He had a year or two of being probably the best, but not anymore. Unfortunately, once he sours on a team he doesn't play as hard and goes into self preservation mode. We saw it in Buffalo and the Patriots are seeing it too. Now he is holding out. Despite his talent, I am glad he was not re-signed in Buffalo. I don't really like him. I never liked how he would blame other players, avoided hits, and was pretty streaky in his play.

One of the most hilarious head coach signings in recent memory. Failed in Miami, so the Jets wanted him? He didn't just fail in Miami, it was a disaster in the locker room with him constantly throwing his own players under the bus and saying stupid things to the media constantly. I could not believe how lucky we were that the Jets hired him.

Well, last off-season Bills fans and sports media were talking about how much they liked the signing of Addison and how it was a good below the radar move. I'm sure you weren't because you hate everything, but most people were. He was averaging nearly 10 sacks a season the previous 4 seasons. So yeah, hindsight is 20/20.

Addison led the team in sacks, you know... Sorry, but Hughes is old and hasn't produced sacks in years. He is a fine player but I would move on from him in a heartbeat if we got a good offer for him. I'd move on from him AND Addison in a heartbeat. I'm ready to let all the younger guys contribute and develop. I don't care about how many "pressures" Hughes gets. He never gets home and he has pissed off the refs to the point that they have blackballed him and never call holding for him. He is an above average player and I'm not sure why everyone is so attached to him and act like he is an elite difference maker. He isn't. Ask anyone who isn't a Bills fan about Jerry Hughes and they'll say "Who?". Not exactly a guy who is making an impact and turning heads as a pass rusher. Don't get me wrong, I like him and think he is a good player, but his best years are behind him for sure. He is totally the kind of high priced, old veteran that teams move on from. But truthfully? Nobody is going to offer anything good for him in a trade. Why would they? And sacks.

I thought this was all common knowledge, but with all the hate that Singletary gets, I guess not. We do not need a running back. We need better run blocking.

Which Bill are you rooting for this year?

How petty. -
Yes. All that combined with the refs allowing the Chiefs defensive backs to play very physical coverage (often allowing holding, even), something they did not allow in the Superbowl. Kelce and Hill terrorized the Bills in the championship game. Even if the Bills had been clicking on offense, it would have been really hard to overcome our lack of ability to deal with those two players. But honestly, the Chiefs were just firing on all cylinders, something they had not been doing the previous handful of weeks, and the Bills were not firing on all cylinders. Could have been a very different game. But I do think the Chiefs are better than the Bills.

The return of the red helmet in 2022?
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like variety, so I'm all for it (as long as it doesn't turn into some college programs who seem to never wear the same uniform twice). But I do prefer the white helmets to the red. They can already use the 60's throwback because it's the same color as their normal ones. That wouldn't be changing. -
Your list of 10 "Most Valuable" Bills players this year
MJS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's imperative that someone on the dline breaks out and has a great year rushing the passer, producing double digit sacks and drawing double teams regularly. Not sure who it will be. Hope we have a guy who can do that. Why? The offense is pass first with a committee backfield. There are a lot of good offenses like that. It's not 1975. -
That team has a lot of unlikeable characters, that's for sure. I like Mahomes alright and I like Andy Reid, but not the rest. Especially Tyreek Hill. That dude is horrible.

People always figure out the iterations of Roman's scheme sooner or later and then things tighten up for them. Since Jackson is such an athlete, it is taking longer for the NFL. But as soon as Roman has to mix in more passing, things start to crumble. I predict that Roman will be fired in a couple years and they'll bring in someone who can develop the passing game.

LeSean McCoy Remembering his Buffalo Days
MJS replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Uh, what? He had some great years with the Bills. 2017: 1,138 rushing yards, 448 receiving yards, 8 TD's. 2016: 1,267 rushing yards, 356 receiving yards, 14 TD's. 3 pro bowls with the Bills. We traded Kiko Alonso for him, who then bounced around the league. It was a slam dunk trade and McCoy was basically the only talent the team had for a couple of years before McDermott and Beane rebuilt things. And why am I not surprised? You crap on everything the Bills do. -

Hope they save some INT's for our defense.
