Bruce Smiths 200 Career Sacks, will it be beat?
MJS replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
To each his own. White had 2 less sacks than Smith but played in 47 fewer games. So he was more productive in the games he played as far as sacks. Smith had a lot more tackles for loss, though, so maybe that means that Smith was better at playing the run and was a more well rounded defender? Both players are before my time, really, so I only have highlights and old games to go off of. -

Offenses mitigate pass rushers better these days too. QB's get the ball out quicker and don't drop back so deep. Plus, things that used to be sacks are now penalties, so getting a clean sack is much more difficult. Maybe one day, but that record is going to be there for a long, long time. -
Right now Diggs is 10th in receptions and 7th in receiving yards. Not too shabby.

Star Lotulelei OUT with COVID - Could Miss Next Week Too
MJS replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Draw the line at catching an extremely contagious virus during a worldwide pandemic? I'm sure the player's association would be totally fine with that reasoning. -
He was terrible. Slow out of his stance. Don't believe me? He was so bad they moved him to guard.

Agreed. Williams has been really bad at RT, so even though Hart isn't good, it keeps things the most effective. That way you don't have to start Ford AND you don't have to move Williams to a spot he has struggled. Win-Lose instead of Lose-Lose. It's incredible that you have forgotten how terrible Williams has been at RT THIS YEAR!

Can the LT snap the ball instead? I would want to keep Josh as far away from that side as possible.

The Bills stats are better than the Patriots. Better point differential. Better defense overall. Better offense overall. Better record. Better QB. Better receivers. The list goes on. I think football is too much for you. Maybe try soccer. You can roll on the ground crying right along with the players.

Buffalo is 2nd in cap spending on defense behind Kansas City (crazy because they don't have a good defense). Last year the Bills were 1st and Kansas City was 2nd. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/defense/

Nothing is legendary in the moment. It can only be legendary if we are thinking back on it that way. But it can be elite, and it definately is an elite defense.

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]
MJS replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd rather see Bates on the interior, but Williams mightily struggled at RT against the Jags, so I'm not sure I want to see Williams out there again. It's strange, because he played so well at RT last year. But yes, I think Bates is a good player. I would not be surprised if he was a starter one day (maybe on a different team if we let him walk). -

He could be a close contact and go on that list, right? Also, we do not know his vaccination status, so don't jump to conclusions. -
I don't think public executions have done good things for societies in the past. But it should be heavily publicized so that scumbags know what will happen to them.
-
I'd rather it not be public. People don't need to see other people die.
-
Hmm, well maybe they actually do have a good team. They just came off an impressive win, so naturally people will be talking about them. No need to let your Patriots inferiority complex shine so brightly. The Bills have everything going for them. We don't need to be so threatened by people saying nice things about the Patriots. I would sign up for a sucky Patriots team for sure, but it looks like that's not where we are right now. Oh well. Honestly, though? Having some competition in the division does make things more interesting.

Men need to really just be executed for this stuff. Just keep executing them until we have purged this out of humanity. If you strike a woman outside of self defense, you die. Period. Maybe then this kind of crap won't be a thing anymore.

Agreed. I think his biases come through. I also don't think he knows exactly what he is watching. You need a deep understanding of scheme and assignments to really grade players, in my opinion.

4 Current Players already deserve to be on Bills All-time team!

You forgot Dubenion for receivers, but spot on with everything else. -

Yep. Great player. But I'm a young guy, so most of the historical guys are ones I've had to do research on instead of actully experienced watching them play. -
I have a feeling he'll be back.

I think the two players you can talk about this are Allen and Bass. Allen is 2nd behind Kelly, and I'm sure some would make the case for him 3rd behind Kelly and Kemp. But for me, Allen is 2nd. Bass needs a few more years of elite play, but he is certainly on that trajectory to be the best kicker we have had. But dang, so much could happen to derail that trajectory. As far as pure talent, I think Diggs could get there. He is such a complete receiver. A clear #1. But he has some great Bills receivers to pass up and that will take time and continued elite play. I put Reed, Moulds, and Dubenion ahead of him for sure. I'd have to brush up on historical Bills safeties (Tony Greene and Mark Kelso?), but I don't think Hyde and Poyer are there yet. Maybe eventually. Same with Tre White. The Bills have had some really good cornerbacks. Butch Byrd. Nate Odomes. Nate Clements. Tre White needs a lot to pass some of those guys up, but he could do it. He has to maintain his play for a lot of years. Some of the other guys you mentioned are nowhere close. -
Chad Hall, even more impressed with him
MJS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is beloved by the Bills receivers. That's all we really need to know. Whenever they talk about him they light up.
