maybe he wanted Morse to get more reps before the game.
  2. If it's inflammation than I would assume that everything can return to normal once that inflammation is addressed and healed.
  3. I picked the Rams. The Bucs aren't consistent enough. They have a lot of egos to manage. They are up and down. And this week I think they will be down.
  4. Only a fool puts Fitzpatrick in when the game is on the line. Guarenteed INT. Fitzpatrick is really good when he is managing a winning effort, but he is terrible when you need him to win the game for you. He is the opposite of clutch.
  5. But I thought Miami was one of those mythical "good" teams that don't lose to losing teams...
  6. I don't think anyone can say he doesn't have what it takes to make it in the NFL because they haven't seen him play QB in the NFL. So that opinion is just kind of strange to me. But I guess people make judgements about players all the time without giving them much of a chance to prove it one way or the other. I just remember in college he was a pretty electric player both throwing and running it. He just got hurt all the time.
  7. Hill threw it a lot in college. He has been used as a gadget player in the NFL. But I don't see why some think he can't throw it. I thought he threw the ball pretty well, minus a few bad decisions. Before this game he had barely thrown it at all in the NFL. I don't see why he is such a polarizing player. Some people seem to hate him for no reason. My only issue with him is he is already 30 years old. He isn't the long term answer once Brees retires. If he was 25 it would look like a real possibility.
  8. Matt Ryan certainly doesn't look good at moving in the pocket and being elusive to me. He looks super slow.
  9. He is super accurate too. I'm really interested to see where he goes. He has the benefit of a really good, experienced oline that makes his job a lot easier. Plus the cake schedule due to COVID. But he makes all the throws.
  10. Tua isn't really doing much, honestly...
  11. Beane isn't McDemott's boss. Or vice versa. They both report to the Pegulas. And they both seem happy with the current arrangement. I don't see any point in speculating about Beane wanting to leave when there is nothing to suggest that is in the works.
  12. I have noticed that pretty much every successful, young QB coming in these days are two dimensional. You don't see your traditional pocket passers much any more. Jackson, Watson, Allen, Mahomes, even Mayfield is quick and can get yards on the ground.
  13. I said the exact same thing. And Allen had MORE rushing yards than Murray at that point. It was so ridiculous. Murray had a pretty mediocre half and they were still gushing over him. It really had me confused and I wondered if they had even watched it. I'll be honest, it seemed like Burleson was kind of confused because he started talking about how good the Buffalo defense was playing and containing Murray, but the others just nodded and moved on quickly.
  14. I disagree with you. When people said he was inacurate they meant far more inacurate than other QB's, even other rookies. They point to his low completion percentage as proof. But his completion percentage as not low due to him missing his target. That's just not the case at all. Allen did have some mechanics issues (as tons of QB's do coming into the NFL) and he did miss throws sometimes (as all QB's do) but he was not less accurate than other young QB's in the NFL. He was often very accurate on throws. His misses due to mechanics and actually missing his target happened, but were rare. He missed more due to bad decision making, throwing into coverage, being under pressure, not being on the same page with his receivers, and receivers dropping passes, and refusing to take check downs and other easy completions. Allen has never been an inacurate passer, or at least he has never been more inacurate than most young QB's. He has often shown the physical ability to put the ball right where it needs to be. He just needed to get more experience and learn the mental aspects of the game to catch up, and yes, fix a few mechanics (which is common in young QB's).
  15. And threw TD passes. And ran for first downs.
  16. I like the 90's. You had good offenses but defenses could still play defense. Today is good too, but I think officiating is as bad as it has ever been.
  17. Sorry. I don't hear people out.
  18. I disagree. NE does not have a good offense. Yards per drive is directly related to field position, for one thing. If you have good special teams and get short fields from that and defensive turnovers, you may have a horrible yards per drive and yet still have a really good offense that scores a lot of points. There's no way to isolate the offense completely. All phases of the game go together.
  19. Just depends. He's leading the league in passing yards right now. If he keeps that up, throws for a bunch of TD's, and the Bills win a bunch more games, he could jump into the 20's or even higher. We'll just have to see how it pans out.
  20. Yards per drive? Is that a stat that really means anything? How do they rank in points per game? How is their 3rd down and red zone efficiency? What's their turnover differential? NE is 19th in yards per game, 27th in points per game. That's about all you need to see. They don't have a good offense. Even Jacksonville is scoring more than them.
  21. Well, it seems to me that the NFL is looking for some kind of pat on the back, which seems disingenuous. This should have happened years ago, even by accident. And somehow it never has. They should be trying to hide the fact that is has never happened, not looking for praise.
  22. Good for them. Let's hope they do a good job, which is all I care about.
  23. Anyone else surprised that Russell Wilson has thrown 10 INT's? He has thrown 7 in the last 4 games. 4 in the last 2. That should hurt his MVP chances. And the Seahawks have lost the last 3 out of 4 games. I was voting for QB's and was surprised to see how many he has thrown. On the other hand, Mahomes has thrown only 1!! Incredible.
  24. I think a lot of Bills fans were surprised to see Allen in the top 100. Not because we didn't think he deserved it, but because we figured he wasn't recognized enough league-wide being in a small market and such. I know I was pleasantly surprised.
